guys sorry about the static noise on this video i didn't realize until after upload , it was caused by the studio light i am using....now it's fixed..it was a frequency issue.

I was wondering if my old chromebook screen could be made into a lightbox, this is great! Some of the other uses are neat too, thanks so much for sharing this!

i think there is a way but i haven't tried it...i know the "DIY PERKS" channel has done a similar thing with laptops...his channel is featured on my channel at the "channels" section

I did the same thing with a Samsung monitor, but it keeps looking for source input, and then it turns it self off after maybe 3 min, is there a fix how to disable the looking for the source?

So you did not remove the screen part of the layers which if you're doing whats on this video, you should not be able to see any kind of info at all...keep in mind...doing what i did in this video, will forever destroy that monitor as a "monitor"...let me know if you're sure you want to do that.

How to stop the "sleep mode"? I have a lg monitor that turns off after 15 secs.

it should not go to sleep mode if you have it connected directly...but if it does so...you might have to remove the "connectors" board...where it has your vga or hdmi ports, might need to be removed so you're turning on only the lights part of the monitor without the chip thinking you're not connected.
