    Thank you so much for this amazing video! I was knitting a shawl with a bunch of color changes and kept getting annoyed with having to undo and redo so much! I then discovered the Tunisian Knit Stitch and was blown away at how nice it looks and how easy it was. Your video with all these color changes gives me so much confidence! I am so excited to undo my knitting and Tunisian crochet it instead! Funny thing I have actually been working with the exact brand and colors of the original baby blanket you made 😂 Thank you again!

      @@ModeBespokealmost done, doing the border now, then blocking and the lining!

  • @ABJILL033
    @ABJILL033 2 года назад +3

    Why don’t you twist the yarn every 2 to 3 stitches as you would in knitting colour work, that way you won’t have such big floats & less chance of pulling the floats too tight. Other than that I found your tutorial helpful 😀

    I want to make a sweater vest with this pattern how do I make a reduction when I get to the v neckline please

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  Год назад

      Hope this helps! You’ll need to account for the argyle pattern stitch counts, but with a little planning, I know you can make one :)

    If I wanted to make a jumper or socks with this argyle pattern, could it be done in the round? And can that be lined for clothes? Love the tutorials, thank you!

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! It can be worked in the round, but mind the multiples (16, I believe?) so when you close the round, just make sure you have 16 and not 16+1.
      And yes to the liner. Not saying this is the #1 must-try solution, but I tried iron-on interfacing for a sweater, and it’s worked out well so far. I should point out that I’ve been washing it in a cold delicate cycle and line drying.

    thank you so much for this tutorial ! by the way, can i make a vest using this method ?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! You can, but you will need a liner since the argyle leaves long threading in the back side.

  • @lindawitmer4366
    @lindawitmer4366 3 года назад +1

    Wouldn't it be easier to carry the opposite thread?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 года назад

      It definitely would if it were regular crochet, but you can’t really carry yarn with a Tunisian simple stitch. If you find a way to do it, I’d be interested in learning how to do it. 😊

    why not carry yarn in shorter floats?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  2 года назад +1

      Because I am not sure how to do that for Tunisian crochet in a way that doesn’t show through the pattern, or creates an additional loop. I do welcome suggestions, if you have any.
