@@dyanberg6263 Your lesson embodies Stoic wisdom beautifully. Viewing rejection as an opportunity for solitude and self-reflection aligns with Stoic principles of focusing on what's within our control and finding contentment in solitude. Teaching your children this perspective lays a foundation for resilience and inner peace. Keep nurturing their understanding of Stoic principles, and may they continue to flourish.

Atm being quiet. Feeling hurt rejected but I'm staying close to me now.
Decided to not look for interactions with soneone else than the man who is low in communication.
I will just go through my pain and from experience time does heal.
He texts but I feel he only does this in his remaining space.
It's ok to not talk daily but it gives of a vibe of coming around only on his terms.
My last message was brief and suggesting to call next week.
He replied: no worries, you are sweet.
      Then again silence..
Im aware it's a combination of my own longings and soneone else's selfish/ nonchalant policy.
He started very closely and then decreased interaction.
I don't chase or pressure but if I can't move on with my day I have to express it to him which I did, inna polite way.
He reolied that he got caught up in his business again.
Fair enough but it feels like not considering other's feelings and when I take initiative or show a feeling he ignores it in his response. It's as if he started very emotionally expressive and now.he seems different.
I'm in a difficult stage of life myself at a crossroad and this man told me " you just need warmth love and a hug".
Then goes quiet again after telling me that he feels warm when he thinks of me and it feels like.we know eachother so long.
The contrast between close interaction and days of nothing is strange for me but I'm trying to learn and stay close to me.
      It makes me feel depressed.
I never called him bc I feel an unwritteb rule that I'm not allowed to.
He called me 3 times only in week 1.
Then went on vacation and now Busy with a business there. He said I should visit him but also he will fly back home soon so we can meet.
There are 2 scenario's: he is maliciously manipulating keeping me in a loop or he is genuine but distracted and this is who he is and it's upto me to cherish myself.
Tte hard part for me is I have been through a lot and I miss a simple hug.

Yesterday, after more than 30 years of what I've come to realise and finally accept was a selfish friendship, I have cut ties. This message of dignity and courage could not have appeared on my feed at a better, most needed time. Closing doors on all "fairweathers" as I walk through these current storms to wash away what no longer serves me and embracing the rainbows to come

Ending a long, selfish friendship takes great courage and self-respect. By closing doors on those who no longer serve your well-being, you're making space for positive growth and new opportunities. Embrace the rainbows that follow the storms, and know that your journey towards a more authentic and fulfilling life is truly admirable.

Wishing you peace and resilience on this new journey - you've got this.

Rejection is a part of life.we all go through it, and nobody is immune to it.but to engage in behavior that others push onto you(energy vampires, negative)only makes you as much like them as they are.Do yourself, life's to damn short to care what others feel, think,or do to you.ignoring them will make you the winner. You can refocus your life not being rude and unkind.i believe some what in karma....I call it.......sowing seeds.ive seen the worst people never reap karma.sooooo yep life's to short.
