Could you somehow use your laptop's keyboard when connecting DeX wirelessly to it? Question may sound stupid, but I was surprised I could actually click with my LG TV's magic remote while doing simple screen mirroring from my S9+ phone to it over Miracast. But it didn't work over wired DeX, so who knows what else Miracast is capable of... I've seen on RUclips that even scrolling with LG TV's magic remote worked over wireless DeX in Samsung Internet. I can't wait for Wireless DeX to come to my S9+ in the final feature update these days... I remember my aging laptop could receive Miracast (but cannot cast to other screens from it), so I might try to cast to it... I own bluetooth mouse and keyboard that can be easily connected to multiple devices, so I guess I will not rely on laptop's keyboard for DeX input... But because my bluetooth keyboard is backlit and I also own portable LG UST projector with built-in battery and Miracast support, Wireless DeX will come very handy when casting to my bedroom wall.
I just tried Smart View screen mirroring (not DeX) from my S9+ to my old laptop and I can confirm that keyboard input does work. Built-in laptop keyboard and all other keyboards connected to the laptop are automatically used for keyboard input for the phone while in Connect app in Windows 10. (I couldn't get mouse or touchpad to work for clicks or pointer movements, though.)
cheap galaxt tabs doesnt supports tablets supporting samsung dex- s5e,s6,s7,s7+ s6lite was only for students, not providing premium features s5e is the thinnest android tab in world, so it doesnt support spen all tablets working with android 10 ui2.5

I tested it on SONY smart tv and its working very well. Samsung note 10 plus. Presentation mode works, touchpad on touchscreen works with finger and S-pen too. Amazing aplication :) i will test that on the Projector soon.

Yes, thankfully. S9/S9+/Note 9 are all gonna get One UI 2.5 that brings Wireless DeX support. Some devices received the update, I'm still waiting for this last feature update...
Miracast is a clunky "standard". Any chance this could be configured to use Chromecast instead as that is a more reliable technology? Also, that would allow us to turn any hdmi computer monitor into a wireless screen
Love this feature with my note 20 ultra but the issue I am having is that all the options to change resolution and text size is greyed out so it's really hard for coworkers to see my presentations. Defaults to 1600x900. Tried looking within the Samsung input settings but nothing I can change there either :/
Yeah, DeX is great, ...as long as it's mirroring Samsung to Samsung. Just like Apple, the stuff works great, as long as one stays in the "ecosystem" of the Manufacturer and certainly, it's pleasant in this case. BUT... While I know DeX works on some "Smart" TVs, it's still not 100% meaning you can probably expect to deal with headaches if you don't have a Samsung Smart TV!
Hi, I have a Samsung Note 20 Ultra and I have connected it to a samsung qe65q60ta via DEX but unfurtunately I get this message on screen, " Monitor or Screen can't display Samsung Dex. Your TV isnt working correctly, or it's current resolution isnt supported by Samsung DEX." In other words, it's in extremely low quality and I have no way of adjusting, on the mobile phone or TV. The TV display settings is greyed out. What can I do? Many thanks for your help and time.

Will the Note 20 still work with the DeX Pad? I use the DeX Pad with my Note8 to use my unlimited data. Using DeX wirelessly over Wi-Fi will be useful, but I hope the Note 20 will still work with the DeX Pad.

This is great feature. Glad its simply Miracast-based. I hope that it comes to the Note 10 Series and maybe the Galaxy Tabs as well.
