I attended a Catholic high school growing up and wearing a necktie was part of the dress code for the guys. Wearing a clip-on was seen as a sign of weakness!
Looks fine. I wonder how a long leather glove would look worn loosely as a scarf, a cravat. Or does that look too kinky? It would mean wearing only one long glove - - but then again, Sade the 1980s pop singer also had the image of wearing only one leather glove.
The trick once you have the tie the way you want it, to save having to tie the tie again, keep the tie in the tied configuration saves a lot of hassle when ever you want to wear the tie again. 😊
