Love this home. I just find annoying the constant reference that it’s very masculine because it’s black and sober. I’m a very girly women (on my husband’s account) and black is part of my daily aesthetic. Am I less girly. And a guy that likes pink less masculine? Anyway amazing home beautifully designed ,I would just love that in 2023 we could drop that girls like pink and boys like blue
It really comes down to energy. Feminine is inherently inviting, magnetic, comfortable and nurturing. Masculine energy is efficient, electric, strength and practicality, to me this house is all of that. When I see this house I know that’s it’s a house designed for a man.

Gorgeous house, very tastefully done except the dining table benches….so unconfortable to sit on and more for outdoors. But the rest is just wonderful!❤️
Love this house, but imagine a lot of the black furniture / furnishings would absorb a lot of heat… especially what’s outdoors, with very little shade or greenery to keep it cool.
Too dark, intense and ‘hard’ for my liking. It doesn’t give me happy home vibes. The colour palate of the bathroom 5:10 was fantastic though. That would be more my taste if the whole house (main areas) had that scheme.
yes great EXCEPT that the steps...were the transition happens...THE FIRST STEP IS TO SMALL........ THAT IS..... NOT WIDE ENOUGH......I BEYT...I BET SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY FALLEN THERE...BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO LOOK DOWN OR YOU BREAK YOUR NECK./......YES MAKE IT A LITTLE ONGER AND 6" WIDER...............DONT TAKE MY WORD....GO TO ROME AND SEE HOW THE ROMAN ENTER THEIR BUILDINGS.........
Lets be clear shall we? Black = is depressing. You can chat it up all you want but BLACK IS DEPRESSING! I would hate to live in this house through winter.
Black may be depressing for you but that doesn't mean it's not something else to someone else. My bedroom has charcoal grey wall with most of the furnishings in other shades of grey with some Carrara Marble and chrome. Some may find it somber but I find it comforting. Every night when I walk in there after my day my whole body just relaxes. Color is so subjective.
This house looks uninhabitat empty masculine Alcatraz or a black mental institution, not even a book in sight, this guy absorbed zero from Bali aesthetic, the drone video shows it.. Sad
The way Jonny used his hands in this was so distracting and wanna-be engaging. Not surprised he would design a house like this. Love the Brutalist vibe. But chill with all the hand gestures. 🤭 Minus points for him still using the dated term of “master bedroom” instead of “primary” - its racially insensitive. As someone priding themselves on design forward approach in design, forward your use of language. That’s just as important as design, if not more.
