Nice review. The lag fix makes the zen tables much more enjoyable. Glad atgames pushed through to improve it. Back to the future & attack from mars are my fave tables on this ALP 4K. Super fun.
The Zen tables have always run at less than 4K. The rest of the tables on the 4KP ARE at 4k, but the Zen tables admittedly are not. But they didn't reduce the resolution to fix the lag. The fixed tables and the laggy tables have the same resolution. The one table that may actually have better resolution after the fix is Star Trek:TNG. But all the other ones are the same.
I couldn’t stand the lag when I first got it. I could put up decent scores on it with lag but it just didn’t feel right. Now I’ll be back on it and hopefully put up some good scores! Hope to see you in the atgames zen tournaments 😊
I'll be honest with ya - I LOVE the Attack from Mars table, but if they had that Jurassic Park table available when I bought, I would have gone with the Jurassic Park. It's a gorgeous looking machine.
I agree its greatly improved. I actually have alot more lag on my OTG Zens than Native, and not sure why. I thought the powered USB Hub would cure it, along with the nvidia tweaks, Im thinking vsync setting is part of it, my gaming pc isnt chopped liver either, 12900k, 3080Ti. Great discussion on the fix and Wagners, he is a good egg.
Thanks Carlo! I do plan on doing some comparison stuff between the OTG and native tables! (Finding time is the hard part!) Appreciate you watching buddy!
Interesting video (as usual 🙂). I really like that this kit exists. It seems perfect to get into virtual pinball and you can level it up as much as you like. It's a pity it is not available worldwide (shipping costs too high?) so I feel lucky I built my own vpin.. Thanks for the video!
Not yet, but it's in the works! The hardest part is finding time! Between family time, hoop twice a week, comic books, PS5, retro gaming (emulators on PC), drawing, and whatever show we happen to be binging, it's getting harder and harder to make new vids, let alone PLAY pinball! LOLOL But I DO want to do that comparison, for sure!
They didn't. The Zen tables have always run at less than 4K. The laggy tables and fixed tables have the same resolution. Tables from non-Zen developers ARE at 4K (80% of their total lineup), and always have been.
I was once told you can live life looking for the good things and enjoying them, or looking for the bad things, and spend time complaining and unhappy.
Thanks for the Update! Have to hand it to AtGames, Zen, and Magic Pixel here!! (Heard this was a collaboration among all three to get the lag fixed)!😊
Hheeeyyyy, thanks blue!! Really appreciate the tip, man! Glad you enjoy the videos! And yeah, I'm thrilled they were able to work it out.
A Firefox line!! "Damned if he didn't actually do it." Nice touch!
YES!!! Hell yeah you got it!!!! Way to be, man! (one of my favorite old 80s Cold War movies!!!)
The new rebuilds are amazing. Great video as always!
Hey Papa Brad! It's encouraged me to get the Star Trek / Kong tables!

Right? Turned a real problem for them into a positive - I'm very happy about that!
And I agree, those are both great tables!
Thanks for the update! Let’s go!
😁 That was a fun multiball!
Lag free multi ball?! What more can I guy ask for? 😜 Let's go!
they reduced the resolution down to 2K That was their "FIX"

If you put up good scores with the Lag, you're gonna smash it now!!! Awesome!
Glad they fixed that. I really want the Star Trek table. I'm in the UK and they've got the Addams family but I'll hold out for the Star Trek one.

Depends if you use joytokey or other software for the buttons too. If you only use steam to map your buttons then there will be much less latency.
@@Leray21 Thanks, I'll give that a try!

Thanks man! I love your setup too - it's dynamite! Thanks for hangin' out!
Been awhile. Didn’t know you got the 4k table!
Hey Fleejay! Thanks for stopping back in again!
Please take a moment to catch up on some vids you may have missed!
You’ll never fully get rid of the lag with a 60Hz playfield.
Did you happen to do a test comparison of the atgames download compared to the steam FX download? Lag difference, looks, or anything else?

Neat

I read that they had to lower the tables resolution to 1440p or like 1280p to reduce the lag.
Whatever they did worked great! I can't tell from1440 to 1280 without zooming in way close (shrug).
They didn't. The Zen tables have always run at less than 4K. The laggy tables and fixed tables have the same resolution.
You forgot to mention they fixed the lag by "upgrading" the 4K to 2K.........FAIL!

Yes, anyone who criticizes the alp 4k is just complaining and unhappy. Makes sense!
