- Saw Maxwell for frist time at encore theater last night 🌙 had the time of my life with my good friend Linda Adams we sure do know how have a good time I enjoyed every bit of the show thanks again #Maxwell put on a fantastic performance last night made everyone night special 08/11/2023 hopefully he comes back next year

One thing I notice about him is his ability to carry falsetto notes is waining. That's not his fault of course, but a fact of nature for as we age, our voices will change through both atrophy of throat muscles and aging. Also notice he didn't sing my favorite song 1990X which most of that song was originally sung in falsetto range. More power to him though for his is becoming a lost art; rappers have now taken over and that to me is not good. Yes I am old school; i.e. Ojays, Blue Magic, Isaac Hayes, Barry etc.

1990x wasn't in his set during this tour. He actually has more control and a more powerful and resonant falsetto now then in the past. People just prefer nostalgia.
