As an endgame content noob, most of the echo bosses _would_ scare me, except you have to remember this is leagues. You will have godlike power. I think the echo boss difficulty ratings probably take this fact into account a little, but not fully. Remember that echo bosses are the main selling point of this league, and leagues are aimed at the entire player base, and most of the player base can’t do grandmaster or master level boss content. It would be weird for the main feature of this league to be unapproachable by most players. Therefore, I think a “master” level echo boss, for example, would probably be a lot less hard than a “master” level normal game boss, at least once you’ve got a few relics under your belt. Speaking of which, if you’re worried about boss content - just take the cheat code they’re giving you (banker’s note). I’m 100% taking banker’s note, mainly because I finally want to learn inferno this league (as I say I’m going to do every league), and I want to choose varlamore, mainly for fun, so I’ll also have a go at coliseum and maybe even echo sol heredit. Banker’s note letting me keep practicing in the same run near infinitely (not including getting one-shot) will be by far the best learning experience for me. Good luck!
Dont be afraid to try things, and you might not kill it the first time but the feeling when you finally beat something challenging is so good. Inferno, blood torva, and quiver were all incredibly rewarding experiences despite dying many, many times. I always say the best players in the game have died the most times. I believe in you!
3:24 Varlamore is a superior pick to asgarnia if the sole goal of this build is to maximize ranged strength like you say. The sunlit bracers give +4 ranged strength vs. +2 on the zvambs.
Im planning to go for T6 ranged so I never miss then run the TBow with full Justicar because accuracy doesnt matter so I can do 32dps to anything while still being super tanky.
Is there also a correction for the requirement for the crystal armor to be worn to get the bonus of the blessing? Or has it been confirmed that you need to be wearing the armor for the blessing to work?
Still says in the official Leagues discord FAQ that you need the full Crystal Armour set - would love it if you didn’t but I’m not sure that’s on the cards
Varlamore sounds cool but I think it's not realistic to get everything in time, even with melee. And even if you do, you'll get it in the very end when there's nothing left to do with the meme build. I can only see myself picking melee with AFM if the spec relic is strong. Otherwise I'll Goremax with DZF and hope the replacement for Grimoire is strong.
You can actually get two more prayer bonus swapping out Kourend for Tirannwn for the sunfire build - you lose one prayer bonus swapping the devouts out for echo boots and gain three when you lose the Rada's blessing for the echo blessing. I think it'll come down to whether you want a raid region or not.
sick video I'm excited to try some things but more and more they're giving us good (but tough) choices, I might end up running it on my main and my iron tbh with different regions. I did that last year too lol
Relatively new-ish teaser was a list of items that would drop as their full item instead of Components, so CoX giving a full Kodak wand. And Dt2 bosses only require the region they’re ‘in’ and not the desert! Great QoL changes for Leagues 5
I'm trying out KTF or DTF but I'm unsure of the order I want to go in. Crystal first would be good but I also feel the sapling would be good early. So many choices this league either way and nice to see two of the weaker regions do way better.
Having pivoted away from my initial VMT build due to Sol being out of my reach, I've been considering ZTF For the Crystal Sapling synergy, even if it's just a meme, or MFA for Super Barrows + Dogsword. A bit unfortunate that Super Barrows may not be as impactful then. We'll have to see how the other reveals go. At this rate I'll not lock anything in until I've gotten the tasks done to take something!
I'm currently on the fence between FAD and FTD. Void or Crystal will fill in the early gap up to echo KQ and ToA. I hope the combat masteries make Fremmy less appealing.
Im going ZVT precisely for the meme Nature Reprisal build but also balancing my skilling options and gear progression. Masteries allowing hybrid setups will be very sick for this. Cant wait to balance meme and seriousness!
Can anyone help me figure out a progression for ranged weapons or good dps. This is my first league and I'm returning after 7 years of not playing. I got to tier 5 of the range tree but my rune cbow doesn't feel much faster. What are my options to slowly build up to beat these new echo bosses. Also I took fremmi and kourend(eventually want to try for twisted bow)
On the crystal echo boss, I can’t work out if the blessing alone gives the crystal set bonuses, or if you have to wear the full armour? Anyone clear on that?
I'm thinking asgarnia desert fremmy. Start with dogsword spec (full heal, full prayer, def debuff), switch to drygore, which is now almost always 100% hit chance (provided there's a spec relic that makes specs always hit)
as everything stands; i plan on zeah, elf, and fremmy. not to funnel into one specific style, but to have a strong tribrid setup for chambers. might swap out fremmy if combat relics are disgusting and make the jewelry stat bonuses trivial.
Fremmy is also good for more than just the echo items, it has muspah, vorkath, dks, duke, faceguard, blast furnace, a store for poh upgrade items, i loved it last league and i'm going to pick it again this time.
I have already set my mind on set 5. The frem ammy and ring make the bowfa such a good second choice to cover grinds like zulrah. Plus the wildy is so op early game with the wildy weapons that carry
Last league I went ZDA with melee and focusing on special attacks. Not doing that this league, got tired of spamming the spec button and want a more passive playstyle so I'm going to go Ranged if we're picking attack styles, if not I think I'll still main the Drypipe. I'll take Desert for that and definitely taking Fremmy not only for the good gear but also just because I've never gone Fremmy in a league and like the bossing there. Not sure on a third region, I was originally planning Mory but I don't think I will now and instead might go Val. The gloves and quiver go well with ranged and the echo spear from there doesn't use normal spec energy so spec relics might not affect it, making it still viable if you're not picking spec relics.
It’s crazy to think that not choosing an entire region will feel just like not choosing last recall back in leagues 2 (when last recall was REALLY broken before it’s nerfs). Fremennik is OP at this point
One of the more recent reveals showing us we could get DT2 Rings without needing multiple regions was a real gem for closing the gap on the power between those but that still limits your regions jewellery-wise - Fremmy just seems like it'll be great this year
In principle I agree, but the only big loser are blowpipe builds. Calced dps for the other styles puts fremmy into somewhere between 10 and 20% more dps. That is a lot don't get me wrong, but if you prefer other content it makes way more sense to go for that instead. Blowpipers lose big tho, that ranged str is like 30-40% more damage
As someone who have bad reflexes i am a bit scared of the gauntlet echo and DKs echo tho, i mean, it's leagues but i don't know how much stronger they are tho. I liked the crystal khopesh build, i think i will go for those if they don't change much with the new relics, after all you can still use them with a Bowfa if needed and that is an easy swap of equips imo
It's not a super fun build, but if Dogsword is in consideration because of the existence of a special attack mastery/relic, then ZCB with ruby bolts at higher hp enemies is the only thing that currently outdps's the max khopesh build.
@@beastied6886Don't think so, I'm still getting 77 dps on ZCB vs 44 dps with max scythe on OSRS wiki calcs. Sure Scythe has a memey max hit of 400+ but its like 1/400k~ to proc all the echoes, so not sure where the 2t scythe beats out the 2t ZCB Ruby bolts.
@@EvilN00bs No not saying it does, your original statement was that ZCB with ruby bolts is the only thing that out dps's the max kopesh build. Which it doesn't, scythe also clearly beats it in pretty much anything as long as its 3x3. TLDR it would be ZCB spam > max scythe > max kopesh. Assuming spec relic exists.
Ngl i’d say your VERY wrong about the Super Sayian Barrows gloves Having the ability to AFK Raids with Guthans is so noob friendly its insane Ahrims blood barrage = never die Verac constantly hitting is insane for wildy pre ursine mace Same as anything with defence or melee prayer (Hey echo KQ) Torag = Ew unless your pking which could be nuts Dh = hitting 130s with no effort = 50M Melee stats xp instantly
Yea the vamp build can easily remove Varlamore entirely for any other region and use the gloves of the damned. Instead of doubling the heals, you can just double the CHANCE of the heal proccing. Same average healing but spread out over more hits, so less overhealing (but no doubled food)
Desert + Frem + Vara gives you +2 ranged str higher than zarnyte vambs once you get the sunlit gloves also quiver giving more dps. Also a key important aspect to the elemental magic build is Morty + Kand allows for an enchanted slayer helm for +15% more magic dmg on task.
I was going to mention the same about Varlamore instead of Asgarnia. You'd also get Quiver (with Assembler effect), which should make up for downgrading Pegasians to Rangers. Downside is you'd need to do Echo Sol, which is likely going to be Melee-focused but plus side is you don't need to grind Nex...
@@BioMasterZap honestly i feel like Gorepipe is going to do fine against most the mobs in Colo if going for this route, but yeah the toss up on if you would lowkey have to grind a TOA scythe just in order to beat echo sol would kind of suck lol
@@WellDoneOnTheInternetEverybody if we have a good spec relic this year you can always use the tonalztics of ralos from colosseum to lower Sol's defense as well as any other hard to hit bosses defense like Duke or Vardorvis
I hope some of our masteries benefit the multihit weapons like the Maracas or Frost Axes since I'd like to go Varla just to play around with those. Definitely don't plan on killing even base Sol this Leagues, hardest boss I've ever done is Corrupted Hunleff.
Funny thing is I already have coremaxing as my unlocks in the notes I been putting together (that is until another crazy reveal comes and fucks it up) xD
Careful, you talk about the Kandarin item, you're gonna trigger all the kiddies! Some reason everyone gets so butthurt about it. It can literally out DPS a SHADOW at all but max with a saturated heart... Granted I think they goofed by not releasing Twinflame Staff before this, if both of those were out, then this would be a god tier unlock, no doubt
Going Varlemore, Asgarnia, and Morty. I was highly considering Tir instead of asg but the only real benefit I get is slightly higher dps than torva and I get a nice bowfa swap. Going asg instead I get zcb swap and the dogsword as a spec weapon. I also don't really want to be trapped in CG for the first 3 days of leagues waiting on rng and crystal shard drops to corrupt a bowfa and get a full armor set lol. Fremmy just sounds boring now that varlemore has a stonemason for CON.
Sunlit bracers with soulreaper axe also seems really good, you could get massive heals any time you need them since you heal twice as much as you spend.
Okay I'm sad that the barrows buff is a lot less potent than initially expected. I'm also really surprised nobody at Jagex corrected this for the official reveal, seems very sloppy. It seems like only the berserker Dharok build is worth thinking about now. If Guthan doubled both the chance and amount of healing it would be pretty good for going full casual mode through most content in the game, and Ahrim would actually be a competitive mage set, but now it seems like everything but DH falls just short of viability.
The best build of these combinations is going to be the one with the best combat relic added on top. Dont forget that in the leagues the main thing goes into relics ❤
Oh absolutely - still expecting a lot of influence from Masteries. But It's fun to look at what you can do just by combining these new items together :)
Nice video. I gotta say though the true way to maximize drygore dps is by taking varlamore instead of asgarnia, since you can get both quiver and sol heredit echo gloves which actually give +4 range strength, although might be unrealistic to most players...
@@ScriticRS Thanks for calculating. Wasn't trying to be picky but thought it was worth mentioning. 0.04 DPS increase might not be worth it just for taking varlamore which feels a bit more melee oriented though
valamore is better than asgarnia for gore maxing. pegasian have no range str and just 4 acc more than rangers. Plus valamore you get cape (which doesnt boost darts past standard upgrade) and gloves that have more range str than nex gloves.
the fact barrows gloves only doubble one part of the effects is really dissapointing, i had been excited to try a second account cenetered around barrows sets but now i just dont see a point since the silly fun part of that all hinged off of both parts being stronger
@ScriticRS scythe seems broken AF with melee tier 6 too but I don't think it'll be that great until you get a scythe, range seems really good early and midgame
ZMF door memes if we get defense boosting in combat masteries. Otherwise these regions can tribrid perfectly fine with natures reprisal and a bunch of other weapons scattered around.

Im planning to go for T6 ranged so I never miss then run the TBow with full Justicar because accuracy doesnt matter so I can do 32dps to anything while still being super tanky.
I’m locked in on Varlamore -> Morytania -> Wildy
Melee based
Can’t wait
May I ask what your general plans are? I’m locked on Mory and Kourend, but can always use some other strats/insights for my melee leagues run
@ I just want to experience what I usually don’t/never play but will be exciting while behind the wheel before burn our sets in
Is there also a correction for the requirement for the crystal armor to be worn to get the bonus of the blessing?
I feel like WVF is the only way to get to the meme build relatively fast. Wildy weapons, Fremmy jewellery and Blood moon into the Colloseum
You can actually get two more prayer bonus swapping out Kourend for Tirannwn for the sunfire build - you lose one prayer bonus swapping the devouts out for echo boots and gain three when you lose the Rada's blessing for the echo blessing. I think it'll come down to whether you want a raid region or not.
sick video
I'm excited to try some things but more and more they're giving us good (but tough) choices, I might end up running it on my main and my iron tbh with different regions. I did that last year too lol
Did I miss something or wouldn't you need Desert to unlock the Kodai Wand in "The Avatar" build?
Edit: And also to unlock Virtus?
Relatively new-ish teaser was a list of items that would drop as their full item instead of Components, so CoX giving a full Kodak wand. And Dt2 bosses only require the region they’re ‘in’ and not the desert! Great QoL changes for Leagues 5
@ScriticRS Ah nice, must have missed that
I'm trying out KTF or DTF but I'm unsure of the order I want to go in. Crystal first would be good but I also feel the sapling would be good early.
So many choices this league either way and nice to see two of the weaker regions do way better.
Gore Maxxing is literally my area choices for this year, helllll yeah. I picked good this year :D
1k+ kc dry for the Bowfa.... are you talking about 9rain?
Can anyone help me figure out a progression for ranged weapons or good dps. This is my first league and I'm returning after 7 years of not playing. I got to tier 5 of the range tree but my rune cbow doesn't feel much faster. What are my options to slowly build up to beat these new echo bosses. Also I took fremmi and kourend(eventually want to try for twisted bow)
1321 for my bowfa main game, am i crazy for cosnidering T? :D
On the crystal echo boss, I can’t work out if the blessing alone gives the crystal set bonuses, or if you have to wear the full armour? Anyone clear on that?
Full set needed! :)
I was thinking picking Valdamore/Wildy/ Tiranwin but i dunno I want desert too :(
Great video as always man! Best channel for leagues content again, no doubt!
V is a great alternative for A in that goremaxxing build and I can see it being a lot of fun - I think you're onto something there
I currently have a similar Idea with Tiranwyn, Frem and Mort as the last as TOB is slash melee based.
Corporeal Demon - I want to farm corp, I think kdb sword + crystal will be best, maybe fremmy as the third
Yoo ngl the face to the voice wasn’t what I expected. I’m not gayge but thats a handsome dude
Special attack relic is paired with the last recall essentially now.
please i dont want to do fremmy why does it give by far best prayer bonus
It's not a super fun build, but if Dogsword is in consideration because of the existence of a special attack mastery/relic, then ZCB with ruby bolts at higher hp enemies is the only thing that currently outdps's the max khopesh build.
I know this is 4 days ago but the max scythe build claps it. Nowhere even close.
Assuming spec relic exists.
build dog godsword/ crystal/ valdomore glove if there a spec relic
5:34 Take Kourend, farm Hespori and call the build “The Devil’s Lettuce” with the new weapon
Perfect name - ZKF?
Ngl i’d say your VERY wrong about the Super Sayian Barrows gloves
Having the ability to AFK Raids with Guthans is so noob friendly its insane
Ahrims blood barrage = never die
Verac constantly hitting is insane for wildy pre ursine mace
Same as anything with defence or melee prayer (Hey echo KQ)
Torag = Ew unless your pking which could be nuts
Dh = hitting 130s with no effort = 50M Melee stats xp instantly
"afk raids" is such a retarded statement
Yea the vamp build can easily remove Varlamore entirely for any other region and use the gloves of the damned. Instead of doubling the heals, you can just double the CHANCE of the heal proccing. Same average healing but spread out over more hits, so less overhealing (but no doubled food)
Pegasians dont have ranged str bonus
Its funny how WTF is a viable plan this year, j-mods are cooking
DTF seems pretty good too.
Meme regions are quickly becoming the best ones 😂
I'm definitely going KTF
Going for the Crystal Sapling build!
@BioMasterZap good thing in mall man nex it will be 1/8 for a drop
100% agree, I'd love to see the moons gear not be completely useless pretty quickly after getting it
Funny thing is I already have coremaxing as my unlocks in the notes I been putting together (that is until another crazy reveal comes and fucks it up) xD
Definitely like the kopesh, and i think i will be going wildy/fremmy/tirannwn but it'd be really nice to at least try it in raids
As a two-time wildy picker, gimme that WTF combo. I want to abuse this new weapon to it's fullest
Wildy looking pretty goated for Leagues 5 honestly
Full justy with a 1Tick TBP and the range tier 6 to never miss is going to be OP
T/M/F
Masteries have opened a whole new world of builds - the range tanks are eating good
I think i will choose regions that are fun than picking based on dps. Just dont want to grind and sweat rather than enjoy the league.
Wildy, Tirannwyn, Mory was my original trailblazer leagues 2 picks.
I think im going crystal kopesh build :D
Most appealing part of Kourend, Tiranwn, Fremmy is that Zuk has no melee defense
Thanks for the information
Vamp build seems cool
Currently picking Crystal Kopesh, Wildy, Priff, Fremmy all the way. But I'm willing to bet Combat Masteries will again shatter whatever I've planned.
Varlamore*
Sunlit bracers with soulreaper axe also seems really good, you could get massive heals any time you need them since you heal twice as much as you spend.
Bankers note would eliminate the need to heal off bracers tho
@ ye its a good first look and this guide will be usefull later for sure
CEO MINDSET: GOREMAXXING
Nice video. I gotta say though the true way to maximize drygore dps is by taking varlamore instead of asgarnia, since you can get both quiver and sol heredit echo gloves which actually give +4 range strength, although might be unrealistic to most players...
How
Checks out! Actually a 0.04 DPS increase but no change in max hit - VDF/ADF both look great
@@ScriticRS Thanks for calculating. Wasn't trying to be picky but thought it was worth mentioning. 0.04 DPS increase might not be worth it just for taking varlamore which feels a bit more melee oriented though
well fk the glove news messed up my plans a fair bit
valamore is better than asgarnia for gore maxing. pegasian have no range str and just 4 acc more than rangers.
I'm with you homie
they did saw the drygore will get +10 range str when darts are loaded
after seeing the combat masteries i think ima do some goremaxxing fr
Goremaxxing post masteries looks gross with T6 Ranged mastery, time for a mastery video
The gloves of the damned not doubling ahrims damage is sort of sad :(
Can't wait to see you lose your mind in the red prison ;-P Hopefully the increased droprates will smile on you
My crippling PTSD from cg will show up. Took me 80kc to green log and i only had 2 dupe enhanced and a dupe armor seed. Never lucky.
