You guys kill me! You are so funny! And so comfortable with each other. Wait til you have grandkids. It all becomes crystal clear then what your purpose in life is. You will be the most fun grand parents ever! I hope I get to see it.

We had chickens and the hawks were constantly trying to eat them. My husband put chicken wire on the top attached to the fence. That did the job. Good luck.
Stretch fishing line string Zig Zaged over the Coop run area, Hawks wings will get caught in the fishing line and it repels Hawks from flying into the coop run.
Hi Chris! My neighbors have chickens and turkeys and after hawks grabbed several chickens and chicks, we hung aluminum plates as well as tons of CD’s with fishing wire. They were hung at different levels and reflect the light in such a pretty way. Also placed a couple of large plastic owls which seemed to help. Love watching you and Tammy! Oh! In a sunny area of the chicken yard they hung sun shade cloth which keeps hawks from seeing the chickens so easily. Hope this helps!
Anything that blocks the HAWK from swooping down. Robbie and Gary's gardening has all kinds of tips bc Hawks get her birds, rabbits, and chickens. LOVE YALL ❤😊
Chris.. You and Tammy are pure gold! 😂 Loved this vlog! Thanks for the needed laughter!! Pray the coming New Year is full of blessings that become cherished memories! 🙏❤️🙏
Oh, why did the roaster cross the road? He wanted to show off in front of the chicken to prove to her that it could be done! Little chicken joke for yall! Good luck with them birds. Tonya in Dallas❤
Put wire over the top of the chicken run..then the hawks can't get to them.. my grandparents did this.. they had where they nest etc..then they built the chicken run 6 feet high so grandfather didn't have to clean the run bent over. 😂.. doing the chicken wire over the run keeps the chickens safe and doesn't cost millions of dollars..
You both are a cute couple. ❤ Chris, you are so comical. 😅 My family and I act like that when we are together. Lol 😂 I hope you catch some fish 🎣 soon.😊 And I hope those vultures stop killing your chickens. You both have a beautiful place! God bless! 😊😊
Chris and Tammy , you have a beautiful home ! Chris , you have done a lot of work outside ! Two deserving people ! I haven't seen you two for awhile ! Will be nice to see how beautiful Tammy has the inside ! Sending much Love and prayers from Lake Placid , Fl . Sorry about your roosters ! Laura
Good luck keeping your chickens safe…I wish I had a magic suggestion to help!!! Love your boat shelter…your new home is beautiful…you and Tammy really got several great amenities with this house with the beautiful yard, pool and chicken yard!!! Saved you a lot of money and work for sure!!!
bird nets. you can buy to cover the chicken coop . it is a black wed of maybe two inch squares the eagles her can see here on the west coast . eagle nest about two blocks over and we were in their flight path when they headed over to go fishing .
Merry Christmas Chris & Tammy! Sorry to hear about your chickens. It looks like a pretty large area but figuring out a way to cover the top with a light grade wire would be the best solution.
Forget the string and get a crow decoy, Amazon has them and put it near your chickens. It's worked for me for the past several years. Hawks are extremely afraid of crows:0)
I’m watching this after Christmas so I’ll wish y’all a happy New Year! I love your home and yard. I agree that more azaleas would look beautiful. When they’re planted with several close together it increases the impact of the color. I’m thinking in my experience as a chicken farmer that the only way to ensure your flock is safe would be to close the top of the pen with some type of wire or metal that allows light through, such as chicken wire. I’ve had a hawk literally land at my husband’s feet to capture prey. It was a baby rabbit neither of us noticed. Scared me to death to look up and see that huge bird sail right towards my husband. Landed right at his feet, grabbed that rabbit and off he launched. Your place looks amazing. So nice for retirement. I enjoy watching your channel and hope you and Tammy continue. Best wishes for good health in the new year.
Get some black plastic netting they put over trees to keep the birds out and use it to keep the flying predators out of the chicken coop. Get it at Lowes or Tractor Supply.
RUclips people Simple Living Alaska have had trouble with hawks and they put up some netting in the tree canopy. Could you attach netting to the top of the chicken house roof and the trees or fence?
Shopping on Christmas Eve is a big sign that you have actually lost your minds! Hahahaha All joking aside... We wish you a Very Merry Christmas to you both and your girls. Love you all.
You can get a rooster, or put up a fake owl, or just simply use coop with top and not allow free range or they have a netting that you can put on top, tractor supply usually has it!
Raise some crows. I feed crows, turkeys, squirrels, deer and other birds... a hawk landed on a shepherds hook and was scoping out the bush that the small birds hang out in. I went out twice and chased the hawk off. Well, I "quite often" talk to the biggest crow. By the way his name is Mr Crow. I know TMI. He was watching me chase off the hawk. I was outside the next morning feeding everyone. I heard a lot of birds squawking. I looked up and 3 crows were escorting that hawk out of the neighborhood. Never seen the hawk again.
I saw your treat to your chickens. I just hope the hawk is passing through. We had two with a nest in our yard in St. Marys. Merry Christmas to you too.
Y’all should build a chicken tractor. Nothing can get your chickens in that. You can build it as plain or fancy as you want. I would build it pretty plain so it would be lighter and easier to roll around the yard, chickens don’t care about fancy.
How about stretching chicken wire across the top of the fence, You may have to have that done , or maybe you could stretch it across the ground tie it together and the maybe you have a friend who would help you put it across the top. What do think of this Idea?
Hey, I would love to see a good police chase on Christmas Eve! Get it Chris! Cock of the Walk Chris! Where were you when that hawk got Tammy’s favorite chicken?! lol Could y’all possibly string up some type of string across the area where y’all put those pans? Maybe the hawk will fly down and get his wings hung up in netting. Those people that work at tractor supply I bet could offer some advice. I watch homesteading channels and they get great advice from those folks that work there. Merry Christmas Tammy and Chris! God bless y’all!
You did show the carport. (Maybe Tammy did) The last I remember hearing you were going to have to move it over a couple of feet because of a property line/setback issue. Did you have to move it, or did the township wave it for you?
You guys kill me! You are so funny! And so comfortable with each other. Wait til you have grandkids. It all becomes crystal clear then what your purpose in life is. You will be the most fun grand parents ever! I hope I get to see it.
You have done a lot of work on your property. Wow. Looks good Chris! 👍
You two just make the cutest couple. Truly a match made in God’s plan.
Very pretty home!😊
Glad to see that truck and boat all protected and the property is looking nicely cared for! Be proud of yourself!

I really like tractor supply too. Every part of it. I think you were talking about Tractor supply.
Stretch fishing line string Zig Zaged over the Coop run area, Hawks wings will get caught in the fishing line and it repels Hawks from flying into the coop run.

Merry Christmas Chris & Tammy! Sorry to hear about your chickens. It looks like a pretty large area but figuring out a way to cover the top with a light grade wire would be the best solution.
We helped my dad put chicken wire across the top of chicken coup because he didn’t want no critters gettin his babies. Lol
😂. Great job on trimming everything up!!! Hope you & Tammy had a great Christmas!!❤

You two are amazing I enjoy greatly both of your videos have a merry Christmas and
Bird netting works wonders over top and sides of coop plus hardware cloth (wire) all around the coops.
Merry Christmas from St. Louis ❤️🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Well done Chris. Hope to see you next time you are in the area!
I hope so too!
I heard on one of those homesteading channels , they have at least one goose to help protect those chickens.
Merry Christmas to the both of you and a prosperous New Year.
Chris, get a plastic Great Horned Owl decoy to stick on top of the chicken coop! Hawk should move along…Good luck 🍀 Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🎄
And scare the chickens
Very nice yard, beautiful
Merry Christmas Nichols family! Good video Chris. I like the tour of the grounds and all the hard work you put into it. 😊

Get it at Lowes or Tractor Supply.
Merry Christmas to y'all and your family. Use a list and it will make the shopping easier.
It all looks beautiful! Merry Christmas to you and your family! I love you guys❤✝️🙌🙏🎄🎁🎅
Chris you are an inspiration, getting that yard work done will provide more time to fish!! Or film Tammy!!
YALL ARE ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE ❤😊 I LOVE IT. AWE lost a chicken
I went to Walmart on the 23rd and you would've thought from the amount of people there that it was Christmas Day right before a hurricane.
Chicken lot, chicken run whatever you prefer to call it with a top over it made of chicken wire. Nothing gets out and nothing gets in.
Except snakes.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Merry Christmas to you all and your Family!!! God Bless!!!
Chris, can you put up a netting to prevent the hawks from getting to your chickens?
We have so many leaves and branches that fall it would mess it up
Merry Christmas to your family
Tractor Supply...you were talking about TSC
Tammy, on the picture showing the video, that’s a bad look you are giving Chris.😳😱😨😂🤣

Can you put a chicken wire top over the chicken yard?
Chris and Tammy , perfect together !
Y'all were made for each other
They make netting for over the top of the chicken pens.
Just found your channel, yay!
Merry Christmas to You and Tammy!!

Merry Christmas to you two. Chris, I really don’t think that’s going to keep a hungry hawk away but I hope I’m wrong.
I saw your treat to your chickens. I just hope the hawk is passing through. We had two with a nest in our yard in St. Marys. Merry Christmas to you too.
You could have gone back to the store for more pans! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Merry Christmas to you and Tammy
I love you two so much! Chris is always saying something funny! Happy new year everyone
My favorite videos are you and Tammy together!! 🎄
Get a net to net your chickens. I have a friend that did that for their chickens and turkeys and it worked.
Lovexwatch the two of you guys together . Love azaleas
A guard goose will protect your flock and let you know when a predator is too close.
Y’all should build a chicken tractor. Nothing can get your chickens in that. You can build it as plain or fancy as you want. I would build it pretty plain so it would be lighter and easier to roll around the yard, chickens don’t care about fancy.
Have a very Merry Christmas Chris, Tammy, May, Amy. GOD bless you all IN JESUS NAME AMEN AND AMEN ❤😊
Merry Christmas you 2
