Natalie was an underrated character, and being fair, as much as I loved Jack and Vera, she was very fair in giving them time to sort themselves out, trying to keep them on the payroll. They had some money (a fair 30k) from when they sold the other half of the Rovers to Alec.
Absolutely agree! Very polite too. And yes, they had £30k to buy or rent somewhere else. I guess it was always in their nature, as per script, to feel their not born with a silver spoon in their mouths upbringing and situations (plus no natural tendencies to upgrade... night classes or something) and so they felt they had to keep a tight grip on whatever they were Endowed. Quite normal I suppose. Plus, them always going at each other, didn't exactly help bring in the blessings.
Aww bless Bryan Mosley. He looks extremely ill here. I know he died a month later in real life but it's still bad to see him looking like this and not his old self
RIP Bryan Mosley. Great actor and corrie Legend. The return of Sharon Gaskell was great but a shame how she departed. A big year ahead and huge changes for Corrie.
Hard to believe someone as straight forward as Alf would have let the insurance expire. OK he was doing it year by year but I believe he would have renewed it before expiry every year. He wasn't a foolish man. Even if he renewed it on Jan 1 every year I still doubt he would have risked a few hours uninsured. He would have had the call made on 31 December.
The Duckworths can be good people but Vera just can't help herself. They charm their way into jobs and then show their true colours once they are in. She was very harsh to Natalie. Imagine if Vera had bought the Rovers and Bet and Alec were laying about refusing to move out. She would have caused war.
Nice beginning for Alison. Kev is being nice and isn't yelling , or in her face YET. Give it time.AND Vera, keeps digging her own grave. Stupid is as stupid does....that's Vera..cocking it up and blaming everyone else.
OMG I couldn't agree more! He conveniently forgets he was the one who pulled his family asunder in the first place, although with his whiney bitchy little temper Sally most likely would have strayed eventually and who could blame her? Kevin Webster is a knob, always was and always will be. How the hell is he Bill's son?
In all fairness if you look at the Big picture, they both have put it around a bit over the years 👍 and both of them are annoying at the Best of times. Luckily it's fiction.
You guys are insane, Sally is not only unbelievably vindictive and spiteful but she put her daughters in a horrible and dangerous environment because she cared more about her own wants than theirs. I mean she left Kevin for a alcoholic conman who beats her so she’s thick as pigshit as well.
Ken likes to think he would be doing Deirdre a favour by getting back with her. Kevin and Sally get on my nerves, poor Rosie looks like she hasn't slept in a month.
Audrey got more than enough. A house that's too big for one, which she can sell, get something more modest and have extra cash. She got a business, a car and some cash in the bank.
Good time girl Audrey loved Alf so much she didn’t even notice he’d died. To this day I can’t understand what he ever saw in her. Revolting shallow woman.
Sally really is two-faced plus wants her cake & eat it, when she was seeing Chris Collins the girls wernt her priority when he was going in the back door at night then the front door in a morning. Then when she took Kevin back coz thats what she wanted it didn't take long for Greg Kelly to turn her head & back to her old tricks again this time putting her kids in danger, now Kevin has found some happiness with Alison Sally doesn't like it, the girls can't go on holiday coz she's jealous. Grow up Sally its not a playground. Should of thought about what you'd got before going off again. Only got yourself to blame
Don't councilors get a salary/stipend? And Audrey has the proceeds from the hair salon plus she can live above her shop. And she has enough clothes to last ten lifetimes 😅
Sally's letter from Kevin's lawyer was a total mystery until she opened it and read who it was from. Because lawyers never have their company names printed all over their stationery. Riiiight.
Are people that disgusted by Christmas pudding? I don't think I've had an authentic one, but I did have "Christmas cake" when I was little in Canada and it was fine. I would take strawberries and ice cream or a banana split first, but still.
The insurance company could argue that nobody spotted him till after midnight the coroner wouldn't mark his time of death as accurate as a couple of minutes say 23:58 so he/she would put time of death after midnight.
Audraaaah saying Alf liked other men fancying her and she never gave them the slightest bit of encouragement BAHAHAHA nope. She was horrible to Alf his whole life, cry more 😂
It doesn't matter whether Nick is reasonable or not, whether he sees Leanne's POV or not. She will always pick a fight, be unreasonable and reject what he says because she's a selfish, immature cow who thrives on conflict and can't resist flouncing out of the room.
I love how Gay-yul descends into incensed bhict mode just because Roy talked shop a day or two after Alf died. I think she reacted that way because it dawned on her her apathy toward the business was coming to its full fruition, with Roy moving on and Gay-yul exiting the business - which involved screaming her head off at Alma or somebody every other day for 15 years.
i don't recall Sally "walking out on them girls," but rather having sex after-hours with her boyfriend at work across the street and finding the locks changed when she tried to get in the house. She got a little more than her retribution for cheating on Kevin.
@@SuzyQ334 Didn’t Rita have to buy the Kabin back from Sharon after she had given it to her for a wedding present. She also came back a few years ago to dig up info when she was part of her nephew’s drug ring.
Kevin is a hypocrite , as is his annoying wife Sally. Anyone who watched their introductions would wonder what happened to them. I am not sure if they became horrible through the experiences of life or they are a product of the desire we have to watch appalling human behaviour unfolding on tv. This began in the soaps rating wars of the late 90's. Jean Alexander -Hilda Ogden, probably the best Corrie character ever, foresaw this when she left in 1987.
Well, it would have bought you a house (just about) in a location like Coronation Street in the 1990s. Many people would say that if you had the money to buy a property without a mortgage, you weren't badly off.
Vera @ Jack Duckworth out @ nowhere 2 go. 😮😮😢That just takes the cake 🎂!! I must admit, Vera’s sharp tongue 👅 gets them into lots of trouble 😈! 4:50:24
The end of an era... RIP Bryan Mosley. As Alf Roberts he was right up there as one of the Corrie greats.
Totally agree 👍
Great Actor Remember Him Well In Corrie He Was Also In Classic UK 70s Film 🎥 Get Carter With Michael Caine
Agree he was a great actor!
Totally. Love Alf/Bryan. RIP
Certainly was
Always loved Alf especially him and Rennie. A great actor has gone a couple of decades now but never forgotten.
Also well remembered for his role in the brilliant Michael Caine film Get Carter! ;-)
Corrie was great in this era
Fantastic Acting so gritty thanks for putting this on RUclips.
Very sad to see Alf go. Bryan Mosley played him so well throughout.
Absolutely! A bona fide Corrie legend!! RIP Bryan!
So True Great UK Actor
Coronation Street : where you have a 90% chance of dying, getting married, working at the Rovers, or being rogered by Ken.
Or going to Blackpool for a break.
😂😂
Or Jim screaming at liz😂
Oh poor Alf, Absolute Corrie legend!!!😀🎬
Good old alf.he was worth ten of the gold digging, selfish and heartless Audrey. Horrible women.rip alf.

I'm glad Alf didn't leave Audrey money. She treated him like crap.
His funeral was the first time I don’t remember Audrey wearing a hat. She was always finding an excuse to go shopping.
She was a gold digger, he died peniless because of her, cant stand her
I know right. He gave her everything when he was alive and she still was not happy.
glad alf left Audrey nothing she treated him like dirt he deserved better she was a right slapper .
She treated him like a cash

Even the way he spoke, you could tell he wasn't well. Good on him for staying till the end, but still so sad seeing him so close to the end irl.
Yay!!! Thank you for these!!
I'm getting fed up with the Sally and Kevin storyline.

Thank you 🎉💗
Ahh thanks very good of you ⭐️
With people like Les in hospitals there needs to be cctvs installed 😊
Kevin turned his nose up to Italian once, preferring the same-old, same-old, but suddenly he is OK with taking out Chinese for Allison.
Audrey really got worse and worse with Alf as time went on. She never seemed to appreciate anything he did for her.
Roy's got Steve doin the Reno's for him, EH? Boy is he screwed!!!

Did Fred Elliott have a go at Sally’s hair with his butchers knife?
Ken should have mentioned that his Dad worked with Alf at the sorting office.
Now there is a long term fan!
Les looks a right prat in Jack's coat and scarf.
Les lowlife confronted Sally over he no good thug son, like father like son

Alf a real star luv to him
"The geuls! the GEULS! I am PIG-SICK of hearing about 'the geuls'"! (just borrowing a reaction from Josie (Don's last firlfriend).
Due to Fred Elliotts sonic booming voice, surely a lot of these characters were able to put in claims for industrial deafness.

His booming voice made me laugh! Loved the man.
