      This is one of the themes of Bela Tarr's Turin Horse - There's a scene where a drunk goes to buy liquor from his neighbors, a family that is struggling to survive (all they are able to consume are just liquor and potatoes). During the purchase, the drunk is just spewing nihilistic thoughts in the form of a long-ass monologue about hopelessness and suffering, which the family are experiencing first-hand. The family just sits there and doesn't indulge in the conversation - they just wait for the guy to finish his speech so he can give them his money. The family, who are the main characters, have the least dialogue in the film. Unlike the drunk, they don't have the privilege of talking about philosophy, since they need to worry about not starving. The film conveys that these thoughts are pointless and don't help anyone in need nor the person expressing these thoughts.

    • @cslmtnmt7675
      @cslmtnmt7675 5 лет назад +20

      “A-list” actors are exceptionally successful, their notoriety extends beyond the silver screen, and their name guarantees a box office hit. Some “A-list” actors include: Will Smith, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep, and Johnny Depp. The “A-list” actors are usually made up of male actors as with more high earning positions.
      “B-list” actors are usually television actors or less successful movie stars. Some “B-list” actors include: Nicholas Cage, Katherine Heigl, David Morse, Samantha Morton, and Pierce Brosnan. “B-list” actors usually never headline a film by themselves; this means the supporting actors are usually fairly notable too.
      Shia is somewhere around here between C and B
      A “C-list” actor is a character actor that’s known by face and not by name. They are usually still good actors, but they receive less notoriety than an A or B-list actor.
      “D-list” actors are the lowest on the celebrity hierarchy; they appear on celebrity game shows and reality television.

    Shia is literally still that kid from Even Stevens just wanting everyone to be friends. Hes very emotional perceptive and introspective. Brutally honest. Hes super rare but of course hes imperfect as we all are. I like to watch and support most of the movies hes doing bc theyvare so emotionally intelligent. Man Down was a blessing, I dont even care if it made $1 in the UK. The movie was necessary. American Honey showed us the lives of lost youth and that too was so necessary. I cant wait for Peanut Butter Falcon and Honey Boy. I am sooo excited😍💜 I also loved the short film he did ab the couple on drugs and how it tore them apart as well as his work with Sia. There is something special about Shia LaBeouf - not just as a brilliant talent, but as a person with heart. I am writing a book and every author has that dream that maybe one day it would make that best seller list and made into a move. I would want no one else but Shia to be the lead actor - he has the depth and soul to bring it alive. He is one after my own heart - "original", and not afraid to express his authenticity hoping to make a difference for the better. No other actor comes near him. My only criticism is the swearing - but I am old school. Does not change my deep admiration for Shia - the person. I believe in him.

I’m not a big movie buff but Transformers was the first movie I can clearly remember seeing in theaters so I’ll always have love for this guy. Never really paid attention to his troubles bc I don’t enjoy feeding off ppls misery for entertainment but I could kinda get this gist of what went on. I’m just glad he found his way.
