Today, we are going to be talking about the next 5 star dps coming into zenless zone zero and that is going to be Zhu Yuan who will be our ether dps unit coming after ellen in the second half of version 1.0 of ZZZ. She is going to be an absolutely amazing unit with what she offers, but there are some problems she may face as she releases. We are going to be talking about Zhu Yuan and also about the characters that surround her such as ellen and even characters like Jane Doe and also Qingyi!

Been playing with C1 Nicole since day one. I’m calling it now, yes Soukaku is probably the best Supp right now but, Nicole will be that one 4* that is always relevant.

Defense shred is always broken in these types of games. I think she'll be super relevant until she's powercrept.
Yes but ellen needs lycoan if you want to slot in nicole for that core passive, but if you dont mind not having a stun you can always run double support you just need a good amount of ER on soukaku for that flag slap
@@reedsad4652 I'm running double support and although I def can see how it's less optimized, I don't think it's THAT much less optimized. Getting double damage bonus can be felt and with the buffs up for a while, Ellen can put some hurt on fools. Lucy+Soukaku.
The only thing I disagree with in this video is the team section. I think that she has the most free to play teams in the entire game because all the characters that work really well in her team are given to you for free.
I think it’s both. Great for f2p players because her best teammates are free, but it also means that her full potential is currently obscured and that she’ll only get stronger as time goes on. The downside is just that a lot of her potential is theoretical and up to the whims of Hoyo, but she’s strong enough for now to ignore that, and unless this turns into HI3, that’ll continue to be the case for a long time.

That's my plan. Zhu Yuan because her playstyle is my style (the gyatt is just the cake on top), and my Ice DPS would be Miyabi.

Qingyi will unlock ZY’s power if she ends up being anything like Lycaon. In fact the premium team of ZY/Qingyi/Rina could be pretty broken.
Also I just don’t see how Ellen’s premium team stops being relevant for a long time. Considering their damage ceiling at this current time. If this team gets power crept by the game’s damage requirements then we’ll have bigger problems

only one that's going to be powercrept is Ellen. Miyabi is at fault for that. She's an Ice character, and just basing it on the cinematics alone, you already know she's going to be an Attack unit
@@kentkai9507Miyabi being ice is only in CBT1, and they changed a lot of things since then (Soukaku wind, Nicole physical), so saying she is ice is not entirely true, especially in cutscenes she only creates blue flashes with her sword. Also, in CBT1 she wasn't classified as an attacker, she was classified as a slasher which could be stun or attacker role, we can't be certain about that.

zhu yuan the only character that i grinded the whole game for her 😊 dont care about 1.1 but im gonna make a full police team and main dps is zhu yuan

i advise a hoyverse player, save up much of your gatcha resources you have and use the date between start and end to round up many as possbile from dailies or events and use the market to buy extra resource to double but dont spend too much your money.
I did another 10 pull after getting Ellen and got Ben 😂 the gacha gods are telling me to wait. I still want to c6 soukaku or Anton though so I'll probably use a few more 10 pulls 🤷 worst case scenario I get another Ellen
I’m gonna start pre farming materials for her & Nicole now, saving up as much as I can now 🤞🏼
@@TokyoLeee prefarming isn't quite worth it before level 40. If you wait until level 40 you'll spend like 10% less stamina due to the better drop rates

@@PythonDelta it's best to just farm for whatever your team needs to get to the pre level 40 max. Go for drive discs seeing as you can get golds at 35 and the increased rate on those doesn't happen until 45 which barely anyone has even reached yet. Just go for a few golds because if you get one with an attack stat it would automatically be better than anything else you can get. Farm for main stats now at 35 and wait till 45 to farm for good substats. It's mostly the PRE farming for character mats that's better at 40, so feel free to farm for anything that you need currently. I'm already 37 and I haven't even farmed for disks yet. Waiting until 40 to prefarm character mats will save you literal days worth of stamina per character.
I was going for Zhu no matter what her and miyabi is why I started the game and tbh Zhu is just more f2p friendly and also has can have more future potential just from that core skill needing to activated by any support and tbh I hope I can get c6 Nicole or Atleast c4 would be solid since I have c2 rn with the vault engine and tbh with 1.1 even tho qingyi is a leaked as and electric stunner I’m probably skipping and keeping anby while Jane doe I’m kinda interesting in if she is assault anomaly like the leaks and that her core skill can be activated by any anomaly character but that’s only is leaks are true

Really like that her second core passive requiring a support unit because it makes her flexible with her teammates options. You can even steal Ellen's pairing, Lycoan and Soukaku, and it would still work fine.
Got Ellen week after the grind for all the 180+ pulls and already have for 50/50 on Zhu Yuan's banner. Honestly tho, no matter how outclassed she might get by new characters, waiting for another Ether character will be painful, so i don't see the reason not to pull for her cuz she's pretty dope
for some reason, this give me some welt imaginary type back in the early hsr haha
Having 3 of the same elemental type is pretty overrated. QingYi and Jane are both her faction and would work pretty well as a premier stunner or sub dps.
What? You lose 50/50 for Ellen before you get back 50/50? How many pull exclusive banner get

If you passed lv 40 already, as f2p can we still get 1600 polychromes in a week just to try to summon her? 😅
Jane Doe is part of the Pub Sec faction I'm pretty sure as she was grouped in with them in the trailer for ZZZ. Also from videos of her I've seen of her gameplay you can find on youtube here, she is a 5 star physical anomaly character and she has a frenzy state that buffs her. Her moves are very fast and looks super fun and satisfying. I'm def saving for her because physical is underrated and you can maybe do a funky team with that weird anomaly that does more daze (when u apply 2 diff types of anomalies).
Physical is underrated? The second team that people are using is either Electric comp or some variant of piper team since assault and disorder is really good.

Zhu Yuan, Anby and Nicole would be op just because a lot of bosses are weak to electric/ether dmg. Not to mention with Qingyi coming to, you have a lot to play with. However, the fact Zhu yuan just needs a support to synergize with, she can also work with Lycaon and Soukaku.
Billy is my favorite character to play but his DPS is just low so Zhu Yuan with similar fighting style looks cool.
That little bit you get to use her in the story was enough to convince me to pull. She's a monster even without a team built to compliment her.
I'm not super great at picking teams but man Nicole ex-special followed up by Anby's assist gets me chaining attacks constantly when fighting basic enemies, definitely pulling for Zhu Yuan because I've been focusing on those two already.
Zhu Yuan is really fun to play as as shes very fast with her gun and close range combat. Nicole will be very happy with her in her team.

Great content here! Just a humble suggestion to maybe change up the script a bit since you said 'at the current moment' a whole lot that it got kind of distracting.
We know Jane will be part of NEPS. It was shown during the livestream as well as the launch trailer.
I'm going to pull up to 50/50 on zhu yuan, if I get her I'll be happy - if I don't I'll have guaranteed for next s rank that I want
I just pull for the character and weapon. I dont max out the mindscape media. Just want the options and diversity later down the road.
I summoned Ellen and am going for Zhu Yuan for sure.
I got Grace on the beginner banner and is now C1 since i pulled a dupe of her when i lost the 50% on the Ellen banner. So mechanically i should be fine with Zhu Yuan's move set and i've recently pulled a S ranked ether bangboo so yeah i think the gacha gods are telling me to pull on Zhu Yuan banner.
I lost my 50/50 for Ellen, so I'm running Zhu Yuan, not a huge derail thought because I got Nekomata so I built Anby and Nicole, I already have a team ready for her.
Probably pulling for Zhu and then waiting for more Calydon characters.

Pulled for Ellen. Got M1 Lycaon and M6 Soukaku, so I'm quite happy. Waiting for Jane Doe for my Nekomata now.
I don't think Jane Doe might be a good idea for Nekomata team but i respect that.

Think I used all my luck on the Ellen banner so I doubt I’ll be able to get Zhu Yuan, I somehow managed to get C1 Ellen within 50 pulls so I’m expecting to lose the 50/50 on Zhu’s banner now lol
After playing my whole early game to Interknot 36 with Nekomata and Soldier 11, Ellen just feels so clunky to use in the story missions.
Maybe I lack practice with her but Zhuyuan feels way more straight forward.

But you won’t need to have the robo girl if you already using Nicole with her as you only need 1 character to Proc the passives. You don’t get extra bonus if you have two fulling the passives
But anby is great to have no? Since she is a stunner and more importanly same faction as Nicole. Its better 2 smiley faces than none
@@pi3kun with amby you’d have three thou as the smileys mean how many of your team are activating their passives . Zhus activates thanks to Nicole and Nicole’s due to Zhu. But amby would also activate due to Nicole . My team of Lucy piper and Neko always has three smileys as piper activates Nekos while Lucy and piper activate each other
Genuine question: I usually would wait for a good support or stunner rather than a DPS to have longer longevity, but do you think this is not the best approach given this game Team structures?
I am lvl 42 at and I am already at shiyu 13 A(cant clear S since my units needs more DD farm). All I can say is that you dont really need a stuner, But you need to work on rotations for example I run my ellen team with soukaku+nicole. I need to rotate more on soukaku for that flag slap just to apply more daze to the enemy. You just have to be more on sweaty plays since you have no stun character and my anby is on my electro team with anton and grace, No lycoan yet
Don't mention pulling the new agent, I currently do not have enough resources to build up two teams to finish Shiyu defense. So far with a lvl 50 Dps and two W engines, i can only go as far as floor 9 s rank. All my agents'disc are half-built. So skip for me.

If I have Ellen, do you recommend pulling to get her Weapon banner, or should I just pull for Zhu Yuen when she comes out instead?
If you are a f2p never go for weapon banner, if you're a whale/spender then Ellen's weapon might be really nice for Miyabi

How would someone f2p and casual go about pulling characters but also still keep the value and power of these limited 5 stars compared to my 4 stars?
Is it better for me to get one zhu yuan and try for her signature weapon? Or maybe try to get one dupe of zhu yuan? I ask this because of how much power difference characters and equipment the day one launch compared to later on as content updates comes, although i don’t plan on following the meta i kinda feel like there’s no point pulling for limited units/weapons when i can only realistically get one and never unlock their cinemascapes or increase the weapon passives
Generally speaking this game is much like HSR where a characters signature weapon is MUCH better compared to other 4 star weapons (w engines). Going for Zhu Yuan and her W engine is a great decision. Zhu Yuan is already going to be a great unit for a long ass time because the only way for her to get powercrept is for another ether 5 star dps to come out. And in this game matching elements is really beneficial, fighting an enemy that's resistant to ether makes you deal like 20ish percent less damage to it. So, to push a new 5 star ether dps units banner, they'll probably make the shiyu defense cater to ether. And if you have Zhu Yuan, you'll be perfectly fine. Plus, Nicole (her best support) is on the banner as well. If you get dupes of Nicole you'll be set, because Nicole is slept on with all the soukaku hype surrounding Ellen teams. Regarding Zhu Yuans dupes, I'm personally going for her e2. Her e1 and e2 are really good for her, especially her e1. Her e2 is also a really big powerspike but that's up to you to determine if it's worth.
Tldr : Get her and her weapon, and if you have the pulls go for her dupes. Having a signature weapon and some dupes helps out a characters longevity immensely, and will allow you to skip other future units on the basis of power alone. Cause I'll tell you, having a bunch of e0s0 5 star dps units feels like dogshit, maybe that's just from my dolphin perspective but still, I'd rather have a few strong, invested e1s1 characters rather than a bunch of e0s0 units that basically all feel the same power-wise.

Appreciate your content! A small advice, please shorten the video because many informations you gave is not needed, like Zhu Yuan video but the first 4 minutes of the video is all about Ellen... It's good to make comparison but 3-4 minutes for that is too long
bro if only they put anby in her banner instead of ban it would have been perfect oh and she is easy skip for me ether seems like more of a support element than dps also her playstyle is just not my type i love playing intense melee feel the combat rush no i know she will be good for some people but not for me good luck on Zhu yuan pull.

Well if you are talkin about Zhuyuans core passive alone its great but how about your supports core passive? For example you mentioned sukaku, but doesnt she needs her core passive too? Or any other future support right? And nicoles core passive is so busted atm that I doubt any future support that is not on zhuyuans faction or same element will be able to use their core passive. But maybe they will introduce same core passive as zhuyuan that doesnt limit you to elements but thats very far into the future and meta will shift already 😅
Sukakus core passive does not help zhu yuan dps at all and Nicole's passive is good but not busted 3.5 seconds is less than you think

I tried to like her as i need another DPS, played with trial for a few hours but i just dont like her playstyle. Specifically those melee to range playstyle.
Meanwhile I'll be pulling for her cuz I liked her play style. I love that they give you a trial first so you can decide on pulling for them or not

Zhu yuan does a lot of ether dmg and has high agility, but as much as i like her kit, I'd skip her. Her issue for me, again FOR ME is that there's not much ether element characters yet(aside nicole) and she doesn't have any faction to be paired yet.
I feel that having her would only confuse players or brick their account investing resources building a team that doesn't yet to exist compared to the other 5 stars that have a well established teams and factions.
I know, she can be pairedwith nicole and other stunner, but that's not her full potential, and among nicole and her, nicole would be the flexible one for team rotation not zhu yuan, so she's just gonna sit there lvl1 unbuilt.
But if you guys doin it for that gyaat then i wish you get her on your first 10 pull

You know that Qingyi is coming out right after her right? Qingyi is a stunner as well. Her perfect team is done, Nicole is also an extremely powerful support for Zhu as well.
You don't actually need an ether chara, any support is ok so she is really flexible in the future. I lost the 50/50 on Ellen so I would rather take Zhu since I already have a team for her, she is gonna easily carry my second team.
Better to have her and not need her than to need her and not have her. If you aren't pulling her cuz there's no other ether units you're just going to be in the same boat when the NEXT ether units drops.
@@zacziggarot This 100%, but pull her if you want her, she is gonna be super powerful anyway for some time. Rest of the cop faction lmao I'm not gonna have the resources to pull any of them and I don't need to, I have Nicole.
