"You would probably mean "great." It means large, the very best. The word "grate" means to trim food onto a grater for breaking down food into smaller pieces. Carrots, hard-boiled eggs, potatoes, etc. are reduced to finer pieces. I type this comment so that the RUclips audience to read and understand the message that you trying to convey.
dont forget the Funk brothers band who was the band on this song and all the groups at Motown . Papa was a rolling stone by the Temps . Well that band on that song was the Funk Brothers. That bass at the beginning of that song was awesome.
I love this long-playing song like the original one. I cannot believe that Smokey Robinson and The Miracles sang it after so may years. This music is my speed while I am 68 years-old in 2021. This song is genuine.
@@jamesdavis6410 Gracious Great God bless you, James. I believe that all the original Motown artists were the best at making music. The same fact is for Atlantic, Stax, Cameo, Brunswick, and all the other recording artists that made soul music. Thank you for tapping or typing to me.
🤔 always something special about Smokey's style ‼️ even as a very young boy I admired this cadence and still to this very day indefinitely top tiered forever ‼️🧐
yes indeed. it was stuck in my head all this morning when i heard it on Sirius radio. Love Smokey and the Funk brothers band who played all the music for MOTOWN groups . u can hear that bass and that horn.
Smokey has a way of getting people to express their feelings they using his lyrics in songs, not only smokey I had many records forward to me from love ones expressing their feelings to me it got my attention how they felt. And I in return I have use lyrics in songs to express my feelings towards them. I love it when someone send me a record to listen to and it the way they feel. So many music artist have put in words what other people want to expressing about their love and feelings for one another. The 60, 70s and the 80s music help to heal own soul and help us to make love together.
@@birdw I know that The Funk Brothers was the band that played for many singers and groups [right in the Snake Pit], ever since I watched these shows on RUclips for the past 2 years. I wish that the sound equipment was high quality like the expensive ones found in top recording studios. Thank you for typing to me.
Thanks for posting such a great remix and extended version of this great song! You've made me so happy. This song on the 1968 Billboard chart reached #11 pop and #3 R&B soul. I was 7 years old and used to play the 45 record over and over. The drums and congas in this song are incredible. Thanks forever for extending that serious drum intro in your version. Through the years, I always wished there was a longer version for the great instrumentals and vocals in this song. Please do some more Motown remixes!
That Baritone Saxophone in the horn section is thunderous right on the bottom. WOW.
The Funk Brothers who played for alot of the groups at Motown . Checkout Popa was a rolling stone by the Temps , U can hear that bass and the horns

Many of the comments ask Mosotogam to extend other songs. Unfortunately Mosogotam died from Coronavirus. But his legacy is tremendous.
Are you serious?
@@larrywebb5217 Yes, very serious. But RUclips decided to leave his page intact and didnt remove it.
