Thank you so much for bringing Losurdo to an English audience. I'm learning so much from the reading and from your videos.

Thank y'all for your hard work,
Thank you and RIP, Mr. Losurdo,
and thanks to the editors and translators for bringing this (along with some of his other works) to English speakers.
Being an everyday worker within the core of the imperial core, I don't think I can adequately express how useful Losurdo's thought has proved for my own attempts to make sense of contemporary and historical marxist discourse, as well as the material shape of the world as a whole.
I was fortunate, I think, in my exodus from my native conservative ideologies, to have skipped over the centrist / commodified liberal-pseudomarxism in the course of my journey leftwards.
I more or less stumbled across thinkers like Parenti, Losurdo, Rodney, and others before either revisionist thinkers or dogmatists could sink their claws into me fully.
I appreciate the sh*t out of that.

Objectively speaking, Russia is actually more anti-imperialist right now than China, despite having a conservative government. This because of the almost direct military confrontation with the West in Ukraine and the massive sanctions because of this war. China’s economy is still heavily integrated with the West and the Chinese are not yet in a military confrontation with the West over Taiwan (although that is definitely coming soon I think). So I would argue that Russia at the moment is more anti-imperialist than China because of this. I suspect that most communists will have a hard time accepting that fact, but it’s a fact nonetheless.

      Maybe,
I don't know if that's the best way to conceptualize it, though.
Like, if we're "measuring" anti-imperialism on a sliding scale, I guess I would want to consider ALL of Russia's external relations alongside their conflict with NATO.
(along with internal rhetoric and political theory, etc)
Because an *inter-imperialist conflict* is not the same as anti-imperialism,
Do you know what I mean?
I'm not sure how we would forthrightly quantify/qualify your claim, and I don't know how it would be so useful to evaluate Russia vs China, level 2 anti-imperialism vs level 1, or something like that.
This "objective" determination you've made here seems too restricted to actually measure what it purports to measure, that's all - and I'm not seeing how it would be useful if it did.
I'm really not trying to be rude, btw
Sorry if I sound dismissive or condescending

@@KP-uc1ez completely agree with you, I think OP's view, essentially trying to purity test anti-imperialist nations by attempting to quantify their anti-imperialism is an over-simplified way to view things, bordering on idealism.

@@waltonsmith7210 Cutrone actually has a lot of interesting ideas and opinions, but his main problem (and the problem with Platypus in general) is a total misunderstanding and cluelessness about imperialism and geopolitics.

I'm sure everyone would be happy to engage with your critique on its own merit if you'd share.
This comment is more akin to a muffled Ad-Hom than an outspoken criticism.
