    Nishikori has always been such a pure striker of the ball, from the back of the court.
    It’s just the lack of power and pace on his serve that lets him down

    • @jmzbondm
      @jmzbondm 2 года назад +23

      Yup, it's been the serve that lets him down against a lot of top players. From the back of the court he can actually hang with the very best in the world.
      I also think in the biggest matches of his career, he often looked too nervous to play his best tennis. And of course, his injuries didn't help either.

      100% would've made more slam finals, maybe even won a slam or two, if he had a better serve (not really his fault though he's limited because of his height)

      His volleying skills have improved immensely. However, his weak serve has always let him down and a number of injuries have set him back as well. With a more decent serve and body, he would have at least won the U.S. Open, where he tends to do well.
