"i see you on the verge of death" "i see you draw your final breath" "i see you fish-kebabing the god of the sea and bullying him into letting you go home"
KRONOS?! THIS ACTUALLY PUTS POSEIDON'S CHARACTER IN A HOLE NEW LIGHT, SHOWING HOW HIS PHILOSOPHY IN LIFE CAME FROM HIS FATHER WHO WAS RUTHLESS TO HIM AND HOW THAT'S THE MONSTER IN POSIEDON'S LIFE THAT SHAPED HIM TO BE LIKE THIS OH MY GOD AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Yeah. In the mythos Ares and Athena both hate their uncle. Ares hate Poseidon because he did nothing while Ares’s daughter was SA’s by one of Poseidon’s sons near the beach. Ares avenges his daughter, much to the Poseidon’s anger.
this is the first interpretation ive seen that has the 600 strike be something besides sword swings, it's neat! Odysseus getting help from both Ares and Athena is cool it's also neat how Poseidon caught the trident when he decided to comply with Ody's demand to call off the storm, like the power keeping him in place faded when he made the decision to agree. fantastic work! :-]
AHHHHH!!! There is so much I love about this! I haven't seen a 600 Strike animatic that starts with Poseidon's point of view, very original, I like that! Then Athena and Ares helping Odysseus!? Even if he didn't get to reconcile with his mentor, he still felt her presence, and that's beautiful. The way the sword/energy blasts came at Poseidon was so anime I loved it! Now the second half of the song. Part of me that always confuses me in a lot of 600 Strike animatics, is "Why doesn't Poseidon just get up and leave before Odysseus picks up his trident?" I understand it's because he's exhausted and a bit overconfident, but you came up with a great solution. Having him pinned down by Odysseus's Athena empowered strike solves that issue. The way you animated the sorrow in Odysseus's eyes in the last scene. Most animatics I've seen so far show him as this merciless vengeful monster, but here, he looks almost sad, especially when he says "Next to my wife." Odysseus hates what he has become, because that means Poseidon was correct. Lastly, the way the Poseidon's ichor is messy and ends up for lack of a better word, splashing everywhere , makes this scene have the gravitas and grittyness it deserves. And the fact we get a shot of, who I can only assume is Kronos, in place of Odyessus when Poseidon says "monster", is hauntingly beautiful Ody became such a monster he's triggering Poseidons PTSD. What a great animatic!
I love this so much. Odyssues having Athena and Ares allows him to fight Poiseden but not overpower him. But then Zeus, the one true divine, gives his support and even the mighty Poisden is nothing. Then the image of Cronus? The image of Cronus? Oh this was so so wonderful. Especially since Odyssues has the blessing of not just Poisden's niece and nephew. But the god king who took Cronus's place.
what poseidon did is horrible but won't make me hate him... In mythology he's considered a reclusive and marginal God who is often despised by his siblings. He rules the sea and submits to Zeus even though he's initially his older brother. not to mention he's known for numerous repeated defeats against Athena, Zeus and Hera which gives him a reputation of a... kinda loser, and which to me explains why he was so desperate to win this battle against Odysseus to avenge his son and regain his honor. and now that he has been defeated by a mortal, I can't even imagine the contempt he has gained again, surely his temples which were already far from the cities will be out the desert lol. sad for him :") GREAT ANIMATION ANYWAY, AND W FOR ODYSSEUS ✨
@JabamiLain oh I don't justify it, I wasn't clear but I wanted to say that you can't make me hate him for what he did to Odysseus. but if we hate him for that reason we should hate 90% of the characters in Greek mythology (what i do ngl most are detestable for their actions)
I’ve seen some really good ones that reimagine the jet pack in ways that make it more cunning, realistic, and suited to the feel of the story, actually. 😊 I think the livestream visuals were jarring, but the jet pack idea can be executed in a way that makes sense within the world of Epic.
I love this so much, its similar sure, but the story being told in text and the fighting is so awesome, really showed context to the fight between the two and the support Odysseus has between other gods, this is my favorite animatic by far for this song!
Comment for both get in the water & 600 strike (bc I watched them back to back) - I love how fluid you made Poseidon! He really looks like he's made of water! And the wings that Odysseus gets from Athena! That's such a cool take! I thin this was the first animatic I've seen have Poseidon's Ichor be gold, which was cool to see! And the small flashback he gets?!?!?! kfvjkl;nfaeijowe amazing
Love this so much! It feels kinda heart-wrenching and i cant put my finger on why yet (also have a full playlist to show my family now, i was waiting for you 600 strike to show them!)
BROOO, I love how you switched from it being ares and odysseus for a slit second. But every strike was more of ares, taking odysseus's anger and kept striking posiden. And I feel of posiden didn't intervene he would have kept going. Or I could be wrong, other than that this was amazing.
Ares: I don’t care whose blood it is, so long as there’s bloodshed! Athena? Athena: on it bro. Poseidon: TF PPL ZEUS CONTROL YOUR KIDS- Zeus: Nah, let em cook.
I made a big playlist with all my favorite animatics for people getting introduced to epic the musical. I so sorry that I cannot add this to it. The Athena wings are a nice concept, but cannon to epic is that Odysseus defeated Poseidon with the wind bag. I love it, but I can't add it. Sorry. 🙁
I KID YOU NOT, I LITERALLY THOUGHT OF SEEING SOME OF POSEIDON’s Past or like, a parallel between these two Glad to see I ain’t the only one who thought of it
Its sad.... because Posiedon isent truly wrong.... ruthlessness is Mercy upon ourselves.... so we never have to live, watching over our shoulders. But there is also a point where we all just havw to let go.
"i see you on the verge of death"
"i see you draw your final breath"
"i see you fish-kebabing the god of the sea and bullying him into letting you go home"
Odysseus: …What.
Odysseus: Hold on, could you repeat that last one?
The way my jaw DROPPED when Kronos appeared, INSANE
…you’d think he’d remember how that ended for his dad
Well, Kronos was sliced into tiny pieces.
Hurt people hurt people
explain?
3:45 Imagine beating your enemy so bad that he's immediately reminded of his abusive dad.
Athena and Ares: we may disagree on a lot of issues, but we can both agree that Poseidon deserves this.
Yeah. In the mythos Ares and Athena both hate their uncle. Ares hate Poseidon because he did nothing while Ares’s daughter was SA’s by one of Poseidon’s sons near the beach. Ares avenges his daughter, much to the Poseidon’s anger.
Bro had Athena AND Ares backing him up?!
AND I'm pretty sure that's Zeus's bolt that held him down!!!
@@enderdragonslayer154 and i would guess the arrows were apollo
Well, all of them _did_ agree to release him to go home.....
Ares was promised bloodshed
Yesssss! Love the fact that you gave him the support of Athena via the wings, AND Ares via his sword!
3:28 I like Odysseus' eyes stop being red for a moment to show that he truly hates being a monster.
The flashback with Kronos as he got stabbed mercilessly is such a cool detail!!! Good job🎉
Ugh, Poseidon catching the trident right before impact is so clean!
this is the first interpretation ive seen that has the 600 strike be something besides sword swings, it's neat! Odysseus getting help from both Ares and Athena is cool
it's also neat how Poseidon caught the trident when he decided to comply with Ody's demand to call off the storm, like the power keeping him in place faded when he made the decision to agree.
fantastic work! :-]
Poseidon turning away then turning back when he heard a guitar rift at the beginning help😭 and Athena giving Ody wings?!?!?
AHHHHH!!! There is so much I love about this! I haven't seen a 600 Strike animatic that starts with Poseidon's point of view, very original, I like that! Then Athena and Ares helping Odysseus!? What a great animatic!
HOLDUP CAUSE YOU ATEEEE WITH THIS
THE ICHOR, THE KRONOS PARALLEL, THE ATHENA WINGS, EVERYTHING
"Why do I hear boss music? WHY DO I HEAR BOSS MUSIC?!”
I love love love this!! Especially the portrayal of the gods blood being golden, they are divine beings after all.
this might actually be my favorite six hundred strike animatic. at the very least, it's tied with duvetbox's
I always love when six hundred strike animatics include the dead crew mates scene! (also cool animatic!)
I love this so much. Odyssues having Athena and Ares allows him to fight Poiseden but not overpower him. But then Zeus, the one true divine, gives his support and even the mighty Poisden is nothing.

NO WAY, THIS IS GOLD! Athena and Ares helping him omg! 🛐❤❤❤❤
Gold? Like Poseidon's blood?
@@logandamudkip4212 hahah yup
3:47 Probably my favorite shot
I audibly gasped when you included the help of Athena and Ares! This is definitely my favorite 600 strike animatic!
Yes Ares helping out in the fight!!

GREAT ANIMATION ANYWAY, AND W FOR ODYSSEUS ✨
How do you justify the r@p€ngs he commits through out mythology, all almost as numerous as Zeus's ?
@JabamiLain oh I don't justify it, I wasn't clear but I wanted to say that you can't make me hate him for what he did to Odysseus. but if we hate him for that reason we should hate 90% of the characters in Greek mythology (what i do ngl most are detestable for their actions)
I love how pretty much every animatic has rejected the idea of a jet pack 😂
I love the wings they look really cool
I’ve seen some really good ones that reimagine the jet pack in ways that make it more cunning, realistic, and suited to the feel of the story, actually. 😊 I think the livestream visuals were jarring, but the jet pack idea can be executed in a way that makes sense within the world of Epic.

Nice touch with the Kronos flashback
POSEIDON AT THE END OF GET IN THE WATER WALKIN AWAY WHEN SUDDENTLY 600 STRIKES STARTS AND I INSTANRLY THOUGHT: WHY DO I HEAR BOSS MUSIC?
This is perhaps the best version of this song on the platform thus far. Bravo
Wonderful! One of the best fight scenes I have seen so far. I like how you have a Zeus bolt holding Poseidon down.
That Poseidon caught the trident to stop the onslaught!
Comment for both get in the water & 600 strike (bc I watched them back to back) - I love how fluid you made Poseidon! He really looks like he's made of water! And the wings that Odysseus gets from Athena! That's such a cool take!

Yes! I thought I was the only who thought of Poseidon having flashbacks to Kronos in this moment, this animatic so good I loved it❤
Love this so much! It feels kinda heart-wrenching and i cant put my finger on why yet (also have a full playlist to show my family now, i was waiting for you 600 strike to show them!)

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Poseidon's own trauma... His dad (Kronos)
@Mejillustrates cool
@@Mejillustrates Mind if I ask what app you used to make this awesome animatic? 😊
@ I use Clip Studio Paint EX for all of my works
i thought in greek mythology kronos swallows his children when they’re born, how would he have gotten traumatized if he was stuck in kronos?
Its sad.... because Posiedon isent truly wrong.... ruthlessness is Mercy upon ourselves.... so we never have to live, watching over our shoulders. But there is also a point where we all just havw to let go.
Odysseus with wings is way more badass
skjtsonktskfgfgskjj your drawing is so good and this was done so well!!!!
One of the worst song's i have ever heard .
I like the others why did he make this one
@ JayHerrans you need to see this one
