A mortal man cannot understand these things,I think you went to school to learn so if you're not in church or bible study you cannot understand how God manifested to men...holy spirit
There are two explanations. The first is that the Holy Spirit inspired Mark and the other Gospel writers with the knowledge of what transpired in the Garden of Gethsemane, even though they were not present (or, in John’s case, were snoozing). This, of course, is exactly what the Lord promised would take place (Jn 14:26). The second explanation is that, after his Resurrection, during the 40 days he spent conversing with and teaching his apostles and other followers, Jesus recounted to them many of his otherwise unknowable conversations and actions, some of which were later recorded in the Bible, some of which weren’t. Remember, as John 20:30-31 and 21:25 point out, there were many things which Jesus said and did which are not recounted in the Bible.
The first book to be written in the New Testament was written more than 10 years after the ascension of Christ. The LORD had already told them that when the Spirit of TRUTh comes, "He shall teach you all things. And remind you of all things I commanded you." It is very good that this man mentions that he went to theological schools, this was exactly Saul's confidence when he killed the disciples. He met Gamaliel while the disciples met the Holy Spirit who began to tell them all things! It is Apostle Paul who finally confirmed that "all scripture is given by the inspiration of GOD." (not theology or lecturers) Men who have met GOD can be taken to places they have never been to physically, and be allowed to see things and know them. Just like Apostle John spoke of certain mysteries to come. And some which happened before. It is the same Spirit who made the Apostles know the things which happened during Jesus's alone moments. Those who have come to understand know that even Moses saw what GOD spoke in His Heart and wrote it: Genesis 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Its very suprising that we need to be answering questions which should be asked from the faith owner, God! Where are we expected to find these answers? why should we be comfortable with these questions, also coming from scholars like Maponga! The door to Christ is still open by the way. Also to note that these questions arent coming for the first time, they have foot prints even while Jesus was still on earth in flesh and blood, at times he would respond to such questions in the very same way the were asked because wisdom dictates that once you find the intention of a question then you can completely respond to that question otherwise your response will attract more and more questions andend up wasting time.
Good question you asked though Key take points: 1 when He went out to pray alone… the word alone is important that means no one was with Him to record prayers 😅😅 kanti which English did you do eskolweni ?
I will never believe in a man that never married kana kupomerwa mwana chaiko to look after or bless my marriage. Let alone my wealth iye aasina kana kitsi zvayo!!
Apostle John was very close to Jesus Christ, he was one the three apostles whom Jesus shared special experiences with. Talking about special experiences, we mention during the transfiguration in the Mount of olives, during many instances where Jesus performed miracles, one of them where he awoke the daughter of Jairus from death (Mark5:21-29). Even at the crucifixion, it's only John who did not flee, he went with Him until at the last point of the departure of his soul, we notice that by that at the end Jesus says 'son, behold the mother, and mother behold the son.' (John19:26), that was John. This means that, Jesus was always close to Jesus, even at the garden of Gethsemane, it could be him who got very close to Jesus Christ and heard him pray 'Father, pass this cup. Let it not happen by my will, but by your will."
understanding is key in anything and everything in life, without it, one can make a fool of himself. The very same one can ask about the stories they had about their ancestors, where they were also alone somewhere in the mountain with no one else but them, and everyone including his family ended up knowing what happened when he was in the mountain alone than you will get your answer of your question this is why there's never a foolish question but one can make themselves a fool not to say they're a fool but lack understanding which makes them to be like one. This is why change of thinking is paramount if one is in search of knowledge.
Jesus may have shared His prayers with His disciples afterward. As a teacher, He often explained His actions to them to deepen their understanding of faith.
During the time of Jesus, the region of Judea was heavily influenced by Greek culture, following the conquests of Alexander the Great (4th century BCE). Many Jews adopted Greek names alongside their Hebrew names, reflecting the widespread cultural integration. Examples: Simon Peter's original name was the Hebrew "Shimon," but he was also called "Petros" (Greek for "rock").
13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. 14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. - John 8:13-14 Maponga, my brother, there is nothing new under the sun. The question you asked, was already asked long before you were even born. Jesus dealt with it decisively then, and that same answer stands to the present day and forevermore. Clearly the spirit of the Pharisee is alive and well in you.
Since you nor I were there, we can only guess. My guess is that he told his disciples his prayer since they were nearby, either before or after his prayer. I sometimes tell my wife that I am going to go into my room to pray for AA who is doing BB to C and that some intervention is needed. The problem is us humans always turn to our own understanding instead of trusting the Lord. God doesn't do things in your way of understanding, as heavenly things are not the same as earthly things. Tap into your spirit man and he will give you wisdom.
As a pastor who studied theology, I am sure you know that Moses wasn’t born yet when God created the garden of Eden yet he managed to write about it. 1. Oral history from generation to another 2. Inspirited by God Wouldn’t that apply to Jesus’s disciples especially that they walked with “God”?
@xolanikhumalo9267 Get understanding of the bible so you can see the difference. A Christian can be a theologian but a theologian is not always a Christian hence his utterance is not biblically sound. It's only those who work by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit ( which mere theologians dont have) who are able to understand the depths of the word of God.
So the holy spirit was always around, then why Jesus talking of coming of holy spirit?? Confusion in the bible.you will here the spirit was different from the other one😂😂😂😂
@@JeffreyMutombeni yes he was always around that's why we say our God is three in one the Trinity the holy spirit, God the father and God the son when Jesus was about to go heaven that's when he talked about leaving the holy spirit with us to be our leader to direct us and tell us of all things to come ✝️ the holy spirit was always there even in the old testament
Sounds like a good argument prima facie. To suggest that the 66 books are incomplete is to error and accuse God of being unfair. Psalm 119:11(KJV) “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” How can this verse be true if we have incomplete data?
Have you considered why the Catholic Bible has 73 books while the Ethiopian one has 81 books? Have you considered how/why the Protestant Bible with 66 is considered by many to be better than those other two?
The Gospels of the New Testament do not specify anyone directly recording Jesus' prayers while He was alone on the mountain. However, the accounts of His prayers, such as those in Matthew 14:23, Mark 6:46, and Luke 6:12, were likely passed down through oral tradition or revealed by Jesus Himself to His disciples later. For instance, Jesus may have shared what He prayed or what happened during those moments with His followers afterward. The Gospel writers, inspired by the Holy Spirit, compiled these accounts based on Jesus' teachings, the apostles' testimonies, and early Christian traditions.
There's a source that says the book of Matthew was written 30-40 after Christ's crucifixion. Makes me wonder how the stories in the synoptic gospels were so articulate and accurate if they were written from memory? Then again maybe they had multiple manuscripts that they kept and simply compiled them when the time was right.
Not even wish to God to open his eyes, but he had so many question about the word of God,He is asking himself about the revelations happened ,you can not ask about what God revealed to his people or prophets of that time
At start. Many of us (still) believe even when we have questions. Our need to have answers doesn’t supersede our conviction. To answer Maponga. None of the Gospel writers were present to write when Jesus was born and commenced His ministry. None. The fact that, except for John, the Synoptics were written within a close period of time, tells that, there was much reliance on the orality of writing. This thought is sustained by how John epilogues his Gospel writing when he asserts ““And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.” John 21:25 NKJV These were either scholars and scribes, it’s not unreasonable to suggest that Jesus would have been the Source of the content. Further supporting evidence is after Jesus had finished His intercessory prayer in John 17. The beginning of chapter 28 says, “When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered.” John 18:1 NKJV He was praying, yet John says, He was speaking…. There’s audibility resulting in orality. Point. That we are not told how these writings occurred doesn’t reduce or diminish what we’re convicted of. Scholars and researchers we are, yet we do so with the loins of our minds girded. 1Peter 1:13 No one could ever explain in absolute terms what truly happens. We choose to believe.
We don't know everything,we believe everything, the problem is that we feel ashamed to say that...I believe there is God and Jesus came and died to save the world but I'm not sure about all the scriptures because some contradicts one another
No Josh when God created heaven and each no one waa there or when God took a rib from Adam and created Eve no one was there but we believe that it was done so Man Faith is the substance of hope for an evidence of things not seen by faith we are not selective we believe the whole Bible and we don't have evidence to support our evidence who is Thomas and why do you believe that the waa Thomas
If u can ask him accoding to the same bible who saw 3 men standing with Jesus ? Because Was not Jesus who tell Peter that prayer or 3men who appear when he was praying
As far as the writing of the bible is concerned, I believe trusted souls are chosen by God to print these scriptures. Bear in mind that we have prophets and seers. We can get visions, dreams, and premonitions. If more than two people can receive the identical word of God from the Holy Spirit, how can we question such accurate integrity?
If we are seated, by a fire, as a group, and one of us stands us alone and walks to an isolated place around our camp, and he gets a call, and he is alone and we can hear him and write down what we hear him saying even though we are not right with him. A word to the wise is enough. 🙂

It is Apostle Paul who finally confirmed that "all scripture is given by the inspiration of GOD." (not theology or lecturers)
Men who have met GOD can be taken to places they have never been to physically, and be allowed to see things and know them. Just like Apostle John spoke of certain mysteries to come. And some which happened before. It is the same Spirit who made the Apostles know the things which happened during Jesus's alone moments. Those who have come to understand know that even Moses saw what GOD spoke in His Heart and wrote it:
Genesis 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Would like to have an interaction with you and to answer all your doubts
Matthew 26:36 got the answer for him
Its very suprising that we need to be answering questions which should be asked from the faith owner, God!
Good question you asked though
Key take points:
1 when He went out to pray alone… the word alone is important that means no one was with Him to record prayers 😅😅 kanti which English did you do eskolweni ?
Galatians 1:11-12, Paul said the Holy Spirit had taught me everything I know. No man may claim teaching me. Repent and believe in Christ.
Beautiful!!🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Amen
They say the bible characters are Middle Eastern. Is the name John Middle Eastern?
This one has really gone bonkers. To even think you smarter than your maker is really pushing it to the most demonic low.Job 5:13
Which verse maphunga
who saw the big bang theory..? indeed Christ redeems..
so why other books were pulled off if the book was written GOOD
It was the Spirit of the Lord in them to write that... Read 2 Peter 1v20-21
We have more to fear within than without 😢
My God is underestimated, he also has love for the ignorant souls
understanding is key in anything and everything in life, without it, one can make a fool of himself.
What is Pastor Maponga saying here ? Someone please fill me in 🙏🙏🙏
Moses wrote Genesis l hope you are answered
Jesus may have shared His prayers with His disciples afterward. As a teacher, He often explained His actions to them to deepen their understanding of faith.
During the time of Jesus, the region of Judea was heavily influenced by Greek culture, following the conquests of Alexander the Great (4th century BCE). Many Jews adopted Greek names alongside their Hebrew names, reflecting the widespread cultural integration.
Examples: Simon Peter's original name was the Hebrew "Shimon," but he was also called "Petros" (Greek for "rock").
My belief lead me to seeing the mighty Jesus face to face, hes so powerful, things of the spirit cannot be explained , ill never forget that day.
amanga wow u lying😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂plz guys don't lie
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just out of interest, how did he look like ?
Idiot to the fullest
I don’t think we have a problem with questioning the problem is when we lose faith and belief
A good knowledge in theology will handle all this questions. When a person is poorly prepared,he will end up with questions instead of answers.
- John 8:13-14
Maponga, my brother, there is nothing new under the sun.
All scripture was borne along by holy spirit 📍 The fact that the Bible survived many attempts of annihilation really shows that its God 's word .
As a pastor who studied theology, I am sure you know that Moses wasn’t born yet when God created the garden of Eden yet he managed to write about it.
1. Oral history from generation to another
2. Inspirited by God
Wouldn’t that apply to Jesus’s disciples especially that they walked with “God”?
The Holy Ghost is the one who detailed to the writers what was said in secret. Seeing that the book was inspired by him from start to finish
Who recorded creation accounts,,,
This guy oozes facts...hate or love him!
What fact do you judge God on you little man?
@jasonharlott8860 if you don't want to question somethings just close your big mouth so called big man
@xolanikhumalo9267 Get understanding of the bible so you can see the difference. A Christian can be a theologian but a theologian is not always a Christian hence his utterance is not biblically sound. It's only those who work by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit ( which mere theologians dont have) who are able to understand the depths of the word of God.
If these are facts, can you back it up with concrete evidence. just because you agree with his opinions does not make them facts.
@@Naimah031 facts are beyond biblical indoctrination. The bible goes by faith and belief not factually backed information.
People who wrote the Bible were inspired by the Holy spirit 🎉🎉
The holy spirit ❤ told the disciples 🎉 about the prayers when Jesus Christ was praying
Sir Jesus loves you 🙏🏿 God bless you
So the holy spirit was always around, then why Jesus talking of coming of holy spirit?? Confusion in the bible.you will here the spirit was different from the other one😂😂😂😂
@@JeffreyMutombeni yes he was always around that's why we say our God is three in one the Trinity the holy spirit, God the father and God the son when Jesus was about to go heaven that's when he talked about leaving the holy spirit with us to be our leader to direct us and tell us of all things to come ✝️ the holy spirit was always there even in the old testament
you are avoiding the truth this is a fairytale...a story ..just like movie....
@@JeffreyMutombeni read the bible. It has all those answers
I personal believe that now you have answer to those questions may be try to help us how you understand it, so that we go into the right track.
Spiritual truth lies outside spiritual dead things
Sounds like a good argument prima facie. To suggest that the 66 books are incomplete is to error and accuse God of being unfair.
Psalm 119:11(KJV)
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” How can this verse be true if we have incomplete data?
Have you considered why the Catholic Bible has 73 books while the Ethiopian one has 81 books? Have you considered how/why the Protestant Bible with 66 is considered by many to be better than those other two?
I have an answer to that...
The gospel is more spiritual than ever i think I answered right
Interesting question 😊
What if Jesus told them?
After Jesus had ascended he told his disciples to expect the holy spirit
Please read 2 Timothy 3:16 and Proverbs 1:7 too
The Gospels of the New Testament do not specify anyone directly recording Jesus' prayers while He was alone on the mountain.
How did this guy slip through the cracks to become Bishop?
Amen.” John 21:25 NKJV
These were either scholars and scribes, it’s not unreasonable to suggest that Jesus would have been the Source of the content.
Further supporting evidence is after Jesus had finished His intercessory prayer in John 17. The beginning of chapter 28 says, “When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered.” John 18:1 NKJV
He was praying, yet John says, He was speaking…. There’s audibility resulting in orality.
Point. That we are not told how these writings occurred doesn’t reduce or diminish what we’re convicted of. Scholars and researchers we are, yet we do so with the loins of our minds girded. 1Peter 1:13
No one could ever explain in absolute terms what truly happens.
You make sense bro
If u can ask him accoding to the same bible who saw 3 men standing with Jesus ? Because Was not Jesus who tell Peter that prayer or 3men who appear when he was praying
There is power that affects the readers of the Bible.
The Holy Spirit was a witness when Jesus was praying alone in Gethsemane or Mt. OLIVES.
If we are seated, by a fire, as a group, and one of us stands us alone and walks to an isolated place around our camp, and he gets a call, and he is alone and we can hear him and write down what we hear him saying even though we are not right with him. A word to the wise is enough. 🙂
If Jesus is God, to whom was he praying to? Should we say God was praying to another God?
Disappointment is when you try to be a pastor in flesh and God is a spirit.
Ok Thomas
Faith is a substance of things that are seen physically
My guess the spirit revealed to the author!!
