*I am shocked that you played that much and that you are still alive. LoL!! I can't stand playing more than 2 hours at a time. Of any Diablo game. Back when D1 and D2 were current, I could pull all-nighters and continuously play. But not anymore. You are a gaming hero, bro.*
I have 1393 hours played. 14 seasons, 99% has been solo play. All I can say is the first 20-40 hours of gameplay for each season is extremely fun and satisfying. Was also was one of the few to take out Infernal Diablo with a barb (copying kripparians build) pre nerfs. What a ride. Thanks for putting this video together - *high five*.
The amount of effort you put into this video is staggering. It must have taken weeks... I loved every minute of it! Seeing how Diablo 3 has changed over the years is so crazy. I remember when Loot 2.0 came out and there were SO MANY LENGENDARIES. I was like a kid in a candy store. I haven't played in many years now, but I still look back fondly on Diablo 3. What an awesome game.
So I'm brand new to the game...started in Season 26. I'm not sure why it took me so long to get into this game...but I've been looking for a grindy game I could seek a ton of time into and it went on sale for the Nintendo Switch (I'm not much of a pc gamer). So I dived in. Freaking love the game. I'm only a bit over 200 hours into it, have only leveled 1 class (Barbarian 1150 paragon) and haven't made it past 112 greater rifts yet. The game keeps surprising me at how deep it goes. There was a time that I though 1 million gold was a TON and I didn't want to transmute any of my items because 50k per felt extreme. Same with gems...they were so expensive! I'm now sitting at 20 billion gold and have nothing to do with it lol. Same with difficulty levels. I thought there'd never be a chance in heck I'd be playing at Torment 16. I figured that was for super hardcore people. Now 16 is trivial for my character. lol I remember early on being hyped up to see my crits hitting for 10+ million. My attacks were slow, but they were hitting like a semi! Little did I know that I'd eventually be a freaking tornado of pure destruction hitting for billions super rapidly to everything around me. And it's so exciting as a new player to experience this! But there's no skill on my part involved. I literally just hold down 2 buttons while zooming through wave after wave of enemies. I mean there's a little more to it obviously...but it's all super easy. When it comes to bosses, I just stand in place and down them in mere seconds (I grind level 100 greater rifts). And I'm totally okay with it for now! I have plenty of other games that take skill and actual thought to play. There's something super satisfying about just absolutely destroying the heck out of everything in sight and becoming more and more over powered over time. I'm finding great joy in just smashing things haha. I'm loving how ridiculous my Barbarian has become. I play other games like Monster Hunter Rise when I want more of a challenge. But like I said, I'm brand new to this game. I've only played 1 class, am a casual, am not interested in multiplayer and will never have any desire to have anything to do with the leader boards. I can see how this game isn't for everyone. It's SUPER grindy and you do the same things over and over (greater rifts). For me? This is exactly what I was looking for. I use to spend hours everyday in World Of Warcraft mining and gathering plants so I could craft elixirs and such for my guild...and I absolutely LOVED that mindless grinding. And for people who have been playing this game for years...I can absolutely understand that this game has become a disappointment. This game as it stands now feels too easy and it takes very little skill to become completely overpowered...It would personally frustrate me if I had spent hundreds of hours grinding my way through ligit difficult content to build my character up...just to see a newcomer spend just a week of easy grinding to achieve what I put so much effort into. It just feels like a bit of an insult to those that didn't have it so easy like we have it now. At any rate, as a new player to the game I'm loving it and I'm hyped up for next season when I'll start fresh with a new class. This game is exactly what I had hoped it'd be.
It's been more than a decade? I remember the first time I played d3 with my girlfriend at that time(which my wife right now lol) and now I play d3 sometimes with my kid on nintendo switch and it also has a special place in my heart too. It has It's charm even though it's not a perfect game or a true successor to diablo 1 and 2 but I really enjoyed it so much to the point it became a family bonding with my kid and wife just to chill, relax and have fun on a rainy day with a warm swiss miss and pizza.
Now this is what I call dedication, it felt like watching a mini documentary of Diablo 3. Very well put together video, informative and interesting thank you!
As a player who left the game from 2014 and came back s20 I'm really happy about the changes happening recently since I mostly play alone last few seasons I had a decent try at higher GRs(130+) for the first time without dedicating my whole gaming hours to grind 1 game.
I dont think people played any highlevel diablo 2 pvp if they didnt like the pvp in diablo 3. Everyone teleported and 1shot everyone in diablo 2. Think people forgot that part.
PvP in d2 was far more nuanced than that. Sorc v Sorc at a high level was game of wildly quick decisions and impulse control. Hitting me was something that required far more than luck and I can say that for all the high level guys I used to duel. Randoms or scrubs weren’t even a challenge. I never played Diablo 3 pvp but I can’t imagine it would be anything remotely close to d2 just based on the d3 gameplay and mechanics alone. Diablo 3 is such a different game you can’t even practically compare the two, outside the parent studio and franchise ties. Tbh the story barely honors Diablo 2 lore
I just started the PS3 version on 2023. It was interesting to watch this in-depth history of Diablo III. There is so much more to this game than what I have access to on the PS3.
After 6100h played i agree the best feeling season was aroundd s8-14. It was challenging and rewarding to push. Also seeing 150 as something unobtaneble was great. Now with last seasons ive lost my exitement quite a bit for this game even thoug i love it.
With the upcoming Diablo 4, I was excited to hear all of your thoughts on how the early days of diablo 3 were like. I played day 1 also, it was an extremely difficult game, completely different as to what it is now. My only chance at infernal difficulty was either single resistance stacking monk, then using one with everything, or a hit and run wizard. Those were fun days for sure, very challenging. I hope we see some difficult spikes like the old Diablo 3 we once played. Hope to see you there, I'll be keeping an eye out for some videos on your thoughts.
I have a similar relationship to the game, but with only 5500h. I like the state that the game is in right now and it was nice to see the changes again. I forgot about a few patches even, like having to kill certain monsters for crafting. If I would be a dev I would raise the maximum GR to 200 and leave the gem-cap at 150, so semi-casual solo players can forge their character with nearly perfect stats and no-life-group players have some additional difficulty to tackle.
Wow, 10k hours. Gotta be honest, the absolute closest I even come to that is 1K+ for Borderlands 2 and Battletech 2016. At least you were having fun during that whole time I hope.
Dude, this video is amazing! It is super in depth and has me hyped about the franchise again. I was playing the beta of the D4 this weekend, and I’m looking forward to dipping into D2 Resurrected and Diablo 3 again. Thanks for the great work!
Really nice history lesson I didn't know the game changed so much. As a casual I really like what it has become as I can make it harder if I want to but mindlessly spinning to clear rifts is what's chill.
Incredible video. I’ve played as a casual player for years on and off. The video detailing the changes made by one game is amazing. Great video well done
I started with PS3 version as I didn't have internet access but it was really fun to take to friends and play co op 4 players. I later got the switch version and it's sooo good.
This is a great video. I bought and played D3 at launch. I came back to it to play casually a few times. I didn't realize just how much the game changed until I heard your narrative and saw the menus in your clips. I think I've only played three seasons over the past 10 years, but S26 is the first season I feel like I found rhythm. I'm not on the leaderboards, and I haven't pushed past GR 105, but I am over 1,000 Paragon this season. I even dropped two useful primals and about 20 useless primals 😆 What I did notice, is once you have Paragon, you don't even need to powerlevel an alt. It takes a couple of hours to hit level 70 and with RNG luck, another 30-120 minutes to build a set. I played monk for the first time yesterday, and cleared GR 100 with it today. And personally, I'm okay with it. I've only ever really played wizard, barbarian, a bit of demon hunter, and now monk. I guess that for filthy casuals like me, the game still holds a few new things to explore. In the end, I've got to agree. The replay-ability of this game is unmatched. There are only a couple of other games I've played countless hours spanning over 10 years.
I was curious and had to check. I only have about 450 hours of play since launch haha. I also didn't know (till now) that you have to track down hours in normal and seasonal modes per class.
I haven't touched my non season characters in years. I got a couple characters from before seasons were a thing, and I have 1 character slot for each class that always gets rebirthed each season, and never keep any of them. This video made me go on one of them and look through the inventory. Keystones, unidentified rares, rares that I used because legendaries were still uncommon, damn, what a trip down memory lane.
I started playing Diablo 3 since July 2022, my first character was a wizard loved playing it, the gameplay is fast paced, finished the base game and dlc with my wizard on torment iii without doing any greater rifts. I didn't like the GR farming because of the endless paragon points but I do enjoy trying out new classes, which makes the game for me interesting and fun to experiment. I come back to this game just try to play a new class(experiment with its abilities) finish the story, it is the only enjoyment I get from the game, I did try doing the seasonal rewards with my monk but it got boring real quick. I still enjoy the game don't get me wrong but I find the paragon leveling very unproductive, mindless and boring. Seasonal stuff is fine but not my cup of tea, great video btw ❤.
never played diablo 3 but my first game is now diablo 4. absolutely loved it. got level 50 and two characters. should i go play diablo 3 since i liked D4?
Definitely yes. The story is 10-30 hours long and you can play trial version (half of act 1) without making a purchase. Once you get to Act 2 you'll be surprised to see good old Hidden camp with Caldeum and many other Easter eggs that made it to D4
Thank you for offering your perspective openly about something you enjoy so much. Also, your voice has a rich timbre and you speak with a nice cadence.
My favorite part of the game is playing a character for the first time and crafting builds as you grow. Not looking at other leaderboard builds, or the internet for a build, but figuring it out by yourself and seeing how high you can get on the leaderboard. I have done all the sets for each character. Now I am building a legacy of dreams build for each character. And of course, always hardcore.
I feel like I had so many complaints with vanilla D3...hundreds of hours of hating my life on the monk. When I finally managed to get a WW barb and CM wiz going, I actually started enjoying farming and trying to learn various AH markets. As fun as it is to blast D3 nowadays, I still miss the challenge of trying to master the AH. Whichever season brought the 4th cube slot really brought me back, as that was the most fun I ever had with a Necro.
Thank you for this video and all the great nostalgia provided :). Regarding the "Paragon Problem" you mention, I'd like to offer a different take on the "root cause of it all". To me the Paragon grinding and the "speed GR farming" meta are merely symptoms of a far more troubling and frustrating issue in D3. In my humble opinion, the horrendous item customization / upgrading system in D3 is what you can ultimately trace all other problems back to. D3 does not offer players ANY control over upgrading and customizing their gear. Examples? Here we go: 1) Blood shards at Kadala: items gambled are mainly useless blue/yellow, with an occasional useless legendary (playing on console; your experience on PC might be different) 2) Crafting items at the blacksmith: gambling primary and secondary skills, using valuable bounty mats 3) Kanai's Cube: arguably the most frustrating way of "reforging" in all of gaming. Whoever invented that has clearly never played a pen-and-paper. Rerolling an entire item instead of desired stats, and with no guarantee to keep item quality (ancient or primal) for rerolls - wasting literally hours of our lives and bounty mats again. A casual bounty run takes ca. 45 minutes and allows for only 4 rerolls of an item before you run out of materials. For 1 character with 13 gear items we 're talking over 2000 bounty runs to guarantee improved gear. NOONE I know has that kind of time nor patience. So what does that leave us with? The gamble of loot in GRs. Enter the Speed meta. 90 seconds to 3 minute runs for a lottery of items at the end after defeating the boss. 99% of items are directly crushed into materials for .... you guessed it ... more gambles on item upgrades. Speed runs get old and boring rather fast. Here players ultimately decide to either ignore loot altogether and grind Paragons instead or cheat and add modded gear of their own taste. Gons give you the power to just play the character you want with the playstyle you prefer. As a true veteran player (pushing 50 years old) who has spent many nights on both Diablo and Diablo 2 , this is just sad. I really do hope D4 changes and overhauls the loot and item customization system completely and gives players real control over what and how they want to play.
I used to play D2 10-12 hours a day for nearly a decade, but quit D3 in less than a few weeks. Despite coming back several times hoping for improvements over time, D3 is still lacking varieties of plays you can really be obsessed to play. Altar of Rites & Visions of Enmity were the closest things to make me come back with hope, yet still slightly insufficient level of obsession. Season 30 & beyond better not disappoint anymore.
Thanks, great video, I was at every event you mentioned. ................ It's all right .. you can keep it in every detail very much... I spent a total of 2500 hours on D3. I went through the experience Come like you . I stop playing SS 5 . After about 5 years I came back to play SS26-28 I love this game so much it's still fun to play again.. Thank you for this video. See you at Diablo IV.
Thanks for a nice review! Brings back a lot of memories. I've been playing since release too, about 18k hours so far, no other game comes even close to my playtime in D3. The game has too many flaws to list them, but I love it much more than I hate it. It's a shame the support team hasn't asked us for a few more dollars over so many years, I would have given.
What a great video man. I agree with every point you made regarding Diablo 3's long term issues. ESPECIALLY the paragon system. Infinite leveling just overall devalued the end game experience for me. The only bonus point I'd also add was that as a D2 fan I really enjoyed D1 and D2's atmosphere and dark art style much more. I am really stoked to see D4 will have a more grim look. Thanks for putting this together man. Well done!
Incredible video, I never thought I would sit through a 46-minute video review of a game I've played before. And you really made me buy a copy on Nintendo Switch to experience it again. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
Awesome video, man! I got a few thousand hours myself and have been here since maybe about Season 17. I really like D3 for exactly the reasons many don't like it - i like the fast pace and fast power up AND the SSF so I am eating good these days 😂😂
I was there on launch as well. I didn’t hit 10k hours. But I will always have a spot for my first character the witch doctor. He got almost 600 hours played before seasons ever hit. ‘‘Twas a good time, I enjoyed myself when it was trendy to hate on the game.
Been playing a bunch of diablo 4 with friends. We are a bit burnt out on it and they managed to convince me to buy diablo 3 and reaper of souls. We started a new playthrough yesterday, Monk really appealed to me. We are already level 35, 3 hours in. Fantastic game.
Great video! I really miss vanilla Diablo 3 and Auction House. Real money Auction House also gave me the motivation to play and sell items. I wish we can play vanilla d3 in seasonal theme.
First of all, that’s a great video keep up the good work. I love diablo (favorite games) played it since D1. I've played diablo 3 since release (5719h). I haven't completed all the seasons only since season 19 up to now. The only reason I play the seasons is to get the pets. I've also gotten all the achievements (wish there were more). In retrospect I always thought the game was better in the past but that’s simply not true since the game has improved in some aspects. Its just that the game is really shallow (wouldn’t pass it on for a retail game more like a demo). Thank God that we can finish the season in a couple of days only wish that the seasons were shorter. I also can’t believe that they didn’t give us any wings or a pet for the 10-year anniversary and don’t get me started on Diablo Immoral. Can’t wait for D4 hope it turns out ok.
Agree. It is a shame that Blizzard didn't bother much with the 10th anniversary. Not sure If I'd play Diablo 4 (MMO style with many chores) as much as Diablo 3, but I hope this game will blast on release and will not sink in monetization hole. Thank you for sharing this info 💗Peace.
I'd say yes, it is totally worth it. Even if you don't plan to play end-game, the story, sound design and cinematics won't leave you disappointed. Plus, before you buy, you can try the free version (half of entire act 1 is accessible) and up to level 20 (I think) As for D2z it is also decent remaster, but the in-game mechanics are definitely outdated to modern standards 👍
@@knowwork9 it depends. In Prime evil collection you will receive basically everything for D3 - reaper of souls expansion, necromancer class, cosmetics (pet and wings) and ofc D2 Resurrected. If you need only D3, then you can purchase D3 Eternal collection instead. Personally, I'd buy Prime Evil edition as you receive more for the same price, than in the eternal version. TL:DR Prime is better for players, who don't own D2R and D3 👍
One of my favorite games of all time. It came out in a special time in my life, and after all this time I still love it. It has changed greatly, but so have we all. Thank for you a great video.
The main problem with d3 for me is that most of the fun is in the leveling up process, trying differnet ger, seeing what woks, and scraping by, the moment you get a class set that basically says, "X skills now deals 5000000% more damage" the game becomes a slog with little to no gameplay variety, its always one or two damage skills, a mobility skill, a defense skill and a buff skill, getting to paragon 800 last season made wanna never look at the game again
I have around 600-700h. I hope Diablo 4 will be as good or better than D3. I wish they would have added controller support for PC. So much more comfortable when I used it in D4.
Such a good video. I don't like to play medieval fantasy RPG games, but Diablo 3 attracted my attention because of Witch Doctor class. I think, to this day, it's one of the few (or maybe the only one) video games that has some sort of African as a protagonist. I think that's very interesting.
I remember bringing this game home with MGS4, The Last of Us and GTA5. Me and my friends were so hyped for this. We started, had a blast until the desert area and got bored. Never touched it again. 10 years later now I'm thinking about actually playing the game legit with my roommate. Will I be disappointed or has so much been added that I'll love it?
It is no longer the same Diablo 3 as it used to be. It's now more like a walk in the park, as the game introduced more difficulty levels for new and advanced players. You are free to choose what to do first, and the game is not punishing anymore. I'd say it is rewarding enough for your deeds (probably because there is no auction house nor trading anymore). Finishing the campaign is also not required nowadays, and all players can play adventure mode to casually farm new items, xp or just playing publicly. If you return to this game, I recommend playing only seasonal mode for a fresh experience. Non-season mode is mostly empty, and it has no "special buffs". P.s. Next season will start between Feb/Mar, so you can blast full force on day 1 once it begins, as many players hop back to the game with each season start.
Been playing since 2015 but NEVER updated it until 2021 now that i figured out how to connect my ps4 to the internet and am still having a blast and tje game has improved drastically ever since i shall watch this review thoroughly
i played the game in 2018 with a few friends and it was really fun we spent maybe 100 hours or so playing it, but what killed it was seeing the hacked chars and items just rolling over everything in the game. it took the fun and challenge the game had. great game for me and got me into the series
You sir - are a legend - thank you for this! I didnt play D3 for so much time. But still - I get returning to it, for all the reasons you have mentioned 😅
I bought diablo 3 eternal collection in a bundle with d2 resurrected when they were on sale together for 19 bucks. I haven't had the chance to play much of either of them yet but can I expect a nice enjoyable timesink? Maybe not 11,000hrs but a good couple hundred maybe?
Hundred hours for sure, but playing Public games and finding a group for leaderboards can be hard nowadays. Unless it's a new season, which begins soon (around September 15 or so) You basically choose your own goals - play for achievements, ladder, best primal loot, seasonal journey or just paragon.
@Firzj yeah I'm used to a nice loot chase/gear grind as I play Monster Hunter as my main game, wouldn't surprise me if I had similar hours in that series. I mostly play solo and just for a good sense of progression and fun, so hopefully I can find that here too
I am new to Diblo, this video is sick, I watched some of your new D3 videos after this one and I see you're still very active on the game that's super cool to see and I'm glad there is content still in the game in 2023. And your videos definitely made me decide that I was going to buy D3. Thanks, and I will definitely keep an eye out for more content coming from your channel :)
Thank you ❤I'm glad that my videos have some positive impact. I'll definitely post more videos for D3 and D4. I had some plans to cover the next Season 28, but right now I, unfortunately, don't have a PC with me. ✌
I remember playing S11 I was playing witch doctor, my friend playing monk. we were tryharding and learning about mechanisms to push the leaderboard(pylon positioning, player roles, distinguishing good and bad maps etc). In my clan/guild there was this super experienced barb main, I asked him If he could help us push the leaderboard for 3 player rift. I didnt think he would help us because we were basically noobs. Contrary to my expectations he helped us push to 100-ish rift like it was nothing. we got ninety-something rank on the leaderboard. it was hell of an accomplishment for us. I was a freshman suffering from imposter syndrome. The fact that I could accomplish something gave me courage. Even to this day, although I do not play D3 anymore, I still like the game only because of that experience. experience like that is what game developers should search for. such a shame there are botters who ruin the fun
That's a good story here! I was also suffering from impostor syndrome back when the leaderboards were implemented. I mainly played as support zbarb zcrus or zwd. It was probably the easiest way to join big leagues, but it required role familiarity and leadership. After many trials and errors, I was confident to push max levels and even try dps roles later. This helped me find a lot of friends around the world with whom I still keep in contact and it's probably the only reason for me to return to this game nowadays - to have some fun with friends in grifts or new seasons.❤
What are your thoughts on Diablo 2? Sorry if this has been asked multiple times. Great video by the way the most I've ever put into a game was a thousand hours and I thought that was mind-blowing lol
am ont here to say did you waste 1 year 1 month and 15 days and am assuming its more playing one game ? if you re a gamer then i have to ask how much do you weight and when was the last time did you see sunhine
Ask someone else I don't live in front of pc lmao 🤣 People who've spent 20k hours in dota, counter strike, or world of warcraft can disagree and they still don't look like cave men
nowadays the game I play got more complecated stuffs and system later on from being simple and I found they are so stressful to play. D3 is so simple that I like it. Come back home from work then just sit back relax and kill demons at home. Fantastic !
Daym, me and a friend started playing all the diablos, amazing how ez D3 is, we literraly had to change the difficulty to second last, in order to at least get hit by the enemies. And we are not even interested in the end game, just finish all diablos for the bucket list. Kinda dissapointing how easy it is now. I never knew there were times of D3 being challenging.
Really enjoyed this. I was a long time player of Diablo II and was stoked to get the sequel. Of course there was the shock when it was a very different game, but particularly after Reaper of Souls did I come to enjoy it. Even having played more “hardcore” ARPGs since then such as Path of Exile and Last Epoch, I still appreciate the arcade-like accessibility of tuning every couple seasons and just going hard for a week. But man you brought back stuff I had shut out of memory like the elite hunting for mats. Do you remember needing white items to craft onto early on in RoS?
Brings back good memories.. I remember when Loot 2.0 released because it nerfed my endgame demon hunter set items. My items went from being the best in game to complete junk. That’s when I stopped playing. Would love to hear your thoughts on D4.
its so weird seeing the pre-release ui, theres something almost liminal about it like, its bad but oddly eye catching like early ps1/2 japanese ui designs.
Diablo 3 doesn't have offline mode, unless you play on Consoles. You can play coach co-op even without the internet on the same screen. (PS, xbox) The only limitation I see is that there are no online leaderboards and Challenge Rifts.
I probably only have 100 hours in it. It scratches all my dopamine needs. I have no complaints. It’s a great game. I like when I play other games like Destiny and The Division and see how many things that they outright STOLE from Diablo with no shame.
Also Borderlands series. It's a good game, but yea, many games steal from each other 😅 btw I used to play Destiny 2. Solid shooter 👍, though farming xp and bright dust is a very repetitive routine.
Next thing will be added idle-mode where you can legally equip and send characters to conquer greater rifts! You doing tweaks to them etc. and when you want to clear rifts manually you can do it too. and im not being ironic!
I just got diablo 3 for my ps3 amd have always loved the diablo 1 and 2. Spent too many hrs on the game. So far ive played only a few hrs as my days are filled with other things. I will say this is so far for ke a good game.
I hope you finish the story mode before D4 release 😀It's totally worth it, even on Ps3, especially if you have a friend for couch coop. Sadly Ps3 is kinda old and the last content patch 2.1 was back in 2014. So no necromancer, or Kanai's cube. But still, it's a good experience. Happy farming 👍
Brosky, you made an awesome doc/review of one of the game I played more since I started gaming in 1987 :) Sub and like well deserved, you should start a small community in discord, I will be the first to join :)
Thank you for your warm feedback. 💪 I have my discord server ready, but it is not Public yet. I plan to open it once i reach 1k subs if that ever happens 😂
This is a good review to watch as a Diablo player, not as a person looking to play it, you should give a spoiler warning for the story just in case it ruins someone's experience
My god, this is such a good video, thanks for sharing your massive experience with us and keep on going! I love the calm nature of it and how you pull us through your journey, and I hope you get big here very soon! /instant-subbed
Waiting for my Prime Evil Collection to download while watching this. Will be playing Diablo III(and II) for the first time ever! I don't like the feeling of the possibility of messing up my build. Or having to do extensive research first just to nail that min-max optimal build. I can say I'm one of the target market for the streamlined leveling system.
I hope you enjoy this game, it is totally worth its price and amount of replayability 👍 Diablo 3 is much more forgiving than Diablo 2, but it doesn't make it a bad game 😎
@@Firzj Was always on the fence about Diablo III. It was lingering on my wishlist for a very long time. Finally settled to purchase after hearing from people like you who spent countless hours and still loving the game. I Appreciate the lengthy history lesson. Barely noticed the time pass by.
Thank you everyone who found and watched this video! ♥It's mind-blowing to see such numbers to me. Looking forward to the final Season 29 in D3 and more Diablo IV content.

i liked the overtuned asshole d3 was early. But it was a mess that you had to leave a game to use the auction house
*I am shocked that you played that much and that you are still alive. LoL!! I can't stand playing more than 2 hours at a time. Of any Diablo game. Back when D1 and D2 were current, I could pull all-nighters and continuously play. But not anymore. You are a gaming hero, bro.*

Good old times 😄♥️
Absolute respect for putting this much into D3. It defined my HS days along with Skyrim, Darksouls, Witcher and Dragons Dogma.
Same! 2013 I started Highschool and played Skyrim, DS1, & Diablo 3 all the time ! 10 years later I still do 😂
Good taste
The amount of effort you put into this video is staggering. It must have taken weeks... I loved every minute of it! Seeing how Diablo 3 has changed over the years is so crazy. I remember when Loot 2.0 came out and there were SO MANY LENGENDARIES. I was like a kid in a candy store. I haven't played in many years now, but I still look back fondly on Diablo 3. What an awesome game.
More like it took years
Agree
@@sherlock_homie more like decades
Loot 2.0 made everything so boring.

This was such a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Not really at your level of hours but I've played D3 since release. Totally maybe 4-5 k hours
People always get blinded by nostalgia.
Diablo 3 also has a special place in my heart, so much fond memories. Excellent review!
This video deserves a lot of more likes and support.
I hate there aint a solo self found ladder. You have no chance on the board, against people who blast 4mans 24/7. And i hate playing in grps
I have been waiting to someone to do this video for years. Thanks a loooooot. Very interesting
Soren, thank you for your feedback. I'm always happy to see your support here ❤
Very cool video, glad I watched it all. I loved the overarching history of D3 you were able to give
Thank you! I'm glad this video was helpful. I hope this wasn't too dragging or annoying in general 😅
Having played on both PC and multiple consoles, I can confirm that console play is really fun too.
I even dropped two useful primals and about 20 useless primals 😆
What I did notice, is once you have Paragon, you don't even need to powerlevel an alt.
Thanks for sharing the history and your experiences in such a detailed way. It's pure nostalgia, because I experienced most of them myself. ♥
Hated it the first few years now it’s one of my comfort games
Total respect for your devotion ! Very impresive
Examples? Here we go:
1) Blood shards at Kadala: items gambled are mainly useless blue/yellow, with an occasional useless legendary (playing on console; your experience on PC might be different)
2) Crafting items at the blacksmith: gambling primary and secondary skills, using valuable bounty mats
3) Kanai's Cube: arguably the most frustrating way of "reforging" in all of gaming.
Unfortunately, starting from S30, the gaming themes are going to be on repeat rotation. So no more new content, just some class/set tweaks at most
Incredible video. Thank you for bringing back a decade of memories
Thanks, great video, I was at every event you mentioned.
................ It's all right
.. you can keep it in every detail very much...
I spent a total of 2500 hours on D3.
I went through the experience Come like you .
I stop playing SS 5 . After about 5 years I came back to play SS26-28 I love this game so much it's still fun to play again..
Thank you for this video. See you at Diablo IV.
I still play, this and Warriors Orochi 3 are always on my xbox dont think I need D4 till the fun gets patched in like 3
I played this for the first 2 weeks it was out then moved on. Couldn't get into it but I will still try the new one.
That’s 35 hours a week, for a decade straight.
@@mitchtavio Yes. It's not even a brag, just citing my figures.
Just wanted to press F to you for 11k Hours on D3 one of my all time favs.
I traveled a similar road on Diablo 3
You have quite a few more hours than me I took a couple years off but you know you’re coming back my friend
Also I’d like to add Xbox is the most legit way to play no bots no save wizard no Moders on season because of the double encryption.
What a great video and well versed opinions. Thank you.
😎
What a great video man. I agree with every point you made regarding Diablo 3's long term issues. ESPECIALLY the paragon system. Infinite leveling just overall devalued the end game experience for me. The only bonus point I'd also add was that as a D2 fan I really enjoyed D1 and D2's atmosphere and dark art style much more. I am really stoked to see D4 will have a more grim look. Thanks for putting this together man. Well done!
Damn bruh, and I thought I didn’t have a life. I feel much better now. Thanks!
Don't worry, streamers will spend more time than me playing Diablo 🤣
Incredible video, I never thought I would sit through a 46-minute video review of a game I've played before. And you really made me buy a copy on Nintendo Switch to experience it again. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
Thank you for watching ♥️ I did my best to share my personal experience with this game
There was footage of D3 as early as 2008. I remember a friend of mine and I watching it together in a college dorm room that year.
I personally like the Switch version a lot, and with the release of Diablo Immortal, we now know Diablo 3 on Switch is the best mobile Diablo.
I like immortal
Switch version brilliant.
This is on sale in G2a for 10 dollars. Should i get it?
yes. it is worth every buck. It also includes necromancer pack if you purchase Eternal Collection bundle
I played through it once when Reaper of Souls was released and never felt the urge to go back again. I'm glad the game made people happy.
I played 1200 hours in 2 months when this got released, good times :D
so you played about 20hrs everday for 2 months straight ? bs talk
Is it worth to buy now in 22 im so confusing between this and d2 and now we have d4 soon and dlcs
I'd say yes, it is totally worth it. Even if you don't plan to play end-game, the story, sound design and cinematics won't leave you disappointed. Plus, before you buy, you can try the free version (half of entire act 1 is accessible) and up to level 20 (I think)
As for D2z it is also decent remaster, but the in-game mechanics are definitely outdated to modern standards 👍
@@Firzj thanks for answer bro now what about the prime evil collection is it worth or i can cancel this
@@knowwork9 it depends.
Great video
Wow, I just saw another documentary about Diablo 3, but Damn your is amazing too
The main problem with d3 for me is that most of the fun is in the leveling up process, trying differnet ger, seeing what woks, and scraping by, the moment you get a class set that basically says, "X skills now deals 5000000% more damage" the game becomes a slog with little to no gameplay variety, its always one or two damage skills, a mobility skill, a defense skill and a buff skill, getting to paragon 800 last season made wanna never look at the game again
@@Firzj I'll definitely be playing the main game to finish what I started but I'll think about it.
Been playing since 2015 but NEVER updated it until 2021 now that i figured out how to connect my ps4 to the internet and am still having a blast and tje game has improved drastically ever since i shall watch this review thoroughly
Awesome video, I can't imagine how long it must have taken you to make the whole thing! Keep it up!
man, what a great journey d3 was. i hate what it has become, absolutely miss vanilla and early RoS though
i played the game in 2018 with a few friends and it was really fun we spent maybe 100 hours or so playing it, but what killed it was seeing the hacked chars and items just rolling over everything in the game. it took the fun and challenge the game had. great game for me and got me into the series
I am watching this video in preparation for Season 27.
You sir - are a legend - thank you for this! I didnt play D3 for so much time. But still - I get returning to it, for all the reasons you have mentioned 😅
My goodness, 10K hours. You must be a beast at Diablo 3 by now 👊🏿
I bought diablo 3 eternal collection in a bundle with d2 resurrected when they were on sale together for 19 bucks. I haven't had the chance to play much of either of them yet but can I expect a nice enjoyable timesink? Maybe not 11,000hrs but a good couple hundred maybe?
Hundred hours for sure, but playing Public games and finding a group for leaderboards can be hard nowadays. Unless it's a new season, which begins soon (around September 15 or so)
You basically choose your own goals - play for achievements, ladder, best primal loot, seasonal journey or just paragon.
Just started playing this week it’s a good fun game for just chilling and smashing . Liking it so far
Thank you. I have reviewed D2 before and I have two videos on this channel where I share my opinion. In short - it's a good remaster
am ont here to say did you waste 1 year 1 month and 15 days and am assuming its more playing one game ? if you re a gamer then i have to ask how much do you weight and when was the last time did you see sunhine
Ask someone else I don't live in front of pc lmao 🤣
People who've spent 20k hours in dota, counter strike, or world of warcraft can disagree and they still don't look like cave men
nowadays the game I play got more complecated stuffs and system later on from being simple and I found they are so stressful to play. D3 is so simple that I like it. Come back home from work then just sit back relax and kill demons at home. Fantastic !
Awesome video, was a fun trip down a game I've never played lol
I loved every second of early RoS period. It was really challenging to find new stuff and level a character❤️
I love this video, it actually motivated me to start my first hardcore character! :)
Hey, I'm glad this video was helpful. Just don't die please 😂 Your deeds will be remembered 👍
Brings back good memories.. I remember when Loot 2.0 released because it nerfed my endgame demon hunter set items. My items went from being the best in game to complete junk. That’s when I stopped playing. Would love to hear your thoughts on D4.
its so weird seeing the pre-release ui, theres something almost liminal about it like, its bad but oddly eye catching like early ps1/2 japanese ui designs.
tbh I'd want to tryout 1.0 again inferno was nuts
Don't give blizzard ideas
I see it already coming in 5-10 years "diablo 3 classic remake, enjoy the game from it's beginning again!" lol
Can you make a little video or reply explaining the limits of offline mode please?
Diablo 3 doesn't have offline mode, unless you play on Consoles.
You can play coach co-op even without the internet on the same screen. (PS, xbox)
The only limitation I see is that there are no online leaderboards and Challenge Rifts.
@@Firzj yeah I have it for ps. Tyvm
I probably only have 100 hours in it. It scratches all my dopamine needs. I have no complaints. It’s a great game. I like when I play other games like Destiny and The Division and see how many things that they outright STOLE from Diablo with no shame.
Also Borderlands series. It's a good game, but yea, many games steal from each other 😅
btw I used to play Destiny 2.
Sounds like RosBot. This idle tool exist since 2014 🤔
I just got diablo 3 for my ps3 amd have always loved the diablo 1 and 2.
When Kriparrian and his friend killed Diablo, which difficulty was that equivalent to? Which monster power I mean later?
@@maxaffe3195 Difficulty levels have been changed many times. I think it was like Inferno Mp5 or Torment 6 in RoS.
Brosky, you made an awesome doc/review of one of the game I played more since I started gaming in 1987 :)
Sub and like well deserved, you should start a small community in discord, I will be the first to join :)
Thank you for your warm feedback. 💪
I have my discord server ready, but it is not Public yet. I plan to open it once i reach 1k subs if that ever happens 😂
This is a good review to watch as a Diablo player, not as a person looking to play it, you should give a spoiler warning for the story just in case it ruins someone's experience
Kinda sad that they ended up making everything easy enough, and not leaving things for the really skilled players to boast of...
Always going to cherish my achievement of that Diablo inferno kill
Good old times
Great video man
ahh the game that got me into pc gaming when I was 12.. Thank you dad for getting me to try it 10 years ago
