They don't care about a meaning, they just use it as a "conservative bad word" to slap onto things they don't like.
The same way they use communist, socialist, CRT, SJW, etc. They don't care about any actual definitions, they just want buzz words they can use to blame for everything and rile up their base
TBF they get to use "woke" as a filler for "ChiCom". Not that either makes any sense.

So "woke" is the new "socialism", right?
It's a lot easier than that. "Woke" just means "liberal," in the sense of American politics. That's it. Any policy described as "woke" is just a policy supported by the Democratic Party. There's literally nothing else to it.
The Liberal Democrat definition of "racist"*
(1) Anything they hate
(2) Anything they don't understand
(3) Anything that might upset those who supply their bribes "campaign contributions"
(4) Anything that might mean their actions have consequences
* "racist" is interchangeable with "homophobic", transphobic", "xenophobic", "islamophobic", "sexist", and other "isms" and "phobias".
The whole term "woke" is perplexing to me. Who on earth would position their opponent as being "woke" (aka awake and aware). By default labeling their own self as what? Asleep, unaware, sleep walking? Do they even hear themselves. Is the goal to be obtuse, ignorant and completely unaware??? Im thinking id rather be woke...

Definition of "woke" is to be alert to and concerned about social injustice and discrimination. So if conservatives are against "woke" then they are against educating people on what injustice, discrimination, hateful behavior is. In other words, being "anti-woke" means you support the continuation of discrimination, injustice and hatred towards people of different religions, ethnicities, women's rights, LGBTQ rights, civil rights, etc. In short, being "anti-woke" is being "bigoted!"

I was explaining the term "Woke" to some of my family. The easiest way to explain Woke is, finding out something you didnt know about before or you turned a blind eye too or were taught to look the other way.
This can apply too or be adapted to many topics as in racism, unfair treatment of others and even our laws and how they are enforced.
So many think wokeism just started, but it's been around since the civil rights era but it didnt have this name. I am in my late 40s and I remember cartoons,TV shows and movies in the 80s teaching us right from wrong and how to treat others and to respect one another and to welcome those who are different from us with open arms.
Then one day all these shows and stuff just disappeared... Truth, I think politicians saw is at times us uniting and if we all unite on the topics at hand, then we would be coming for them for answers. So, they had to stop this and divide us once again or they would be out of a job.
I'm just waiting for Conservatives to target Star Trek. FOX News just went after Transformers.

So that fateful day that all of the shows and stuff disappeared. Are you speaking literally or figuratively? Honestly asking to better understand. I remember watching Captain Planet as a child. I wonder if that would be a divisive show if aired today?
@@Llamabotomy Yes that was one. Even G I JOE had story lines about this and tips at the end " And knowing is half the battle" (Ooooo No! That sounds WOKE lol) catch phrase at the end of the lessons they tied into that episode. Also, there was a bunch others like Care Bears, Smurfs and so many others all had segments and parts that dealt with how to treat others and respect others and its ok to be different themes. Also, there was shows like Different Strokes, Facts of Life, Sandford and Son and GoodTimes to name a few that dealt with Race issues or being Different. Most shows even with pretty much all white cast had story lines about Race at some point. But they all were about acceptance or understanding one another. But once we hit around the end of 90s and the start of the 2000s that was all disregarded and not really talked about or shown... Heck, I remember how diverse Sesame Street was back in the day... Most of these shows if aired today they would call them " Woke " And have them removed or boycotted...

What ive always heard is that it means you are aware of how badly black people are treated. A lot of people who talk about social justice will talk about how a lot of different groups are treated very badly so the term has become confused with all things trying to make things fair and equal.
Not just black people, but other minority injustices as well.

Next time a conservative asks the question "what is a woman?" remember that they don't actually care about the definition of anything.
It's a bit amusing, watching them try and fumble for the right words. What they are trying to say is "When liberal views and polices that overcompensate for percieved systematic inequities are forced into society." I don't agree with this at all, I'm just trying to articulate what they are trying to spit out.

It doesnt actually matter what the word means, it's only enough that the people the propaganda is targeting (the in group) know that their usage has negative connations towards the in groups percieved enemies.

It's intentional. Republican party (Dems probably do this too, I'd wager) chooses a position on a subject, and then sends the phrases they want their candidates and officeholders to use when talking about a subject. "Thoughts and prayers" is a whole page out of the Republican playbook, and so is the classification of "woke" as the boogeyman that is going to destroy every human value in their eyes. 1984 is a very apt analogy.

We should ban woke colors! Are artists, designers, anyone really free to use whatever hues they want! SCOTUS ought to evaluate if the used of hues are covered by the first amendment! Personally I think the use of woke colors should be prohibited. At least perhaps Florida should ban kids from using all the woke hues and tints in art class. No more woke art teachers teaching their pupils how to mix woke colors.
