We've reviewed Goanikontes Oasis just outside Swakopmund, Namibia.
A true oasis situated in the midst of the Moon Landscape, Namib Naukluft and Dorob National Parks. As you drive through the arid Moon Landscape, you feel as though you are in another world until the Goanikontes palm trees greet you.
Goanikontes boasts 350 days of sunshine on average, so if you love the heat, head this way! With an on-site restaurant serving marvellous breakfasts & lunches, a pool for swimming, dam for fishing, mini zoo and playpark for the kids, beer garden, bakery, self-catering accommodation and camping (if you prefer sleeping under the stars), you can't go wrong with a day visit or overnight stay here.
This is one of the great places to enjoy nature at it's best and just switch off completely from the outside world - no tv, no wifi, just pure bush bliss!
