It is a B-roll making machine with few equals. And it is a decent-to-good A cam. Mine has been rock solid for almost one year. I love the thing, funkiness and all.

This camera is a beast. 3 recommended purchases with this is hight bright monitor 7" by itself (not the combo) tx video transmitter sold separately, and three channel follow focus. Also if you want to lighten the load and keep 4 axis get the tilta arm. If you wanna lighten the load but only have 3 axis get 4d flex.
We've had one for about 3 months now and really like it. it's so fast for run and gun. We also just got our Flex in.
Rented for a shoot last month and purchased this instead of an fx6. It’s such an inspiring tool to shoot with
I used the Tamron 17-28mm f2.8 on the ronin, which worked very well due to its internal Zoom. I guess the new Lens is the same Lens just rebranded. Though I couldn’t find any specific spec to the lens, except the minimum focus ranges which are the same.
Where do you get your ND material for stopping down windows??
Wait for 2nd generation that has better rolling shutter and heavier payload.

I am very impressed by the Ronin 4D. It is such an innovative camera! However, I don’t think that this camera is it, at least not yet. It is a giant leap in the right direction and kudos to DJI for having developed and build this amazing camera but i don’t think it is a mature product. However, I do trust that DJI will continue to refine and improve this camera and I am confident that down the road at some point, DJI will come up with a camera that has most, if not all, of the great features we see in the 4D but in a simpler, smaller, lighter, more compact, and slightly more affordable package. When that day comes, I am buying it!

have u had chance to test Audio on it? or u do externally? thxx
audio is pretty atrocious on my 4D. You can hear the camera stabilizing on the audio if that makes sense. I've recorded separately with a zoom h6 when required.
If you had to between one camera: URSA 12K or Ronin 4D for everyday use, which would it be?
I feel like that _completely_ depends on the work you're doing and the types of sets you're on.
Neither one for everyday use. I'd pick Nikon Z8 or Sony A1.

There’s a factory DJI Sony E mount adapter, I’ve only ever used E lenses and it’s been great.

The footage looks closer to a GoPro than a cinema rig

You have to understand he's using a wide lens which make the background less blurry and if you watch the comparison with the fx6 they're both almost the exact same footage

Well, they didn't aim for a specific cinema tone, and the lens is indeed wide, similar to a Go Pro, kinda understandable. But you should definitely stop watching contents on tiny screens...
This camera is amazing, soft highlight roll off, great dynamic range, dual native iso, super cinematic. In fact an amazon prime show with idris elba was shot on this! It's more the types of shots and the grade ELM used in this video

No 16:9 on this, I’ve just been doing the crop to 16:9 before delivery and nobody has said anything yet.

What type of case does that fit in?
It ships with a hard case. You do need to remove the arms and the lidar range finder from the body in order for it to fit.
Also get 4d focus motor if you want to pull focus or even have auto focus on manual or vintage lenses! Buy sony emount for 4d, focus motor, canon fd to e mount, and a canon fd 55mm ssc and you win!

Also: that lens is almost certainly outsourced from Tamron (i.e. the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8)
I just picked one up this week and love it so far. My ND filters do sound loud when changing ND. Are you experiencing the same?
Same with mine, it’s always been the same sound and it’s two different sounds depending on whether you’re going up or down in ND.
Upgrade your system to the latest firmware. They lowered the sound of the filters.
@@justinhumphrey1516 I'm on 01.04.0303, it's still noisy but not ridiculous. I wonder how many times the ND can be changed before it's worn out, like shutter count.

i prefer to shoot on film and on other formats where context makes sense. like i'm not gonna pretend a dslr is gonna look the same as a 16mm roll of double x. i'm not david fincher.
The Sony lens looks better, more natural, less deformed.
It seems hard to control it in a precise way. If all components can be swapped easily and replaced with competitor products than it might be a great choice.

I find it shocking that they think with that price tag that it's acceptable to charge $1500 to fix something that shouldn't even be an issue with a camera at that price point. But it does look amazing despite that one thing.
Yeah its tuff to swallow that up charge. We've purchased aftermarket OLPF's for most of our other cameras but those were less than half the cost of this one DJI OLPF 😬. Apparently the "x9 8k" will release with an OLPF built in, also the new 8k camera on the inspire 3 has it built in as well.
we never experienced moire when we shot one of the launch videos. We shot in a ton of environments and conditions as well.
