Love jamming to these classic tunes with my co-worker buds! When I hear the velvety smooth voice of Loggins and Phil all the stressors just melt away. I’m 29 years old, live in Zootown USA. Keep it rockin y’all
A Trivial FACT : By putting THIS MUSIC in the Workplace and keeping it playing in the background, you will Increase Production and Sales, and believe it or not You will see a decrease in lost hours due to Illness and Injury in the workplace... It produces an Increase in Creativity and the absorption of information and Comprehension..... It just makes you feel good 👍👍👍
dont ruin this great music with jibber jabber of the work place... if you tell my employer about this, we are going to have words..... I actually feel less productive as I listen to this while I am working from home and smoking that herb... puts me at peace, then asleep... makes the work day go by faster when you sleep thru 4 hours of it....
I am a Boomer, and I love this channel! These remarkable old tunes bring back so many diverse memories I go from smiling to having my old eyes well up with tears from those fond and not-so-fond recollections. The 1970s were meaningful to all of us old Boomers ... most of us were just going out on our first dates in the 60s and 70, and many of these songs were what we heard on those first dates. I miss those days! So, here's to all of my Boomer Brothers and Sisters, God Bless and be with you all in our much-maligned and misunderstood generation! (EDIT, New Sub here from The Netherlands!)
Just discovered/found this channel. It’s almost 4am here in nyc. Been in and out this channel since yesterday. This is amazing cool and very much needed vibes in 2024. Before cell phones, before MTV (back when MTV actually played music videos) and radio has playing hits and someone else’s favorite song. You had to have a great voice and stage presentation and musicians who played instruments. As a person listened to the radio and brought vinyl albums and 45’s singles, sometimes you discovered a hidden treasure on the flip side on the 45 single. Thank you for this channel and you super chill music and vibes.
GEN X here, this music is so great!!. Reminds me sitting in my dads office when he would write out menu's for his restaurants for the week(my family was in the restaurant business 40 years) and dad would be on his 2nd pack of Kents for the day. I would give anything for that moment back....
Such great memories! Another boomer who misses this era of music. This was a time when people used their vocal chords to communicate, instead a plethora of insignificant social media websites and text messages to interact with each other.
Aloha Frank ~ indeed music brings me (us) joy. We are firm believers that everyone deserves music and more joy in their lives. Truth! Mahalo for your kind words 😊🎶🤙🏽💃🏽
I grew up in the 70's with the best music ever produced, The American Top 40. Thank you so much for bringing it back. I found your page a few days ago. I listen to it every morning setting up at work. Again, thank you.
All of your yacht rock compilations are a wonderful trip down memory lane! I just drove from South Carolina to Colorado and back and had your videos streaming on my radio. Great way to pass the time. Keep on spinning!
Yeah and she keep sailing the music way beautifully and making us old folks very happy especially early morning and the afternoons when the sun starts going down and we meet to drink a little out the homes at porches of stores corners to drink and talk a little. ❤
Good now buy a dozen of beers place them on ice and hit to Saguaro National Park north hills and keep playing her channel and listening washing the sun goes down and coyotes and rabbits running in the desert in from of you. When you return home in late afternoon you will exclaim Thanks God for let me live this marvelous day.😊
I was born in the late 60's so grew up with all of this music. You've done an amazing job putting together these compilations - one of the best I've come across!! Your energy is definitely genuine and brings such an awesome vibe to these memorable tunes. Much love and gratitude and peace to you 💫
Aloha Kelly. Mahalo for your beautiful comment. Indeed, I do enjoy the compilations and it is with great care we choose each song for every playlist. 🎶💃🏽🤙🏽
I am a millenial(Almost 31 years old in 2 weeks from today.) But I love this playlist. Reminds me of the music my mom played on her record player when I was growing up. And the music she played on road trips. I have vivid memories of first hearing "Kiss on My List" in the eighth grade on a road trip to Virginia. My mom had a massive stroke on September 27, 2020 and can no longer drive. But she listens to this type of music. We currently live 6 1/2 hours from each other. But this playlist makes me feel just a little bit closer to her.
Aloha. We are so sorry to hear of your mom's health challenges; we hope she can enjoy the music mixes too as we all know music is comforting and healing. Your kind words mean so much. Mahalo for sharing.
I LOVE this DJ!!! I'm sitting down to work and I always pick Yacht Rock, cuz I'm a 70's girl!!! DJ has a great list and I love watching her dance! I say dance more!!!! Best playlist IMO of Yacht Rock!!! Others have such sappy music!!!
Apparently, I’m now considered Generation Jones. I was born in 1962. Too young for The Boomers and too old for the Gen X’ers. I was raised in a bar in Wisconsin from 66 to 80. A lot of these songs take me back to the Juke Box blaring in the beer garden and the kids from the neighborhood racing our bike around the parking lot at night. There were speakers on all four corners of the bar. Damn good times!
I will like to see better details of her face. Only seeing is part of her body the hair and all the untied dresses😂❤ her selection of songs and records is great.
You're very welcome! Thank you for loving that song as much as we do. England Dan & John Ford Coley are so unappreciated as writers and musicians. Their arrangements, playing, production and writing were all extraordinary. Mahalo for watching and commenting!
Heard about yacht rock a couple years ago but tbh I never stopped listening to this music. I think it's kinda funny that people are saying "I haven't heard these songs in years'. I just assumed all GenXers ( like me) & even boomers were rocking their classic rock and easy 70s, 80s playlists all these years. Some of these tracks are not on my playlists but many are. That being said, with the exception of a few handful of songs that I didn't like then or now, the majority of these yacht playlists are stellar. Well done!!
I have discovered that this music releases endorphins in my brain and produces a peace that is hard to find in this world. Thank you. Keep up the great work. Dr. A.
Hi Z-Bear. Watching you getting the songs set on the platters and seeing how much you love what you are doing is great. You are a delight to watch and of course your song choices are fabulous. Hope my wife and I get back to Hawaii sometime in the near future. Take care and keep the music playing. Aloha
Thank you very much !!! - yesterday I found your Yacht Rock Compilations - and all on vinyl - this is absolutely awesome !!! - I really like this sound - also I often listen to Classicrock Music - I hope you keep on Rockin' !!!
Great stuff. This was during an era when music was at a crossroads (late 70s-early 80s); disco was fading away and mainstream musicians were putting out soft rock/pop ballads. At the same time, New Wave was also on the scene and even country music was on top 40 radio.
Great description of this era! It was an amazing time. At no other period in pop music history could you hear artists as diverse as Kiss, Juice Newton and Earth, Wind & Fire all played within a half hour on the same radio station.
What an excellent mix! Your mellow and genuine vibe is exactly what I needed today. And I see that you have more videos, truly a great find. Thank you!
Awesome..just spent 220 nights on our boat in the Bahamas this winter, now we are home and just found your channel. Will be ready for the next cruising season this fall. Consider us big fans. Love your product, style and commitment! J & C aboard Chasing28 .
A lot of the tracks you have played are not true AOR but as the kids call it these days “yacht rock” dig deeper than the obvious. There is so much out there. I have a very large collection myself. It is a genre I grew up with and a time I grew up in. A lot f of the songs you played would actually be considered seventies soft rock /pop genre.. not yacht. I remember the songs when they came out and were on heavy rotation on AM radio .
Such a great song. What's so interesting is that while he is an absolute legend in the UK, Cliff Richard has been almost completely forgotten in the US.
At first I didn’t know what yacht rock was but now I do and I love it. I am 69 born in 55 the 3 bears have taken me through the 50s, 60s, and now the 70s and I’m not through by any means. There are many things that I want to see and hear and I want to hear them right here
I love this playlist. It takes me back to the 90's when I was an investment broker in New York. We used to take my yacht to Fire Island and drink Moet from morning til evening, listening to these tunes. I was on top of the world-everything I did turned into gold. Unfortunately I lost it all in a currency deal involving the Thai Baht. Options trading...as one would. Anyway, I still have the memories....
Great stuff! My friends and I stay up until all hours of the morning watching your channel-- particularly the Yacht Rock stuff. Thanks for the good times! I feel like you've been our personal DJ some nights! Thanks again!

You are very welcome. Mahalo for watching. We really appreciate it! We have a new Yacht Rock video coming this week with more to follow soon. Stay tuned...
For years and years It's been a New Years Eve tradition for me🎈to play 'Year of the Cat'.. I don't remember how it started but the song now feels like a family member to me
Fantastic playlist and a great job of presentation. I enjoyed the hour break from reality very much as your playlist took me back to a happier time in my life and I appreciate it. I had most of this list on 8-track back in the day and appreciate all the care and effort you put into bringing back to us!
Just amazing! I was born in '63. These were the tunes of my hs and college days. I have Sirius Xm and this blows their Yacht Rock channel away. Just in awe at the sheer volume of vinyl you have. And the condition it's in... Outstanding channel. Outstanding music!
I'm a Boomer, born in 1954. This music is the soundtrack of my life. Thank you!!!!!!
Born in 55. I know exactly what you mean. I listen to Z-Bear's Yacht Rock over and over.
you're welcome. Glad you're not on drugs!
Me too !! 1953
Me too!
“You're gonna need a bigger boat”
"Try chumming some of this shit"

I play it on my headset at work.
I love that Pete Townshend gets a spot on the yacht.
Absolutely! Even those British Rockers can loosen up and put on a swimsuit every so often 😂
I grew a mullet and a stache just listening to this. Then I put on my aviators, went and bought a silver 1980 T-Top 'Vette.
Omg! We are literally laughing our a--es off here at the villa! Mahalo for bringing enjoy joy to our day.
No you didn't..

I spent a day (OK an hour, lol) in a airport bar at LAX talking with Al Stewart, Year of the Cat. Nice as can be, he has great stories!
That's so cool! Al was quite the significant artist in the 70s even though he is not as known by younger audiences today.

You’re collection of the greatest 70’s/80’s vinyl earned you a sub
Wish I found this 2 yrs ago!❤
All the songs you're playing are good, but Nicolette's "Lotta Love", is still one of my favorite songs of all time.
Al Stewart and his music just make the world a better place.
All of your yacht rock compilations are a wonderful trip down memory lane! I just drove from South Carolina to Colorado and back and had your videos streaming on my radio. Great way to pass the time. Keep on spinning!

Ah, the sound of real vinyl!
We agree! Even the pops & clicks are part of the experience that makes listening to vinyl so unique.
I grew up in the 70s. 80s, and i love the 70s sound. The 80s not so much. It changed in a glossy way
Best music in history was from 1964-1982 -- Rick Beato.
Smooth - so good - so rad as we said in the day 👌
Mahalo, Adam! You are rad too for watching and commenting!

I'd Really Love to See You Tonight is my #1 song - thanks for adding it.

All I can say is STELLAR with this playlist!
Mahalo, Fred! We appreciate you.

I'd never heard it before and I had to go looking for it because there is no play list. Good song!
This is my first listening to your spins~ Fine job. Thank you for being perfectly on point. I will find more.
Welcome to the channel, Lisa! We appreciate you listening.
You deserve more credit
Just heard the term "Yacht Rock" for the first time this evening. Random YT search and click and unexpectedly I run into childhood. Late-70s/80s kid.

Thanks so much for this mix. I've probably played this 100 times over the last few months. Good vibes are helping!

Pete Townsend though.....Soooo good!! I am so happy I found your channel. Can't even listen to the radio anymore. I am officially OLD!! 😂🤣😂
