wanted to try out queued input (basically makes low fps play more viable) on my pi pico xplorer so i loaded up a classic download here • GH3 Custom Solo Compil...
It's honestly incredible looking back on some of these solo sections and watching you grind them on stream years ago, the penger section definitely hit different watching you play that flawlessly.
I feel it's been a while since you've played (or at least uploaded) some fucked up stuff (that isn't because of a tighter engine, since that visually isn't as impressive to a dumbass like me) so it's fun to see you playing this shit :) Still love how clean your playing is. Very nice to watch. Tracking ghost inputs is so nice for showing that.
do you know how much of an effect queued input has on console stuff? could it possibly make RB3 stuff easier, or would it be a coin toss whether it helps or screws the player?
I totally meant to try queue input on console last night. If any theory comes to mind is that it’ll poll as properly as 5ms with the standard input method. But I’ll get back to you on discord if I find anything interesting
@@moreacai9321 the one thing i imagine it affecting positively is making rake strum more consistent, as for everything else it'll probably be as you said
@@GoulartGH So I think it's because unlike how clone hero is based on frames for your input, the code is able to read inputs at the high tick rates that an arduino kit can produce. And when there's a change to the input, the code remembers that change and queues it (hence the name). And as frif said, when your pc and CH asks for the state of the input on each poll. It reads the next input in the queue, and not the raw input of it. And you're able to configure the rate of the queue itself, which according to frif, can replicate the playing of a high fps, while still at a low fps. The main controversy is that people are saying it puts stock guitar users at a disadvantage due to what I just mentioned like not being based purely fps. So I hope that makes sense.
@@BossAydan i understand - thanks for the explanation. however, arduinoing a guitar itself already increases polling rate massively, so if that was a concern, they'd have to consider arduino itself to be controversial lol
the random old jarvis chiptunes think they on the team 😭😭
man, we need mashups like this with contemporary customs

you hit 7:55 that all it matters
Is there any easy place to get these on CH or is it just more convenient to convert them all from GH3 instead?
Also i love how immortal solo got nerfed to hell and back with taps, then later on is a strum chord in the machine right after inv 2 solo 😭
also nvmd on the question, just found them in no1mann's setlist lol
wait my decade old laptop can finally ch at 190 fps and actually do silly shit now?
Did you know that the guy that has first on this leaderboard is a famous RUclipsr?!
hey acai, whats your camera?

This man is built different
"Basically makes low FPS play more viable" *still has nearly 500 FPS*

I think it’s the arduino thing that Frif uses that some people find controversial
