Andrew I love that top secret jacket!! Too friggin cool
Had it since 2006 👍
@jdm_backpages on fb and ig if you’d be interested in any jackets!
Never would have guessed there was an r32 in fury road
I knew was one and there the fj called Franky which use to be a low car bought for the movie and they chose the R32 because it's pretty simple car when you look at it not much plastic or wiring
Great information about Bolt-in cages! AGI knows their stuff. It's amazing seeing the car getting together bit by bit.
This is literally a tutorial on how to build a GTR to a certain spec. Loving the detailed build 👌
update on your r34 please.. 😅
I can't wait to see your 'Poor Man GTR' spec 😁
Loving the new intro with the old cage being cut out, mustve replayed it about 90 times
I spent some time with all those cars when they went into storage after the premier of Fury Road. They are next level.
I love Andrew is wearing a Top Secret jacket. You really didn’t have to explain why you cut out the cage, pretty sure everyone was telling you to for your sake!
Even Andrews jackets runs 2 bar , came for the jacket, stayed for cages, keep up the vids 😁👍
It's amazing how many Australian automotive companies where involved in the making of mad max fury road, very cool story.
Cages have come a long way since the pvc pipe group b days 🤣
Love those cnc joins, look so much better than the 2 bolt flange type ones commonly seen here in the UK.
One of the best action films of all time. Possibly one of the best films ever.
God damn Mr AGI, my brain hurts after all the info you gave.😅
More great content as always! Loved the in depth detail on the cage types etc... Was interesting to hear that bolt in is still a valid option, although I didn't go much on the visibility around the A pillar. Still great work though guys 👍🏻😁
Surprised someone like Adam LZ hasnt done this with his street cars that he likes to track
We’re not here to talk about Adam LZ.
His EVO 6.5 TME has a weld in cage
Wow that was really informative and a good watch, thanks AGI and Motive xoxo
Bolt in cages have sure come a long way. I knew there was an R32 in fury road but I could never find it. Thanks Andrew.
Great job and Love seeing the 33 work and GT-R for all the chassis in general. Keep up the great work Andrew and I want to get things here in Okinawa going in that upward direction!!
Andrew, I’m pretty sure I did a track day with this car in 2014/15 at EC. I’ll have to go back through my videos and see if I can find it, but there isn’t many gold r33s on the track so I’m positive that this was the one. 👍if I have any videos I’ll send them through. Cheers
AGI boys are awesome to deal with
Awesome video and informative about the cage! Also great bit of trivia with the R32!
Been hanging for this episode all week
AGI are top notch!
I knew of an R32 that was built for the movie, had no idea they actually used it haha, love to know where it is
Crazy story about the Mad Max GT-R. Coulda been a big talking point had they given it some more screen time.
FURY ROAD,MAD MAX,sorry got excited there love mad max, growing up as a kid and watching mad max where they first revealed the ford falcon interceptor, with goose and that crazy mechanic, the blower and the mean look of the car just did it for me,mad max 2 is still my favorite but loved fury road with Tom Hardy, sorry rambling fanboy here, just amazing to find out this company did the rollcages👍 they seem to be high quality material, great choice, want a half cage in mine but don't know if they deliver in belgium.Need to check that out, great video, great info.
Don't know if someone already explained, but here it is why there's an R32 in Fury Road. When Miller was doing the storyboard with McCarthy, there was an scene where a high speed chase happens (this would go way before Fury Road, like a prequel) and the Citadel build the fastest car they can get, the R32 GT-R. The gag here was that modern cars full of electronics, wiring and ecu (like the R32) could be extremly fast but in a harsh and dangerous enviroment like the end of the world, those cars would be breaking down and malfuntioning all the time, and they would show that to the public. Where an old school muscle car with 3 wires and a bulletproof engine can just go, the R32 would have issues. That never made into the movie but they decided to use the car, since it was a good idea and it would make happy some people.
And yes, the R32 was meant to be crushed by the rocks, but they change it on set because they didn't want to see such an amazing car been destroyed (probably mainly because people would complain).
Maybe on the next movie we got to see this chase scene where the R32 literally destroys any speed limit on the last road, proving the capabilities of such a car.
This series is so good!!
This is amazing, very informative!
Stephan Papadakis from Papadakis Racing 3D Scans the internals of a car to produce roll cages. He has a video on his RUclips channel doing this. AGI should defiantly do this seeing the regs change so often.
Should have put a tape over the TOP & wrote NO on the tape
I love these videos
crazy stories each ep is good though!
Interestingly The Aoshima 05580 1/24 RE AMEMIYA FC3S MAZDA RX7 model kit has the same bonnet vents.
Yo That jacket man 😎🔥
Nice jacket dude!!!
That jacket is huge
Lookin comfy as
Nice jacket! :D
I will be contacting AGI shortly about a custom cage for my BMW e36 gravel rally car.. will be national spec rally.. all so wanted to run a few tarmac event's..
Must attach to the front strut towers
And pick up rear sub frame
Maby bolt in front. Weld in rear..
PS weld in is always better then bolt in... But when it comes to re Shell time bolt in is cheap and easy..
Ok well Easier..
Love the CP Evo 5 cameo... #cp4lyfe
AGI is the shit
I've just recently bought my dream car, r33 gtr. I've been obsessing and pouring over your videos. Do you have a build recommendation / page for about 600 whp street car?
Please keep up the great work! Super excited to see you working with a 33

@@MotiveVideo PERFECT! Thank you so much
nice jacket
Cool company.
I knew about the R32 in Mad Max but I assumed it was an old beat up RB20 powered one they'd used, not a decent GTR!
Nice
LOL! Top Secret, Smokey doesn't think so
I’ve watched mad max over never picked it was a Skyline
I think the reason for it is mostly metal and very basic
Are you able to fab a bolt in roll cage for a 1981 Toyota pickup truck ? 6 point for drag racing. Probably a 11 or 12 second truck .
How much and how long to get it to me in Las Vegas ?
Thank you
Are the cost on the website? Be interesting the cost for competition bolt cage for a road car.
Andrew you should think about a gtr give away
I knew there was a r32 in fury road, there are 3 shots where you can see it but i didn't know it was a gtr, I thought it was a gtst.
the cages looks to be on point, byt seing that harnes with loops halfway upp to the shoulders of the wearer sorta scares me.
It's all within FIA specification.
@@MotiveVideo looking thrue all the FIA papperwork and speeking to scrutiners i havent found anywere that those long loops on the shoulderbelts are within specification. Seeing that the belts do flex up to 20 % on a impact and FIA saying that belts longer than XX meassurement must be crosed. I cant se those loops be okay.
im not tryong to be a wiseguy, just want people to stay safe, the videos posted do inspire pepole to instal saftey equipmen themself and tend do do as they se and dont read the instructions from the maufacturer.
any chance of a the cage install vid???
This is it. We have to remove it to blast the shell and reinstall though
Wish there was an option for the front tubes to follow the A pillars all the way forward.
Space looks very limited for the steering wheel and pedals with the bars dodging the dash, not to mention crawling in and out of the thing :\
You can't put bends in the legs like Japanese cages. They fold
Which makes sense, but I was alluding to the bars ignoring the dash and trims to sit further forward; not bending around them.
That's weld in cage and cut holes in dashboard
That r32 in mad max is actually a gtst
You sure? Got proof? Considering we spoke to the guy that bought it, worked on it and we can see a GT-R badge, GT-R seats and GT-at wise guards.
I need help with my gto cage 😄
Are you color matching the cage?
Cool as. I sure hope Adam LZ is going this route in his R34 :D
Maybe if it doesnt get crushed lmao
If a bolt in rollcage is rally proof, it's good enough for an Apollo mission and most definately for a boat lol
We crashed their website
I’m still trying to understand why you can’t have a cage in a street registered car in Australia. Why is it illegal to make your car safer??
Roll cage in a street car with no helmet is a bad idea no matter how much padding you have on the bars.
More to do with messing with factory crumple zones and airbags. Also, hitting your head (which can be solved) and also if you get trapped it's harder to cut you out. We don't completely agree but that's part of their theory.
Doesn't make that much sense, here in Germany you can even get weld in cage street legal if you meet all the requirements for that and we have verry strict laws about all that
And the inside of a car is never part of the crumble zone that would be a verry bad idea it should be as strong as it can be and a cage does help with that verry much, think about the carbon monocoque cars they have the area where the cage would be as the strongest part of the car because of the passengers to keep them safe.
Roll cage with no hans and helmet is a big no-no
The welds are horrible on those cages. Should of TIG the hole thing not MIG
Wait in Aus you can have a roll cage in a road car? Wtf? Why not?
Because when an unhelmeted head comes in contact with roll cage bar work it almost always ends badly
I wanna race! Not racing, I am missing out on life & not having me race, you are losing out on a winner.
RIP R32
Bolt in for safety: yes
Bolt in Cage for increasing stifness in a busted arse flexy old nissan... not really
Your be surprised. Plus, stitch welding is our friend
Boy have you driven a car with no and with a bolt in cage?
@@miralemnermina142 Indeed I have, and when compared to my sports sedan TA22 celica where the A & B pillars, windscreen frame and all suspension pickups are incorporated into the cars super structure. It's night and day. My comment is not a dig at bolt-in cages (quite the opposite,) or what Jet Multimedia are working towards in this project.
Bolt in cages (by their nature) cannot support the roof structure or front suspension pick-up’s. A major source of flex in many cars (especially the likes of a 180SX with I’s lack of rear parcel shelf.
Bolt in cages have come a long way and do provide a level of improved structural rigidity (as mentioned in the video and are now motorsports compliant 😊.) They’re a great option for all the reasons stated, especially if street registration is required. But their focus is on safety, not structural rigidity (that’s the realm of complex weld in setups and I love mine for that.)
Keep up the good work Andrew and team. I do hope you manage to work out a deal with Ross to get their drysump kit ;) They're a genuine class act.
@@manitoublack oh I'm actually glad you took time to replay.
I have a totally different experience but this was in a very light fwd Fiat so idk
I had a bolt in cusco cage in my s14 and it was noticeably stiffer. And those cages are very basic, these ones look much stiffer. I'm sure it won't do as much as a weld in, but it helps
the jacket... no secrets .. its too fly
First one here
lol 1 frame of MM4
I think we counted 40 frames 😂😂
Wtf saying pretty 4 race car parts 😂😂😂😂
