It’s been a little bit but just want to be another voice of appreciation for you, your videos, and positivity. I’m recovering from a crash too (that I also can’t remember) and hope someday I’ll be normal again. I’m optimistic, though know that more surgery is in my future. Having a good outlook is difficult, and you’re a terrific example. Thank you. Sending good vibes from Seattle. CJ
What a wonderful mindset! Thank you for making this video. I'm an RN, and always looking for inspirational videos to share with my patients. I'll be sharing your story 💙
You're a legend Nick. Your videos were a key factor that inspired me to get into paragliding and you still inspire me with your positivity! All the best mate.
Congrats on making it this far buddy! Sorry to learn of your accident. Mine was two years ago here in Utah! Thank God my shattered feet healed up mostly! Feeling back in your legs is super promising. Keep faith bro. Don’t give up on the fact that Christ heals mate!
hey Nick, great you've getting feeling back of your legs, you're many pilot's inspiration, we all love the way you talk when you're flying, keep the positive spirit.
Keep up the progress , spinal injury is very humbling. God bless ! i'm training trike paramotor . I can see you being there in a year in a half. Come back and fly with us.
Tough subject to listen to as it's probably one of the worst fears for most paraglider pilots, you certainly have that mental strength to stay positive and I'm sure I'm not alone is saying that I'm wishing you good vibes and full recovery, in the meantime stay strong stay positive and keep that progression going, I'll look forward to watching your progression and recovery.
I'm really impressed by your spirits and optimism! I has my accident 1year 4 months ago, got into a dust devil, wing collapsed, I fell from ca. 10m, broke S2, T10, pelvis, shattered by left leg. I remember the collapse, looking at the wing at thinking- Shit... Now, more than a year after the accident I still have more down days than good days. I learned to walk after 6 months in hospital first not being to move my legs, then getting into wheelchair, then gradually getting control over muscles... Some things haven't returned like bodily functions you were mentioning about and I still don't have sensitivity in some parts. But you are doing so great just 2 months after the accident! I wish you to recover as much as possible and keep it up!
Wish you a full recovery. I’m inspired by your positivity even through what is a pretty horrible situation. Thank you for making these videos. I really appreciate it.
Good to see you in positive spirits! All the best for your recovery. Would be great to see you fly those modified sailplanes where they moved the rudder control to the side panel.
Breaks my heart a little bit listening to you but I still hear positivity and hope and strength in your voice so I'm right there with you. As a beginner pilot I got a tiny accident last winter that gave me a kind of wake-up call (just broken a leg) and didn't realize how much could be taken away how quickly... I really hope the best for you and definitely also flying again! I have a friend who broke his back flying at 17yo and he's 45 and never stopped flying...
I remember in an interview with Joe Rogan David Goggins told he accept new challenges and fresh start life throw to him. He told:: if one day I cannot run anymore I will try to enjoy and do my best with something else... Great spirit. With your spirit and energy you will be always floating, no matter what you'll do. Keep training, we hope the feeling to your legs come back, but I'd like also to hear you as sport reporter or narrator... Most of us followed your videos because the way you tell your stories, we felt your energy and spirit! Keep being you!
So good to hear an update Nick! You are so amazingly positive in the light of everything! You are an inspiration to all of us. The Paragliding community of British Columbia is pulling for you!
Keep the positive thoughts nick. My mate who broke his back 5 years ago just bought a new glider so he has come leaps and bounds. These things certainly take time until you are ready. All the best. Cheers 🍻
Hey mate great to hear you're getting more of the feeling back. Hope that trajectory continues. So inspiring to always see you so positive and smiling through adversity.
Nick, you are tough as nails. Thank you for sharing the updates along the way. This is a new chapter in the adventure for you and I know you will capitalize on every front. I have been following your adventures for the last 5 years and really love your humility and drive. I am a praying man and will pray that God give you favor and healing. I want to let you know that there is a local pilot here in America named Joe Stone. He has some great resources since he has about 10 years or so of adaptive recovery. I met him at Torrey Pines Gliderport here in San Diego. He was the dude free flying a paraglider with a trike. He has hundreds of flights. He is also a motivational speaker and very encouraging. Lately he has been doing the van life and has become quite the photographer. He also mountain bikes with a 3 wheel off road bike. His adventures are looking pretty fun these days. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you are a inspiration to me and many others. Please keep sharing your process. Talk to you soon.
Nice work Nick. I’ve been following your vid’s for a while and found them really inspiring to get out there and get flying. All the best with your recovery 👍
Wow, very inspiring stuff. Whatever happens in the next chapter of your life I am sure it will be equally or more impressive than the previous chapter. Keep on pushing !
Hi Nick, it hardly seems any time ago that you and I were flying together in the Duo Discus at Keepit. There’s no reason that can’t happen again, as soon as you are ready. Maybe a bit tougher than the transition to a toilet seat, but I believe that the club is also investing in equipment to assist those who need help getting in and out of the glider. I am inspired by your positivity, mate.
I wish you all the best to get back on your legs. I am really very sad, to hear about your accident. About your AUS and NZ measurements due to covid stuff, you have worsen you situation o your new location. To me it seems you are totally under educated about the covid fashism stuff was haven been going on for now two years. All your vaccinations - probably your 4th before x-pyr - are not for your wealth, but against.

Awesome man sounds great, the club I flew with in France already has paraplegic pilots and gliders
