Hey I really wish you'd answer. I try to cannulate myself and I had already 6 or so attempts failed. I cant find a good grip cause that one that is taught is only good enough when youre doing it to someone else and the one that you present is strange for me and strange for example when trying to cannulate in hand vein. Can you propose another way to handle the cannula? I really wish I succeed. Recent try was really good and I had hit the vein and introduced cannula but only to the half of the way - then there was pain and my cannula wasnt in vein or didnt had flashback. I think the key is to have a good grip that Im sure of cause my present grip that I try doesnt allow me to use other fingers for anchoring and so i need to use other methods. Also I dont do it as quick and certain as I should. Please share with me some tips. I can introduce more details if youre interested.
I need to learn that technique because I suffered too much pain having inexperienced people cannulating me.
