Typical academic. Turn over your money, which is your liberty, to someone that is smarter than you. How about the bureaucrats spend less. As a side note, virtually no one in the US has actually paid a tax rate of 90%. No productive society could sustain this. If 90% is so great why not 100%? We could all become gov employees and have someone at the DMV manage our affairs.
he said 70%, and if you have more money, you are not smarter, you just were born more privledged and got passed down a knowledge that helped you mutiply your income. If that knowledge was passed on normal people the game would not have been rigged against us. Also a lot of these "smart people" are investing in economy that makes normal people poorer. The ignorace in your comment is staggering.
How can you speak to tax increases without speaking to fiat currencies and the unlimited printing of money? We have a ruling class printing trillions a year and we have to increase taxes to bail out the interest? Speak to the real problem if you have the courage
Yep, super high taxes on the rich and the billioniare class cannot even cover yearly spending by the fed gov. I agree the guy is a fraud and does the usual.
All you do is basically saying - a little diplomatically: So, Mr Carson, what do you think about paying a lot more taxes from your huge wealth than you are right now? And he explodes in your face - as fully expected ... Thank you for airing this.
I do not believe that most people are in favor of higher taxes. I personally see no justification and strongly oppose having higher tax brackets for higher earners. I don't think it's the right solution. I think the combination of higher brackets and loopholes is an intentional obfuscation which allows many elite entities to pretend they contribute more while actually contributing less. I also do not think that either one is a solution to government debt. That's tied to oversized government, overspending and graft.
When someone like Rutger talks over you, you know he has lost the debate.

amazing
Well that’s 7 minutes and 59 seconds of my life that I’ll never get back.
This guy is wonderful. Thank you Rutger!
All I know is that apparently the CIA said "no thanks".
Well done, Mr. Bregman!
We need to hear more from you!
Hope this goes viral!
I love Rutger! Goed gedaan Rutger!

That distinctly didn't happen, but ok...
@@michael-r4k In a very circumvent way that was exactly what happened and that is exactly why Carson blew up.
@@susanne5803 In no way whatsoever is that what happened.

A major problem is a refusal to balance the budget. Tax cuts are handed out to the rich while very little benefits are cut, so national debt soars.
Hope he's still alive. Follow up ?!?
Wow
You didn’t really seem to back up your point about Carlson entirely. This seemed pretty half-assed on both sides.
I wouldn't air that garbage either. I don't even believe it was for on air, it was probably some prelim phone call.
