    While using the expression for MR (Moment of Resistance) Is it not essential to account for the amount of reinforcement in the tank wall? It's a RCC wall and not just a simple concrete wall. The equivalent concrete area of the reinforcement shall be accounted while finding the MR.

    How is maximum soil pressure in 2nd case 18 kn/m². Is it not 10.8 ?

      Case 2 is whwn the tank is empty.
      There will not be a water pressure, only soil pressure will bw there.

      Yes, I have the same question. You can't go from calculating the equivalent fluid pressure based on the friction angle in Case 1, and then just use the unit weight of the the same soil without considering depth and friction angle as the fluid pressure in Case 2.
