No matter which salon I went to, and I tried many, my nails would hurt for days after getting them done, even when I tried just dip powder. I had enough and learned how to do them myself. There are always things to learn, which is why I love watching your videos!
Absolutely love an Anastasia notification!!! Your way of teaching is so wonderful since you really do step by step. Thank you so much for truly caring about teaching!!! Lots of love as always!!!

People complaining about the nail prep being painful are the same people who will expect to get world class service and pay $20. Quality dictates the price. This is the also a reason they get lifting, allergies, and painful nails. Pay the price or learn how to do it by yourself.
I have to admit that my friend, for whom I do nails, is exceptionally sensitive. I move left, "Ouch!" I move right, "Ouch!" I'm saying, "Sorry!" or "I'm so sorry," a lot.
She said in the video that people say it's painful to watch. I personally skip that bit because seeing things look like they're going under the cuticle is uncomfortable to watch.
Getting world class service and pain free service are two different things. Plus, I don’t know anywhere you can get much for $20 but whatever it can buy should be quality and pain free.
Yeah I am going to disagree with you because nail prep shouldn't hurt .. I stopped getting my nails done because my nail tech hit my finger with the drill because she had it up to high and cut my finger I was bleeding pretty bad .. I never went back it's been 5 years I have been doing my own nails ..
I have an e-file because my skin is so dry (thus hangnails everywhere) and my favorite part of my week is when I take the flame bit or ball bit and exfoliate off all those hangnails and callouses near my fingernails. I have extremely sensitive skin and this is the most relaxing thing.
Thank you so much I've been having issues with lifting and seeing this step by step I feel confident in trying again ☺️ your videos are always a step above everyone else because you explain everything so well ❤
Oh, you don't have to buff the surface of the gel extension before placing polish? Thanks for the tip! I love the tip to also use base coat at the gap near the cuticle instead of filing. I will try both of these tips next time.
The Modelones gel tips are the only full cover gel tips that fit my extra wide club thumbs plus my nail beds are flat. I know these tips aren’t as strong as others, but extre stra strength top coat they get very sturdy and strong.
I got ridiculously excited when I saw you got color in the “cuticle” area…😉 Not in a malicious way but it’s just really nice to see another pro make little mistakes here and there instead of always seeing multi-take perfection🤣 Thank you for yet another delightful video 😘😘
Sadly I am hyper sensitive! It's really hard to find a nail tech who understands how to be really gentle, plus having to exercise that extra control in being gentle would be exhausting. My advice for other people who have this same issue, make your appointment the first of your nail tech's day! This way they'll be fresh, strong and would not have had too much coffee by this point 😁👍
You forgot to prep the gel tip, it has to be filed or buffed with a buffer pad to prevent the gel polish from peeling. That’s the most important part of the process. ❤
Hello, how are you? I am a regular viewer of your RUclips channel. I came here to say that- Your content is always engaging and incredibly well-presented!" Good luck to you.
I’m really lost on how to use Gel X on former-trapezoidal + curvy-apex-nails 😢 I file my nails for years now into an almond shape, but with my nails the almond starts very low. This means, that the side walls of my nail start to form inwards around half of the nail. But with extensions I don’t know how to handel the following: in the cuticle area I try to determine the right size, but then the form is mostly to „wide“ in the whole middle area of my nail. Bluntly speaking: my nails are „almondy-rhombus“ (I hope the explanation is understandable 😂). On top of that: I guess I have a curvy apex, because for example the modelones extensions leave a 2-4mm gap at the upper part of my nail. That gap needs to be filled with glue, which looks odd, and it also makes no sense to shorten the Gel X in the cuticle area because then they get to thight in the front half. Would be great if you have tips or a Video/short that I just haven‘t found 🙈💛 or do I just file them into the shape of my nail? (Althought I would prefer another method, because it makes the Gel X look very weird / too narrow in the long run) PS: I‘m using the same Gel X like mentioned
How can I cut down my nail prep time? What is the average time per nail supposed to be? I went to Aveda and they taught us 3 to 5 minutes per nail and then I watched a lot of these nail videos on RUclips and 80% of these nail tech are not even doing Nail prep cutting cuticles or even pushing them back is that how come they set take an hour and mine half in 2 1/2
Watching cuticle prep is my favorite part of every video! It's so satisfying!!
Exactly 😊
Same I need a whole compilation 😂
Mine too I learn something every time.
I loved this design! Thanks for the tip to apply base coat after the stickers and then top coat 😮❤

What does it mean when you have a drill bit that has 2 different colour bands on it for the abrasive markings?
Great video and set as always! ❤

Is there a difference in cutting the cuticles with the electric file and cutting them with nail nippers or nail scissors? ❤
Thank you
Do you have links to the bits you use? I'd love to have them
This modelones set , will it work with modelones poly nail extension gel? Or do l need to buy another set ?thank you
Do you mean if you can use it on top
Of polygel ? Of course ! This kit includes only gel polishes , but you can order polygel separately
@@Nailcou thank you so much , one thing that l don understand which chemicals doesnt go with any of the poly gel or acrylic or ?????
I honestly thought the picture in your thumbnail was of AI nails that you were going to replicate lol ❤️💚
