I’m pretty sure Peyton and Sofia were 12 in the first season, 13 in the 2nd season and 14 in the 3rd season. Josh and Asher are about the same age as well, and both were aged 14-16 throughout the 3 seasons. They were definitely later bloomers though. Garren (Marty) was 13 in Season 1 and looked older then Josh and Asher even though he was younger 😂

The show had so much diversity and deep topics, gay characters and couples, interracial couples, deaf characters, character development, having babies at young ages. The show was great and I miss it.
I think they wanted to put more of a focus on Tj’s development with that, because Tj would prolly end up passing Marty the ball and he’d pass it to Buffy
