This Ballade is so underrated and it deserves so much more attention. This Ballade is my second favorite, right behind ballade no 1.
More than no. 4 ?!
JPCUTT 13, yep please don't hate me. It is just too slow in the beginning.
I respect and understand that you don't like No.4 one as much but No.1 is undoubtly the best.
Same! Then it goes 4 then 2!
This ballade isn’t that underrated a lot of people have heard sometime in there life somehow they just don’t know the name
5:24 get ready for the most underrated 20 seconds of music you will ever hear
Im learning this ballade and this section is soooo hard to practice
@Giovanni Garza yeah, he definitely needs that ;-;
@ChefGourmet who cares it's just your opinion
@@HelsyV2 I would also like to learn this, what were the biggest difficulties of the piece and what pieces did play before this one?
The Former Socialist Republican Russiaball Mapping I think that it this piece is underrated but not just that part the whole piece is underrated bc everyone is listening to ballade no.1 which is tied for my favourite with this one and no.4 is very underrated and is close behind but I think most of us don’t like no.2 as much as the others
I love the ending...
Agree.
It is unbelievable that Chopin wrote not just this single piece but several such pieces of supreme musical quality. I cannot find a single fault in this piece. Everything just flows so perfectly and sounds just right. It is so amazing that this piece has continued to give pleasure to so many ears over the past 175 years.
Chopin is just THAT talented. Fills me with envy, the expressiveness of his pieces is so sublime and unchallenged (though Liszt's pieces are more technically complex and experimental, they lack the "near perfect" sound that Chopin's pieces possess). So sad he passed on at such a young age.
he was like 19 when he wrote this too
@@JuanSantos-yq1jn way to take a subjective opinion waaay out of proportion.
I think Liszt's pieces are brilliant, but to me they don't have that "perfect" sound that Chopin has, sound is entirely subjective. If i had said "Liszt pieces are fundamentally imperfect" then your retort would work.
@@JuanSantos-yq1jn I can listen to Liszt all day, it won't change my SUBJECTIVE opinion. Similarly, I can pester my friend to listen to Mozart and read into his technique all day, but if my friend prefers modern music, I can't change his mind.
@@JuanSantos-yq1jn "sound"
4:16 is very similar to heroic polonaise
Only with melody, in polonaise that part starts with F
Listen to 4:21, such a breathtaking part!
its just a trill progression that he used - the left hand differs.
Same musical tone
5:12 is the best passionate climax I’ve heard
Putting the passion to extreme, but sadly that the part is so ahort
Cloudy if it was longer, not many people would think of learning this piece
Carie Kozlov ☺️ I still haven’t learn that piece
Personally i think if that part were longer it would most likely lose its passion and effect
YES
2:45 just breathtaking
And 5:23
Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin omg you're the best composer like oh my god!!!
You're alive. Do you have the heart to tell me why?
4:20
I KNOW! It seems like nobody ever appreciates this part of this underrated piece.
5:12 was Liszt motivated by this
must have been the other way round :p
Chopin was inspired by Liszt at 5:12
but pieces where Liszt did it like La Campanella or Hungarian Rhapsody 2 were composed after this
There is NOTHING special at this octaves jumps. No one was motivated by other about this...
Liszt did play a lot of Chopin's songs...
Justin S. Sounds like Hungarian Rhapsody 2
3:50 same concept as the chromatic section in his first ballad.
in this piece theyre many other chopins pieces hinted
like
Chopin Ballade No.1
Chopin Ballade No.2
Chopin Polonaise Aflat-major
I agree, I thought I was listening to heroic polonaise at the start.
When is Ballade no.1 hinted?
Noobita Noobie 4:03 to 4:34 sounds like part of the middle section of the 1st ballade
I've watched this well over a hundred times... hard to express how much I appreciate you making this piece more visual for us. This is a really special video.
I cant figure out how chopin composed these melodies, how he was so poetic. Trying to compose like him is hard, like most the great composers and romantic era composers as well.
I mean compose like yourself,You don't have to be the next Chopin just compose something like you and be proud of it.
because he is genius.
5:26 what is going on?!
The performer made a few mistakes.
few... FEW
its an advanced piece a lot of performers probably make mistakes but unnoticeable when you are listening
@@emmanuelalfredomendoza7365 I think it's ok to hit some wrong notes on those measures... it's just insane...
@@emmanuelalfredomendoza7365 The piano probably has very light keys compared to an acoustic one since the midi is recorded.
44 through 1:00 give me Goosebumps every time!!
4:58 prelude op 3 no 2 Rachmaninoff...
@Seb Halter gabbo was just pointing out the similaritie
Je deleted comment lol
Wut ? I don’t get it x)
Yes, C# and an E really sounded like it
This is so beautiful, I’m lucky I got to see it live.
This is the best midi channel. BY FAR
I've just learnt about this Ballade it's just as satisfying as the other well known Ballades.
WOO!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!
Thank you so much! I always loved this music but nobody never did a good video.
1:08 That C major passage is just breathtaking😍
This upload has been long waited for.
beautiful, thanks for posting
guys i know that this is the easiest ballade but the 5:20 part seems a bit crazy... i have never played such arpeggios and i want to know how difficult it actually is
Easy and ballade shouldn’t go in the same sentence, but practicing the arpeggios slowly to build the muscle memory is the first step.
Don't know where you got that idea. Ballade No. 1 is easier than this.
I just heard this and this is definitely harder than ballade 1 but ballade 4 is on a different level for me
Ballade no.1 is only harder than this technically because of the coda
@@eenayeah this is not too hard outside of the coda, while ballade has a ton of hard moments outside of it. honestly ballade no 2 is the worst offender with the whole piece being easy aside from the ridiculously hard coda.
5:12 Listen! Liszt is coming!
Hr 2
La campanella
Fun fact: La Campanella, Hungarian Rhapsidy 2, and Mephisto waltz, pieces that people relate this piece with, are all composed way after Chopin composed this ballade
@@darkhafgor hahah
Nah I'm Lisztening right now
Such a great piece, isn't?!! Holy God of the Little Hammers!!!
Astonishing piece
5:11 to 5:38 is pure love.
I hear some Polonaise in there.
I WILL REIGN which???
5:12 al 5:37 es por estas razones que amo a Chopin
Yo lo amo por toda su obra
Lo amas por eso? Yo lo odio por eso kajaja
No hablo español, pero comprendo
the part from 4:15 is so beautiful, for me personally the climax of this piece
Wow, one of the few people who truly appreciates that short section.
Minute Waltz
5:12
I’m having flashbacks 🙈
Frank Gonzo black keys and evolutionary etudes
Hungarian rapshody no2
@@jesterr6024 la campanella has that in a completely different way this was more like hr 2
I started learning this piece about 2 weeks ago. I have the hands separately, but putting the hands together is kicking my butt. I cant seem to work it out. I start getting flustered around 3:51
5:11 Liszt anyone?
My fav ballades:
#1
#2
#3
I FRICKEN LOVEEEEE THISSSS PIECEEEEE SOOOOOOO MUCH!❤️ Idk why but when listening to this it made me think that this piece really puts the classical into classical music
Could you please mais a vídeo of the piano acompanhment of romance op50 n 2 from Bethoveen
Thank you for your work! This ballade is wonderful, one of my favourite pieces!
If you have time, please take into consideration Rachmaninoff Prelude op. 24 no. 4, it is really a beautiful piece. :)
Have a nice day and keep up the good work!
+TopAlbyDerapage Glad you enjoyed it. I really like your request for the Rachmaninoff Prelude, but unfortunately I can't seem to find a MIDI for it... I'll keep looking.
+pianoREADER Yeah unfortunately it's also impossible to find a Synthesia version of that piece, such a shame
This piece is the definition of underrated
Clearly underrated
OMG, your video is so good that I can imagine and see where are the piasnist's hand.
1:45 sounds SO familiar. I'm quite sure I've heard it somewhere before
Rohr Ballade no. 1 in g minor
Maybe I'm some ending of cartoons or maybe, Movies??
please make ballade no 4 as well
I feel as though this ballade is the easiest to follow. The melody is easy to follow and understand.
Una escritura perfecta 👌😃🌹
Can you please do godowsky's paraphrase of die fledermaus?
Could you do goldberg variations by J.S.Bach. When i remembered this piece i was pretty sure you had already done but , when i checked , i didn't see it. Anyway it's a nice piece
5:10
Thanks for sharing! This piece is truly beautiful! Any plans for Ballade no. 4?
+Chuck Norris The 2nd It'll come soon-ish :)
soonish
+pianoREADER ballade 4 plz
ballade no 4 its like the best one

Great music. I'm Korean.👍
Could you put the difficult level of each color on description of all videos?
the color is to show what hand you use to play the keys
多田翔子 What about Chopin's prelude no. 24?
多田翔子 Oh...i have forgot about those cadenzas. Anyway...the left hand in this prelude is very hard for me to play without making any mistake
多田翔子 I'm working on this etude right now
I think he might of ment the colour of the text on each video.
Pls do Chopins Etude Op 25 No 5 and Chopins Ballade No 4 :3
+ammystery1 been waiting for op 25 no 5 for ages my favourite Chopin Etude
+allmodcons6 ye i love it too :3 I am currently playing it and its sooo hard but it just sounds amazing :) I hope we will be able to see a video of it soon ^^

Please , who knows the mame of the pianist?
4:20
This sounds a lot like Polonaise in A flat major
4:10
2:40
5:12 and forward Liszt mode
It sounds kind of like a polonaise in the beginning
Hum
5:20 pray for small hand society
Octave leaps actually arent that hard for small hands- since it’s just crossing over the thumb and pinky-
Chopin said, lets see if anybody can play this weheheheh
It's the easiest ballade tho
@@CatkhosruShapurrjiFurabji no 2 is the easiest dude
@@shadowfighter7820 it's all your opinion, so I too am giving my opinion. Not everyone's difficulty ranking stays the same. Because it's subjective, it differs people be people.
@@CatkhosruShapurrjiFurabji actually no, Ballade 2's henle level is rated lower
@@shadowfighter7820 Henle is a very reliable resource but they too, don't give the rankings objectively, they count all difficult techniques and still rank it only 'as objective as possible'. I respect your opinion though, but if you yourself find something easy, go for it.
You know what ballade is most underappreciated?
Debussy's :)
Liszt's ballade no. 2
@@GUILLOM Le chant du Croisse is the most underappreciated, #2 I great but it's more famous compared to #1.
5:26 wrong note
I swear all of chopins songs are bipolar
Yesss first soft and pretty then suddenly an angry storm then dies down into a bay of flowers in the spring then they all die in a brutal winter
come on pianoreader u did 1 2 and 3 now wheres the 4th ballade
couldnt you just correct to mistakes?
ruhi gul It sounds more emotional this way.
It’s probably a MIDI file from an actual pianist that was transcribed to Pianoteq and synthesia. This, the mistakes cannot be corrected
@@titustan3893 they can be corrected. it just takes a lot of time
ruhi gul couldn’t you just shut the **** up?? Lmao this is great playing.
Cool to see this visual representation of the song, but what's with all the wrong added notes?
7:02 6 fingers on the right hand?
Play D flat and E flat with the thumb
@@Thiago-px9ev exactly!!
Sound like millitary polonaise
5:00-5:40 stops my breath.
Every true chopin knows the balldes go from best to worst : ballade no.1, no.4, no.3, no.2. The variety and musicality of number 4 just overpowers 3, which basically just builds of one melody, although admittedly it is absolutely insane.
You forgot to say that it's JUST YOUR opinion, and nobody cares about YOUR opinion

Ah yes, the ballade that's very fun to listen to, but deceptively difficult, and not particularly fun, to play.
This synthesia has so many wrong notes wth?
This ballade is clearly a masterpiece and it's very well composed, but the ending doesn't match the quality of the rest of the piece
Talking about this recording?
Easiest of the 4
TO MUCH WRONG NOTES ...
