Thank you for talking through this video.
@@brucemikkelsen7615 I hope it helped! Thanks for watching!
Nicely done great explanation along the way.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching!
Those are lovely. In a variety of finishes I could see how you'd easily sell out at every show. Very nice work.
Thank you! I appreciate you watching!
Yeah. Sold something like it for 35 bucks a dozen. My sister would fl9at them in the channel at night at her lake house. Good video
@@nikburton9264 Thank you! Are you talking about floating them in the water? That would be a cool idea.
@RcWoodturning yes. It's how I proposed. It looked really cool. My sister and my (now) wife just thought it would be cool looking while we were having after dinner drinks.
@@nikburton9264 That's great! I love that idea.
@@RcWoodturning do it!
Nice simple project. Love the narration telling us how you do it.
@@DennisDolan-fl3mw Thank you! Still trying to keep the videos moving along.
this is a great video good close ups, clear voice, but no measurements and its sanded up to 400 what were the steps things like that are really helpful in a teaching video.
its a awesome series of what to do with a 2x4's hundreds of videos then goto 2x6 and its a whole new world and its so cheap.
remember everything does not need to be turned on a lathe, scroll saw is even better, its great
art is a wonderful thing it releases the mind from the normal and it makes you think outside the box.
and its not difficult to make 50k a year doing it.
you look at a blank piece of wood and you think of something new to make of it and your brain explodes with excitement, now thats a great time and what life is truly all about.
Thank you!
I went into detail about my sanding process in the friction polish video. The measurements are self explanatory. It's just a square piece of 2x4. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
Great idea Rus, love the narration. Thanks for the video....Dan
@@user-kf5of8pq9p Thanks Dan!
...cool idea...quick and simple...I like it...👍

@@_zhawkeye_9808 Thanks Matt! Appreciate you watching!
Nice simple little project, I’ve been making candle holders for the past month with my miter saw and drill press, but I do have a lathe to work with too, lm going to try your method now! Yours turned out great 👍
@@peterroper7471 Thank you! The way your doing works well too. Have fun on the lathe.
Simple quick selling item. You can make them more decretive for a couple more bucks.
Yes, there are a lot different things you can do. This is to show the basic design.
Nice work, thanks for sharing. Full View and Like 👍
Thank you Allen! I appreciate that!
Very nice.
Thank you!
People with skills like this amazing me all the time. I am not sure. Is that a candle? A simple candle holder?
@@hydrogreen1111 Thank you! Yes it's a tea light holder.
@@RcWoodturning Love your work. That is so neat.
@@hydrogreen1111 Thank you! I appreciate that!
Very simple . please don't move the rest when younger watchers could be watching and copying.

Again nice work. Yea people will make these, but there are 300 million people in US. Don’t think it’s a problem.
@@michaelmorris3627 Thank you! Yes that's true.
This design would look good either way it sits. Can a hole for the tea lite be put on both sides?
@@DennisDolan-fl3mw the hole for the mortise is the same size. I just don't know if the 2x4 is thick enough for the depth.
simple but cute. What is friction polish?
@@lyndaowen2154 Thank you!
This video explains it.

And what is it?
@@rudnijvlad Have you heard of tealights? They're little round candles. This is a holder for them.
If you calculate your time it looks like you could be losing money. Most people don't consider the time involved.
@@roscoepatternworks3471 I base my prices on 60.00 per hour. This is a hobby for me, so if I make 1.00 I'm ahead.
Where do you find $4 2x4s? Let me know and I'll go buy 500 of them today.
Lowes. They are 3.45 each right now.
Ah, another fire starter! A lot of people are making these on RUclips.
@@tlewisdean8645 Yes, they are very popular.
Used properly Tealights should not be a fire hazard. The tea lights I've seen come in their own metal container, so should not set the wooden holder alight. Also you should never leave ANY burning candles unattended.
No thanks.
@ThFitz Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
The plural of 2x4 is 2x4s 😉, not 2x4’s
@@thierrytalon8600 That's more than 1. Right?
@@RcWoodturning i think he means that pencils and pencil's are different words. The apostraphe means the owner of. With just the s it means many of.
Example
There are 4 pencils.
The pencil's eraser is dirty.

The car is in posession of the oil. Therefore it's the car's oil.
Now if you wanted to talk about the oil of many cars, youd say the cars' oil.
