Simon you are god sent. I am Yemeni DV 2022AS00003500 winner living in turkey. My case is scheduled in Ankara but the embassy in Ankara only processes turkish nationals for DV. Should I ask KCC to change my location to Djibouti? (I am not even DQ yet) or should I wait for a 2nl?

@@WATHEEQ1 هلا اخي، انا قدمت ال DS شوية متاخر في ٥ يوليو، لاني ما شيكت على النتيجه الا ببداية يوليو مع الاسف. هم يبداؤ بمعالجة الملفات حسب تاريخ تسليم ال DS, لكن بعض الناس تطول معالجتهم و بعضهم تكون قصيرة، حسب ملفك. لا تخاف بأذن الله امورك طيبه، في النهاية رقمك ما بيكون current الا بعد ٤ او ٥ شهور يعني لا تقلق بيجيك ايميل ارسال الدوكيمنتس خلال الفترة الجاية.. موفق ان شاء الله

Is it possible to choose interview embassy at another neighboring country before submitting ds-260
I am from Yemen and live in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and while submitting the DS-260 form, I specified the location of the interview in Djibouti.. When God will help me with the interview date, I will travel immediately to Djibouti via Yemen and be in Djibouti a month before the interview.. Is there a problem or is the KCC going to I automatically determine the location of the interview in the place where I live. It is possible for me to leave Saudi Arabia in a moment and return to Yemen. I can never go back to Saudi Arabia again.

Hi, what if a Ukrainian citizen won the DV lottery, he completed the DS 260, he was scheduled for an interview in Frankfurt, Germany, due to war but then he moved to the US on U4U and currently is in the US on a humanitarian parole? What should he do? Just submit I 485 to USCIS or first contact Frankfurt Embassy and request interview transfer? Is it even possible to transfer the interview from embassy to USCIS office, what's the order here? Because in order to transfer to USCIS I guess I 485 should be filed first. Please advice, thank you!

Do I need to ask the new embassy to agree about interview ( am eligible to be seen with them according to embassy roles " citizen & residents")
Or it will be automatically change to new embassy by KCC as I will write my new address as I live there
Or I need to email KCC in new email about my need to change the Embassy

Hi, I’m in USA with legal status, I filed I-485 case trough my EB-1 case, my case is still pending,
last month my Wife won DV- lottery she is Back to my country with my kids, she never been or apply USA visa before, my question is when Interview is scheduled back to my country do I have to go for interview with my wife and kids together, or I can stay in USA and select my interview location in USA, while my Wife and kids can go for interview themselves back to my country? US embassy Pakistan in his website said they only process SIV. And they says that they are not designated special processing post of afghan immigrant visas.

HI Simon, my brother lives in Ethiopia and is a resident at that country, he is a Yemeni national. He won the 2022 DV, but the US embassy has closed its doors recently. Can he ask KCC to transfer to Djibouti? or whats the best way to deal with this issue? Thanks!

As long as his address is in Djibouti, tgat is where the interview will be set.

My family won a dv lottery last year and during new government in Kabul, Afghanistan they immigrated Germany 2 months ago so curreny they live in Germany. The question is: can they change their interview location in Germany? Or in which province in Germany? Please help me with this issue.
What happens when the DV winner emails documents to KCC separately?
Hello Simon I just applied for DV-2023, and I see it was successful in the end. Then I get the confirmation number and print all information. But I didn't close the webpage yet. Then I click the backspace on the internet browser because I want to enter for my other friend's information for DV-2023. But after I click backspace the website shows me that:
'The information submitted has not been accepted because it matches a previous entry in our records. Individuals may only submit one entry per DV period. Duplicate entries will not be accepted.'
I didn't submit any information again or add new information, I just keep click 'back' on the internet browser after I submit my DV-2023. But then I get this message from the website. Did I be disqualified for DV-2023 ?
Due to completing my study i would like to 'delay' my entree without risking to lose the GC. What can you advice? What is the best way to go about this?

I won the 2022 edition of dv lottery and I have submitted my form DS-260 but my case has still not been called even though I'm told it's current for interview at Accra. What could be the possible reason I've not received my appointment? Is it possible to win the lottery and not receive appointment?

Even before sending the ds260, you cannot change the interview location if you fill that one page of the form and save it. When you go back to it, you will not find it in the options to be able to modify it

Hi Simon, I'm a Tunisian and i live in Morocco, i've been selected for DV 2021. Can we talk about my case? Well my interview was set for the 23 rd of September and the US Consulate of morocco asked me to bring the Tunisian Police Records as well as the moroccan one, so you can guess that the Tunisian document didn't make it before the deadline. a logistic problem due to Covid 19, so Game over for me. i wish it doesn't happen to anyone.
I know 2 Tunisian change the location to India and they were both current for interview . How do you explain that ?

You can apply dv 2023 no problem
For Syrian living in Turkey, they assigned Ankara embassy. Ankara only process for Turkish people. They are legal residents and have Turkish resident permits. WTH Turkey???

Hi Brit, am a selectee AF57xxx East Africa and my case was automatically allocated for Abudhabhi on the 1NL. I changed it when I was filling form Ds-260 to Nairobi. Was there a reason for KCC to post me in Abudhabhi yet Nairobi is nearby Country.

Yes if the person meets the education or work experience requirements. It also has to be done before 5th November, the date that the person turns 21

Generally it is too late to ask at that point because you become locked in to the embassy assigned to you based on your address.
