Xiao Zhan has the sexiest smirk. He’d be a great villain in a new drama. I don’t consider WWX as a villain at all. I always think he had the best of intentions but the dark forces undoubtedly changed him but even then, he STILL tried to abide to the promises he had made alongside Lan Zhan at the lantern ceremony. Perfect character study, perfect song choice and perfect editing❤️
Wei Ying was struggling to protect his loved ones in a world that completely failed him. Even with everyone against him, he still cared. Cared about what was right, cared about his loved ones and the innocent who got caught up in it all. If you ask me, I'd say he has a good heart and pure intentions. Although his methods using resentful energy during the Sunshot campaign, don't reflect that. Anyone else would have caved in to the resentment much sooner, some may even be completely lost to it. If anything, he was desperate.
Imagining the amount of the energy that stone had, the amount of energy in his body and the whole messed up situation others put him through actually he was in great control!!! He controlled the stone the whole time great while others couldn't do that for a second. When he released the tiger amulet in the nightless city every one gone mad and srated killing each other to catch the amulet!! Their conscience and energy was so weak for the stone that they couldn't control themselves in front of such a powerful thing for a second while he lived with that for years although every body tried to push him hard and make him lose control. After watching the series month back I had no idea what these stones were exactly, I read an explanation about it that made it clear also referred tiger amulet used people's negative energy for power. The one's who usually wanted to achieve it were greedy people who used it for the sake of power and misused it to hurt others so their souls were weak and the stone was stronger than them and it could take control over them hence they went mad and crazy after a while. But wwx was different. He didn't want power he used the amulet to save people's life that's why the amulet couldn't consume the negative energy it wanted from greed to control him instead it was controlled by him.

This makes me want to cry because if you think about it he had control over what he was doing but other times he didnt like in Qiongchi path (I dont think I spelled that right but it's the path he was gonna go through for Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuans kids ceremony thing) When he lost control. This shows amazing perspectives over how broken he is throughout the time and such and honestly it breaks my heart seeing it all xc Wei Wuxian went through so much as well as literally every other character with their burdens and stresses. Wei Wuxian I never thought was a bad guy he was that kinda of neutral but justice guy, but then people turned on him and made him out for a bad guy and that in itself was stress on wei wuxian especially since he had enough problems controlling the demonic cultivation he decided to do, on top of that people blamed him for the simplest of things and ughhhh I'm sorry I'm emotional and fangirling and ranting at the same time ;-; this is one of my favorite stories ever and the plot is just so much bigger than what it seems. I really appreciate this video it's amazing and I want to thank you for making it and making the time to do this since I know it probably took a long time to do it all. He did not loose controle in the drama but in the novel he did. The novel is a lot darker than the drama. He's light character in the drama but in the novel I would say he's more of a grey character.

I always love it when he goes into whole grandmaster of demonic cultivation mode because people seem to forget he was the strongest person in the whole show i mean when he walked in that banquet to ask where are wen people held at everybody there was scared of him,the room was full of cultivators and their sects yet again they were all scared of Wei Ying,since show was censored so we couldn't get much wangxian i would really prefer more if drama focused on powers Wei Ying has and how strong he is i mean he is the first person to control darkness to the point darkness served him,it saved him if you look at it he wouldn't survive that fall when he was thrown at burial mounds if darkness didn't slow down the fall so he would live

Of himself or his surroundings. At his lowest; so he gave up. Those around him were thinking “please stop your scaring me!” He thought “damn right you should be scared of me! I am in control!” In the lyrics we also see other connections like a secret in the body that’s a deadly disease in connection to this power that harms him. They also mention in the song about writing the villains in their head so I will be remembered even when I’m dead which matches his notorious evil reputation. He can’t help this energy that is feeding off his dark thoughts. It brings him confidence. Great song choice! ❤

If Wei Wuxian had his golden core, he most likely wouldn't have made the Stygian Tiger amulet and turned to those dark tricks, as he simply wouldn't have needed that. Or he would have tried to use the Yin iron powers initially just for the sake of trying, as it had already found him before he lost his golden core, but would have given it up sooner when noticing that it was too difficult to fully control, before terrible things happened.
