UFO Caught On Camera During Thunderstorm

- READ!! Filmed August 20th 2012 In Indiana. Ok I was at work and I noticed that a thunderstorm was rolling in so I went out and took my dash camera out of my car and put it on a wook pallet outside to record the approching storm. I took the cam out of the car cause my car was blocked by a building so I had no shot from the car. When I got home I was looking over the footage and came across this "UFO" I have no clue what it is and I did not fake anything in this video. I thought it was just something close like in the lot next door till I saw it go through the cloud and that is when I knew I just captured something very strange on camera.
Whatever it was seemed to be speeding up (or getting closer). The distance between the object's location when viewed frame-by-frame increased over time.
My primary guess would be a bug in close proximity to the camera, but the "transition" into the cloud is very strange. Cool capture regardless!
Is the raw video file from the dashcam in 720p30 or 1080?
To me, it simply looks like something blowing past in the wind. The illusion of it vanishing into the clouds, is just the object losing luminosity to the camera when it goes past the brighter area to the right. I expect it travels the full frame, and you could see this, if you used a certain filter.
Iv'e never seen anything blow in the wind stay on a straight path like that. usually whatever is blowing is slowly making its way down this was not and was moving lightning fast
Imaginations at work here. It's a small piece of dandelion or something similar being moved along the wind, It's not near the clouds, it's much closer to the video camera.

I agree it looks like a bug close to the camera, but hard to tell only viewing from YT
What's your "software" you put the video through to analyze?
Any extra processing or analyzing this video (opposed to the original source video) will only result in viewing additional digital artifacts introduced in YT video compression.
Using video editors such as Premiere, After Effects, Vegas, Final Cut, etc and viewing frame-by-frame will give you the same results as seen in the published video on YT.
I would love to know the name of software that can determine the distance of an object from a camera without knowing its size or having triangulation input. Actually, such software cannot exist because such a determination cannot be made.
Happily we can discover it easily in the fram by fram clip.
Yeah I had to slow it way down cause it was moving so fast it was hard to see. I'm surprised I saw when going over the footage.
It does not strike me as a bug at ALL. But it could be a small piece of paper; a light bit of detritus caught in the wind .. it's not a refraction of light in the lens element, either. It appeared to be a solid object ..

I only saw it cause I was looking for lightning strikes so I am use to looking for fast things in the videos I shoot. I just set my camera up and let it record the approaching storm which I do alot when storm chasing or filming a storm. The whole video is over 20 minutes.
I was thinking the same thing, just don't where to send it. I did send it to that Fact or Faked show on syfy. Havent heard anything back yet. Thanks for watching.

Not really and I would like to know. But that cloud it went through was pretty far away so it I'm thinking something kinda big and far away moving very very very fast!

Not a bug I can tell you that is forsure. Bugs don't fly through clouds LOL! Yes it does speed up a little right before entering cloud. Raw video is 720p
if anything that fast, goes through various of pressure differentials travelling at supersonic/hypersonic speeds, MUST develop a shock wave, better known as a sonic boom, and not to forget the tremendous exploding sound when anything crosses the sound barrier.. now even if its an UFO or a jet or anything flying that fast should experience both of the consequences as it is my friend, as showed, clearly in the earth's atmosphere...! thats weird, no idea what that is, maybe a bird zooming by up close or something larger much farther away. hard to tell.

Are you serious! You think this is photoshoped, LOL that is funny. This is real, I have no reason to fake it at all. I am storm chaser not a ufo chaser. I caught this on camera while filming a storm and posted the video. Everyone has their opinion to what this may be, but the video in no way shape or form was altered except for slowing it down to better show the object. I just know that it is a "U.F.O." an "Unidentified Flying Object" in the sky. Hell it could been a flying goat for all I know.

In the first 1/3 of the distance... you can see little puffs coming off of the alien space craft ! I believe it is it's exhaust emissions !!! Ewwww-weeee-eewwwww :)

3 things that could be
1) shooting star *not only seen at night some are bright enough to be seen at day*
2) dust blowing in the wind *duh thunderstorm = wind*
3) debris caught in the wind *duh*
All No! cause it went through a cloud. If it was a meteorite it would of been big news if it got close enough to go through low lying storm clouds. Not dust at all. Debris is possible if it could blow it that fast when the wind wasent blowing that fast to begin with and send it through a cloud. So duh duh duh! back at ya :D

the video I'm 90% sure is fake, if you just do a simple test by grabbing a small peice of paper as long as the screen...
then place it at the same level as the horizon, you will notice that the camera was not level
now play the video and align the paper with the path the ufo travels.
now slowly move the paper down with out shifting it off of the flight path.
notice that the path is at a sort of sloping downward from the horizon now this could be explained by the direction of travel but the path would not be level with the camera Frame aswell if it were in fact moving away... just my opinion.. sorry for pour grammer.

The wind wasent that strong. It might of lost luminosity when it goes past the brighter area but it went through or behind the darker cloud to the left of that.
frame by frame makes a Photoshop dot look like crap, next time don't forget to add a little blur effect to your Fake footage.
