Thank you so much for this video, after 16 years with my 2005 RAV4 (only has 56k miles, hardly drove it), the shift light finally burned out. Thanks to you, I was able to replace it myself. My local AutoZone didn't EVEN have the bulb# in their system. Showed them your video and stunned them after I replaced it!
@@GertieMusic Well, it seemed like it would take about 10 minutes, but the previous owners of my RAV decided they needed a shifter lock (Mul-T-Lock) that is making it impossible to get the plastic cover off. I removed the lock body, and removed the 5 little screws that hold the plate on, but the bracket for the shift lock is basically pinning the cover in place. I'm going to do some searching to see if I can find out how this works, but it's basically made to NOT be easily removable. I think it actually bolts through the floor. In any case your video was spot on for getting that cover off without having to remove the console... so I'll give it a thumbs up for that!

I have a 2001 Rav4, but it have 4 screws on the corners. Would I have to unscrews those to get in there?

Yes it's aftermarket Kenwood. It works great don't know the model number offhand but I can get it

Try taking the bulb out and turning it a 180ﾟ and then put it back in
