Wow..I was given the mat and pillow as a gift! Just used it for the first time after watching you video and I’m pleased . How many times a week do you recommend that I can use mat?
Hello there and thanks for this. Do you think it matters whether or not the mat you use is 'branded' or not? From what I can see the spikes on the no name mats look the same as those on the more expensive brands like 'Shakti'. Thoughts?
I recently had some serious back pain and thought to try this product! It works like a charm. Helps you release tension, relax, and I fell asleep! Completely fixed my back pain and I will be using it again and again for pain and soreness throughout the body! Give it a try and see what else you can use it for in this video! Aprille
Hey Mia!! :D I started using the Shakti Mat ( and their other products, I ordered all of them, head band, pillow and so on ) yesterday and it is THE best buy I ever did :D
@@YogaRangerStudio I will definitely try. I have had two surgeries on the ankle and I am a grocery store cashier, standing on it all day long. Start slow, right?
I hope you enjoy your mat! I love mine and use it each week for back pain, hip pain, leg pain and even stomach issues. Thanks for watching! Peace, Aprille
Thanks so much for this informative video. I've been yo-yoing between thinking I should get one of these or a lumbar support arch and couldn't decide which one. Your video tells me that this can effectively double up as both. Accupressure mat it is - thank you :)
You are very welcome! These area really useful for a number of things from IT band tension to back pain to leg pain. I hope you enjoy your mat and I have one other video about using this mat you can check out too for some more ideas! Have a great week. Peace, Aprille
@@YogaRangerStudio I ordered it yesterday and it arrived today. Going to try it out in a bit! Spikier than expected!! :D I will check out your other video's too. Thanks again and have a great week too :) x
I don't know of any specific ankle positions but it definitely works for the feet and perhaps with treating the feet and calves, your ankles will feel better too!
Hi!. I just want to ask if this can reduce anxiety disorder, increase immune system, contol blood sugar ( I am Type 2 Diabetic), relieves migraine, relieves testicular pain due to Epidydimitis, Prostatitis, constipation, Spondylosis, and also makes you sleep fast without taking sleeping meds like Zolpidem anytime of the day. Thank you. God bless!
Chris, this is an acupressure mat to help you relieve some pain - it's not a cure or a treatment for anything specifically. I have found it helps me sleep and helps me manage headaches and because it helps me relax deeply on a physical level - it has helped me manage my anxiety. This is how it works for me personally and how it works for you will vary as well.
@@YogaRangerStudio Thank you very much for your advice. I purchased one with a pillow and I just started using it for at least 20-40 minutes, 3x day. I am on my second day and hoping it will greatly improve my sleep as well as lessen my pains and anxiety. I will update after a week of using the mat and pillow continuously. Thanks again. Keep safe. 😊
hey there. i am a teen with very tight upper traps. i am nervous to use this if it hurts. what do you think? i just really want the tightness to go away
I have to admit, the first few times I did it, it definitely is a bit painful but I have found that if I start with wearing a thicker shirt at first and get used to it, then over time I don't really feel it so much anymore.
So far I’m not very much intelligent discussion about the bed of nails. I have one now and I thought for years the real purpose of the bed of nails is so we can train ourselves to relax and the pressure under pain. Or stated another way to activate our para sympathetic nervous system. I bought one i’m trying to get in the habit of using it every other day but a little forgetful. When I do use it is night and day I am set I am relaxed and energized and clear. Long deep breath and most importantly a longer controlled out breath..
I love my acupressure mat. It is wonderful for pain relief and caentering. I also recommend laying on your chest with no shirt on. You will become quickly acclimated. With a shirt on you will not get the deep treatment that the mats are designed to deliver.
I agree but most people need to acclimate to the pressure which works well with a thin cotton shirt on. I think you can still get a lot of pain relief with fabric between too.
Try it with a thicker shirt on to start as over time you do get used to it (it took a bit of adjustment for me too). You can also try sitting in a chair or in bed on pillows with it behind your back or under legs to reduce the pressure. At first you really feel it but if you can hold out a little longer (I use music to soothe me too), then your body will relax and it won't feel so strongly. Thanks for watching!
my life changed when I started using an acupressure mat. I love it
Such a great thing to have to relax the body and reduce tightness, right?
I swear by the Shakti/Prana mat. I had a very serious back injury - I fell out of an inversion. It was my go to for relief and repair.
Thanks for this! It’s on my wish list too
Wonderful! All of my local studio clients have them now for back pain and aches and they LOVE them!

As often as you like or need for tension and pain relief! I know some who use it everyday! Thanks for watching.

Honestly, it hasn't seemed different for me. I own 3 different mats, all under $25 each and the spikes are almost exactly the same. 😊
@@YogaRangerStudio Thanks Aprille.
First time using mine & I’m excited to continue using it as regular usage daily! 😍❤️😇🔥🥰 xxx
Enjoy!

You're welcome!
I can't help it but use it anytime I'm feeling tensión which is like 2 times per day. And it's wonderful 😍
It's a great tension reliever!
