Adding to the lawn mowing concept...take kids on a drive in a really nice neighborhood,l and make observations on the landscaping and appearance, then drive through a nice part of town, and the scudsy part of town. Have a discussion about how the presentation of the outside of a building says that there is a strong sense of care, responsibility, and stewardship about the people inside. It also presents an appreciation of the people who look at your building, and how they enjoy seeing something good, well-done, and beautiful. Like a good piece of art.
A rough looking building and landscaping communicates that something is wrong.
Sharing this information makes them aware of a goal that is beyond their parents, and they can make it their own way of interacting with their surroundings and community.

“It was an unfair thing to creat a culture for them to grow up in where being different or being exceptional is the only thing that’s celebrated
And that’s rooted in over affirmation, in our comparison culture”
    This was so helpful ❤️
