Returning from south africa my family lived in Derby 1971 to early january 1972. I was born in liverpool a supporter too. We lived just behind the baseball ground and went to every Derby C home game. They were awe some beautiful to watch. We returned to Africa. But That was some team Clough and Taylor produced.
Brian Clough & Peter Taylor . LEGENDS . Thanks Fellas . God Bless U BOTH. RIP.
Great memories and just look how we have fallen because of one man, it’s embarrassing for this great football club of ours, let’s hope the rebuilding carries on under David clowes,
Absolutely mate, yet these scumbags can do what they do while claiming to love Derby county and not really face much punishment. We are Derby well bounce back

Wonderful to hear the legendary Hugh Johns
Wonderful to hear the legendary Marc bolan .
That John Robson goal, running from inside his own half against Forest gave me goose bumps. Thanks to Wolves and Arsenal at the end as well.
What a team !!!!!!
Remembered like it was yesterday
Unbelievable days!

Derby County Zeljeznicar 1972
That season Man City had an all-star team that was riding high in the league until their manager Malcolm Allison destroyed the team chemistry by buying Rodney Marsh who was a world-class player but was not suited for their squad at that particular time. It absolutely crushed their momentum, and Derby County with a fantastic combination of Great 'Brian Clough and Peter Taylor's management became champions.
The stupid and short-sighted FA Chief at the time, Harold Thompson, blocked Clough from becoming England's Manager in 1974. He most definitely would have become the most successful manager that England ever had. FA Idiots.
Frankly i don't know if he had got the job 1977 would he have been successful with England, would he have got more out of existing players of the time or played new ones or a radically different formation?
Sam Longson - was responsible for the fall of Derby County...an arrogant big headed Chairman who thought he was bigger than Derby County, he got rid of Clough and Taylor & look what they achieved at Forest ...and the Derby team was much better than Forest....
Pick that ball outta the Leeds net Jack Charlton.
