So so humble. We love you Kei. You’re a legend.
The start of the legend career✨🇯🇵
Happy Birthday Kei ,the tennis Samurai , cheering for you since that day you won Delray Beach !
Nishikori today looks identical to when he was 18 years old. If someone had told me that this video is from 2021 I would believe it.
Hahahha i know. It’s actually insane how little he’s aged.
@@richtofen4888 asians dont age at all until 50 then age very fast.
Nishikori has always been such a pure striker of the ball, from the back of the court.
It’s just the lack of power and pace on his serve that lets him down
Yup, it's been the serve that lets him down against a lot of top players. From the back of the court he can actually hang with the very best in the world.
I also think in the biggest matches of his career, he often looked too nervous to play his best tennis. And of course, his injuries didn't help either.
100% would've made more slam finals, maybe even won a slam or two, if he had a better serve (not really his fault though he's limited because of his height)
He has a bad technique on service, his arm movement is weird.
what an explosive style and technique, gotta love Kei !
and that Blake forehand tho, what a devastating shot
nice match to watch for sure, thanks !
Happy Birthday Kei love this player. So humble, devoted to the sport.
Thank you tennis TV
Thank you Nishikori
I rooted for him that entire tournament. His talent was clear immediately.
It's crazy how much harder players hit the ball these days than in the Edberg, Agassi, Samprass days
Thanks! I think you should upload more highlights from 2004-2008! A lot of people doesn't aware to the tennis of those years.
「KEI NISHIKOOORI~」I wanna hear it in his match again!! He is a Fantastic and Amaging Player in the world!!!
Nishikori is unlucky to never have won a GS. The guy defeated novak only to lose to cilic. One of the best returners of the game. I wish he comes back again to show some quality stuff❤
All my blessings to Kei and your family .Happy Birthday Kei Nishikori 🎂🌹🥂
6:09 the fake drop shot is a play that totally disturbed the mind of your opponent

Kei was probably the most talented shot maker ever of east asian descent in tennis history. If he would've stayed healthier and born a few years earlier he could've snagged a slam
In terms of pure talent and ball striking, I think the best asian ever has been Paradorn Srichaphan, despite he had so many injuries
Well, Naomi is better and she got slams.
@@Smileateri was talking about best tecnique/skills, not achievements, of asian male players. Anyway I also think Li Na had Better tecnique and cleaner ball strinking than Osaka.
He was at 244 and just Playing better than top 50 Today lol
And better than top 10 back then
You know Blake was top ten here? Lol

His story started from here

very nice video, great content! 💖😍 God bless u and your family. Keep rising and shining... Sending lots of love💕from Sydney, Australia.
Its crazy how the asian people seem to not age like the rest of the world. Nishikori doesnt look to much different nowadays.
It's our ancient secret
Yep, there are people who think my dad and I are brothers because my dad looks fairly young.
Asian and black people dont age
when louis and clark went looking for the fountain of youth they meant the asian american
6:12 was the first time i ever saw someone fake the drop shot like that. now you see players do this all the time
Dude, that it's a "classic" shot, old as it gets wayy before the Open era, it was actually more common back then to have that type of shots
@@diegosotomiranda4107 ah, well i guess i grew up watching agassi and so personally this was a first for me
I believe that kei will come back in 2022!like Andy
If it wasn’t for his serve, he would‘ve had at least one slam
the title makes it seem like blake was ranked 244, not nishikori
❤❤❤
he used to be much betteer striker back then
with his fragile elbow it was short period
6:12 Most people will look at the right side of the screen
but ...
title was a bit misleading... thought blake was ranked 244 lol
Blake was top ten at that time
@@diegosotomiranda4107 i wasn’t even born that time… that’s why it mislead me into believing he was 244 😂
Wow
Nole is the best

KEI NISHIKORI
Whoa! 4-0 in 2008? This means he won his first ATP title at his very first try! How many players can claim that feat?
No he was 4-0 in 2008 but he turned pro in 2007
@@julianamatolibson6595 4-0 in main draw matches, he'd played challengers and futures before this but delray was his first main tour tourney
@@sxm9071 no he played some 250 in 2007

Today is his birthday 🎉🎉🎉
Nishikori's game hasn't really evolved, if anything it was better here. Similar to Gasquet, better players when they were teens.
NIshi had already perfect strokes.Gasquet should make his forehand better
Idk one Match it's not deciding, i think he improved his bh and fh, his slice here it's pretty average too, and Blake was a good but one dimensional player
His volleying skills have improved immensely. However, his weak serve has always let him down and a number of injuries have set him back as well. With a more decent serve and body, he would have at least won the U.S. Open, where he tends to do well.
honestly, his body is saying ,can't take it
anymore.Let's retire.
I can't imagine seeing him play again.
Its time to go.
