Finally an amp comparison that gives a good quality “in the room” feel. Well done. Listening with headphones, I felt like I was sat right there. Beautiful amps.
Well done. Magnatone kills it. So much more clarity. It’s always a matter of preferences and taste, but that is a phenomenal amp. And you will pay for that sound. Wow. Thank you!
It’s the speaker making a big difference yet the magnatones always seem very bright to me, still great but different thinner sounding than the deluxe. I always prefer a fuller round sound. Both great. Excellent job!
Great video. I have a 57 (love that amp) but wouldn't mind having one of these Magnatones alongside it for the extra volume whilst keeping that tweed sounding break up.
I've got a Magnatone Panoramic Stereo (2016) that has the lovely Vibrato and Reverb and the 10W Lyric (2014). They are great, lush sounding amps. I like your comparison.
Not owning either one of these I can't comment from personal experience and I don't know if the Deluxe is even loud enough to gig with a quiet drummer but I have to say, when you plug into the Magnatone it's like - man that's a great sound. Then you plug into the Deluxe and I melt. It's the same on every shootout I've seen that involves a Deluxe. That tone! I don't even miss the reverb. I have to get one. I know the word 'loud' is subjective but set on 3 is it pretty loud in the room? It seems like 3 seems to be the sweet spot on Deluxe's before they start getting really gainy. Great playing too.
Both amps sound damn good but I’m partial to low watt Fenders, so ‘57 Tweed Deluxe for me! Would love to hear a Magnatone Super 15 in this comparison too! 🤟🏼🤟🏼
The amps gets pretty loud. I’d say at about 40% volume it starts overdriving and it’s very nice. Amp is great with klon style pedal pushes it perfectly for leads!
If you only going to own 1 Amp then get the Fender Deluxe Tweed. But yo have to have a Magnatone. The rest of the amp world can bow to the amps. I own both.

I have both, and they are both fantastic. And both in stereo, simply divine!

I agree. The magnatone is simplicity and great tone without “pedal help”. As much as I love my pedals I love an amp that’s plug n play awesome.
Agreed 👍🏼
the Magnatone is great.... but the Fender Deluxe is the SOUND I remember in so many songs.
I think the Deluxe on the Sheryl Crow sounded PERFECT.
Bonus points for playing Sheryl Crow in an amp demo. You're one of the good guys
Both sound great. Clarity with the Magnate and warmth with the Fender Deluxe

Killing that shit in some crocs, hell yeah we are definitely friends.

@@MichaelBartlettGuitar it’s very gigable especially with a pa. The volume is enough and the eq of the amp makes it cut perfectly.
Have the tweed. But I'm a Jensen guy. Magnatone very impressive
No trash talking Weber speakers now..
Awesome comparison video well done.

At what point does the twilighter get dirty? Is it crazy loud? Good with a klon style pedal? Thanks

Maybe its the difference between efficiency and power handling.

Need a A/B pedal
I'd go for A/B/Y-pedal, my old A/B pedal has it's limitations.
Props for Sheryl Crow licks.
Tweed
is thhis a. sheryl crow song? if so which one?
Favorite mistake! Always loved the tone and groove of that song especially when I found out she wrote it about her affair with Clapton!
@@Derrick_Rucker thanks man! great playing and great tone. I just bought a 5e3; how loud is it on 3? cheers
@@jfar3340 that’s good gig volume. Enjoy!
Sheryl definitely had some Tom Petty and Mike Campbell vibes going when she wrote that one. Killer playing!
I believe it was Princes guitar player on this track, can’t remember her name but she also came up with the texture to Purple Rain
Both sound great probably the guitar choice would be interesting too great though
