Wish Ariel would return. I hope she’s ok and I hope she still talks to her people… miss her
Same like I miss her so much and just hope that she is doing well
so happy to see maggie again!!
I loved this so much! If you do it again, it might help audio listeners to have Rainie read the question and the answer. It got a little confusing, but overall very fun!
We missed Maggie!!!
Bless Maggie for bringing biology into the conversation.
Also they found Earhart on the island she crashed on, not too long after the crash. The body examiner at the time said the skeleton was too tall to be a woman, but she was 5'8". DNA records later confirmed it was her body.
As a person who used to print out Mapquest directions, most major US interstates are even numbered for East to West, and odd numbered for North to South. Eventually, my grandfather taught me how to read actual maps.
This is actually really helpful.
Best channel to learn anything: "Dad, How Do I?"
home repairs, finances, tying a tie..
Can we talk about how Becky greeted us in German?
It was like that guy in Frozen 😂
Gooden Daag?
Okay but can we also talk about how adorable her flamboyant grab of the Google machine at 20:23 was? 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I love seeing Becky on screen 😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@elbaecc it's "Hallo"
Please make *closed captions* available!!😥 It's so frustrating when podcasts/videos are uploaded without captions.
Yess! Thank you for saying so! I can kind of follow along without them a bit but there a a lot of other people that wouldn't be able to follow along at all without them
Agreed! It makes me so sad every time I click on a podcast episode but I can't understand what's being said. Disabled fans and fans with processing issues deserve equal access to trypod videos!
They’re up now thankfully but totally agree! Especially because they all talk very fast or very quietly and it makes it hard to follow along
So I’m from the south and we say “wallerin” so like “you’re wallerin me to death” for wallow… Matt is exactly right. Lol
I love Maggy, she been missed but I also miss Ariel. 😭🤍
***pickle juice helps because it’s high in sodium and helps your blood vessels stay full more full and and can pump harder and helped blood flow easier.** at least that’s what’s that i’ve been told I have a rare heart condition needing EXTRA EXTRA salt and fluid and electrolytes especially when exercising and pickle juice used to be my go to.
My serotonin after seeing a new episode right before my walk 📈
You guys should do a podcast on the home buying experience
1:01:30 Eugene’s first kiss was in a play too!!
Oh yes I remember that episode it was a good one! I love how everyone was so curious!
Loving this trivia energy omg please do more of these!!
My childhood dog was german shepherd/golden retriever mix so I knew the answer haha.
He had a brown and black coat but the length and texture was like a golden retriever! We have photos of all his siblings too and they’re all different colors!
That sounds like an awesome mix!!!
going off the rails on a Rainy train
Love the pod as always. Just so production team knows, the yt description still includes the... former cast of characters and not the current cast
If you're referring to Ariel they probably are not going to change that unless/until there is an official announcement.
@J Mason that's probably true, but they could at least add Matt to the description.
@@TheShauNanigans his IG is in there. His name just isn't in the original presentation of the podcast.
@@melodyide2248 Oh. Got it. I must have missed that.
2:41 the unison with which Matt and Becky said Sandra Bullock LMAO
matt, i almost exclusively say pigs WALLOW in the mud and i am so confused how maggie and becks never heard that 😭
Matt's outfit is awesome
Yess the central valley is big in agriculture. Martinelli's apples & strawberries in Watsonville, biggest artichoke producers are in Castroville, Gilroy is known for their garlic. Lots of stuff is also grown here in Salinas aka the salad bowl of the world. Tons of fields all around :)
I am a *big* Olympic fan, hosting the olympics tends to be bad for the country if the economy is weak, and people within the country do not have the disposable income to be the major audience and participate in sports as part of the future. It also requires significant commitment from the government in the aftermath to ensure the infrastructure has future use. That’s a big reason that the “Olympic legacy” is a big part of the hosting bid. For instance, if you look at London (I am from the UK), they had established infrastructure in terms of transport, some sports venues, and hosting tourists, the public *really* got involved and attended the events and bought into the whole Olympic idea. It inspired loads of people to take up sport, all of the venues are still in use, and even the athlete accommodation became public housing. In short, LA and the US is rich and has enough rich people, I think (comparing it to what I know about previous Olympics) LA will be a good host and it will be an overall success for the US. My primary concern is the heat, weather is considered as part of the bid so they will have to have mitigations planned, but it is still sport and it is still LA.
Deflategate was indeed the Tom Brady scandal! The Pat’s were playing against the Colts in an AFC championship game. I believe it was thought that it would help him grip the ball better? Not entirely sure what the reasoning was, but yeah. Never been a Patriots fan, even before that. GO RAVENS!! 💜🖤
26:28 Matt is referring to what we in Alabama call “wallering.” Not to be confused with “wallow” which would be to mope, sulk. 😂😂
Maggie’s GMM reference at the end lol
“Entertainting” 😂 love it
Loved this episode
Becky calling suburbs fastfood country 😆
Deflate Gate was the Patriots in the Super Bowl, a few years back, deflated their footballs slightly to make them easier to catch and throw the balls during the game because it was raining and the footballs were slippery.
Maggie’s eyebrows are so frickin good!
The Amelia Earhart mystery has been solved for a while now. I don't have the link right now, but its a youtube video from Mr Ballen, and there is a high probability that her plane basically crashed on a remote island that is known to be infested with a species of crabs called coconut crabs, whose pincers are strong enough to puncture coconuts, and it is speculated that she fell prey to them after landing there, probably because she was injured and could not defend herself. Bones and evidenc eof wreckage has been found on the island.
I'm sure this has been answered, but Becky got most of Deflate Gate right
Tom Brady allegedly deflated the ball, but because he knew it was deflated, he would know how to adjust his throw, but the other players would be throwing as normal, and have their throws come up short.
The ball *was* slighted under inflated, but it was never proven if it was intentional on Brady's end or not
Maggie is glowing and I'm here for it!!!
Super fun!
*“the pigs wallow in the sun”* - _Moby Dick_
Idk why but this episode made me miss Ariel so much
I wish there was at least a mention that she’s ok or something, but I know it’s none of our business… I just miss her
We had a middle school in my home town that their mascot was a wallowing pig💀🤣
This episode was top tier 🏈
Deflategate = In January 2015, Tom Brady was accused of (or had knowledge of) taking the air out of the game balls. The reason it was a big deal is because usually a football is almost completely solid (like it's as full as possible with air) and it threw off everyone involved when the ball wasn't up to standards. The reason they thought Brady knew anything was because he was the only one who it seemed to not effect. It became a legal issue and idk how it came out but generally, that's it haha
Maria Menounos did a news show we would watch in high school called Channel 1 news ☺️
Maggie saying going to New York at 24 is late in life is sending me.
Becky looks exactly like my therapist. Not a celebrity I guess lol but they do look so much alike
I also grew up in the suburbs and the city. I have definitely heard the term wallow many times. I think Matt wins this one.
HELLO LADIES!!! thank you for making my tuesday better
I mean, I took the LA metro everywhere back in 2014, including LAX, since I didn't want to risk an aneurism by driving in LA. Super convenient, I still don't get why more local people don't use it.
What happened to the competition between the channels? Where's the spaghetti dumped on their heads?
"Pigs wallowing" is pretty commonly said hahah
Maggie is back 🥰
as a sports management grad you nailed deflategate
I love Rainie so much and now that I know she's a fellow runner I love her more :D LOL
Literally snapped my fingers in agreement when Maggie mentioned that the healthcare system is for profit. I mean we are literally the ONLY developed nation in the entire world without universal healthcare. The US spends the most on healthcare, reflected in our percentage of GDP as being higher than all other nations, and has the highest healthcare costs per capita YET we have the highest number of hospitalizations from PREVENTABLE causes, the highest chronic disease burden, and the highest number of avoidable deaths in comparison to peer nations. People have to set up GoFundMe's for their chemotherapy and that's just supposed to be normal. People WITH insurance get denied for treatment and we accept that as somehow being normal.
No Maggie, PLEASE get started on this. I would love for y'all to do an episode on the healthcare system and for Maggie to include her experience and insight as a nurse. I think more people need to be enlightened on how problematic our healthcare system is.
I've heard for pig wallowing in the mud in my native Croatian. I have even seen it, cause I was raised in a village, we had lots of pigs. :)
Becky your hair looks lovely like this!
Queen Margaret, Queen Rebecca, King Matthew, and Titania Rainie
I got speech of the week for how to tie a tie… in college. Because in the early ots that wasn’t ‘Girl’ knowledge 🙄
I feel the millennials are always explain things to Rainie, she sounds like she isn’t very knowledgeable, I need an episode where Rainie teaches the millennials, what does she know that my old ass can learn?! 😂😂
Weed is considered ag. I was adding a new company in quick books last year for accounting at a tax firm I worked at. And it was like healthy h- something. And I thought it was in healthcare/medical but nope. I was told they were an agriculture company growing weed. Well hemp.
Deflate was the scandal where people thought that Tom Brady/Patriots were deflating the football so it was easier to catch, especially in slippery conditions
I have absolutely heard of pigs wallowing in the mud.
If Matt and Jack Falahee ever ended up in the same room, I feel like the universe would implode with doppelganger magic
Rainie’s celebrity look alike is Sam Mewis from the US women’s soccer team
Murder by numbers is the movie - Maria M was on one tree hill and hosts mtv the challenge a couple of times as well as have a podcast
Pigs wallowing is definitely a phrase in the south
bro they haven’t seen “i like that laugh”?? top ten famous vine
Today was the first day that my anger towards eww, turned into straight sadness. I miss Ariel and hearing about the boys.
Does anyone know what episode of the trypod where the guys answered these?
Trypod ep 197
Becky is correct about Deflategate being related to Tom Brady and how the deflated balls were easier to throw for that game.
Yes, the phrase "the pigs wallow in the mud" is pretty common. People say "as happy as a pig wallowing in the mud".
Have literally never heard wallow NOT associated with pigs. 😂
My family said “happy as a hog in s**t.” 😂😂
Pigs definitely wallow in mud HAHA
They figured out Amelia Earhart was probably eaten by crabs on the island she crashed on 😢😢
Maggie, we need to know where you got your pants.
Takis wreck my stomach. If I eat a whole mini bag I’ll have the worst stomach pain the next day.
As a person who has lived in Massachusetts their entire life but does not watch nor care for football, Deflategate was so odd. Becky was pretty much right, the ball to I wanna say the winning point was found to be ever so slightly deflated (just enough to give it slightly more grip to hold) after the game ended. Like it was brought to their attention after they were given a championship win. Every ball in the game is filled before games so it would have been someone who pumped up the balls that didn't do it all the way and apparently there's a strict standard to how much air goes into each ball. The whole thing was proven false at the end of it all and Tom Brady was the one everyone was mad at for it and in places, still are.
Loved seeing Maggy. This was such a fun episode. I always love a Rainie episode.
You forgot Sandra Bullocks best movie of all times The proposal
Maggie WHERE are those pants from
Stephanie Szostak is kind of a Maggie look a like 😅❤❤❤❤love you gals and guys
pickle juice is vinegar
LA having such a huge homeless population and deciding to bid for the Olympics is dystopian
Can’t do numbers struggle with maps I’m sure those issues are related
You guys are so cute!!
Anyone who's spent a few minutes on a farm knows that pigs wallow....
I think Maggie looks a bit like Alicia Vikander combined with Ana de Armas in the best possible way
So glad Maggie is back, she's been missed! I think she kinda looks like Mila Kunis.
Correction - it's not the olympics that's being hosted in the US next time, it's the FIFA world cup that's being hosted 😂
Maggie pleas tell me where you got your pants 😍
Good evening :)
The actually first female pilot was Betty Scott in 1910
Matt literally looks like manuel reyes the 🌽star, search him if you dare
Oh Rainie, once again bless your heart ❤. You’re so innocent and cute about being completely oblivious to everything lol. I adore you but gurrrlllllll, c’monnnnn.
This comment is super condescending and gross lol
Maggie looks like Rashida Jones
I’ve been told I look like Halle Berry sometimes. 🤷🏽♀️
Maggie looks like lily collins!
Not even a little.
Maggie def guessed Miley’s age right and Becky def made her go lower haha.
Amelia Earhart was not the 1st female pilot!
“Do you deal with Punnet squares in your work” 💀
Rainie episodes are top tier ✨️
why does rachel not come up? unsure if i missed this
