    I couldn't sleep, so I decided to look up videos on crocheted baby blankets. I'm making one for a friend who is due in May. I came across your video and will be going out to my local Hobby Lobby for supplies, today. This is a beautiful pattern and I can't wait to start this project. I'm self taught via RUclips and have followed along many videos. I have made many scarfs, hats, wash cloths, baby blankets and afghans. However, i still feel like a beginner. While this pattern seems difficult, you made it look incredibly easy. Your tutorial is fantastic! I'm now a subscriber! And, I subscribed to your emails, as well. Thank you so much for this video. For me it ended up being a not too loose but loose enough chain 😅👍. Trial and error indeed.

      I had the same problem and it was because my tension was too tight

    • @MaisieandRuth
      @MaisieandRuth  2 года назад +2

      Hi Sarah, this will be because your foundation chain is too tight. You can chain very loosely or use a bigger hook size to achieve a relaxed starting chain. It might be best to start off and practise this stitch with a small sample first. Hope this helps 💝

    Your blanket looks great and it’s an amazing tutorial❤️. But I made the first row too tight. So my blanket is a bit wonky. Is there anyway to fix that. Or should I just start again?? I’m on row 11 😭😭

    Thought this was just too cute and started it, since I have a baby shower by the end of May and somehow I shortened it, only had 38 clusters at some point, don't even know how I did this 😢💔

    Hi! If I wanted to make this blanket in a bigger size, how would I go on about it. Does the chain start in muliples of something?

    • @MaisieandRuth
      @MaisieandRuth  2 года назад

      You can use any number of chains for this blanket (add an extra 3 for the foundation chain). You can find more information about this in the description box (below the video). Thank you, I hope that you enjoy making it! 💝

    Hi Amanda I have already ordered the wool in dk weight thinking you were going to make the blanket in the same yarn as the set. How many balls of yarn would I need.

    • @MaisieandRuth
      @MaisieandRuth  3 года назад

      Hi Farah, how many balls of the DK yarn did you order? If you're using a worsted / aran weight yarn you will need 4 balls.

    I followed the instructions exactly, chaining 47 etc. However my blanket isn’t measuring 24 inches and in my second row i only have 41 stitches. Is this a major problem and do I need to do anything different?
