@@typebea I'm definitely going to enjoy it! My first build and I just lubed my switches yesterday in preparation for the case arrival lol I had a question about this particular case before I receive mine. Is there an insert for the 2.4GHz USB inside the keyboard or does it come entirely separate from it?
@@inserthere44 I can feel the excitement brewing! Which switches did you go for? As for the 2.4ghz receiver, it came separately for me which to be honest I prefer because it doesn’t mess around with the board’s aesthetic and feels a bit more premium that way
@@typebea OOOOOOH I'm suuper excited, I've been checking my package tracking almost every day now lol. Since it's my first custom keyboard I'm going fairly budget so as not to mess up any expensive switches when lubing 😅 so I've opted for the Gateron Milky Yellow Pros to start. Hopefully, as time goes on I'll upgrade them Edit: Also, i hope you don't mind me asking all these questions but, have you used the Lucky65 software for the RGB mapping? I've looked at a few videos of it and it does look a fair bit confusing so I'd just like to know how it is from your perspective. All of the questions aside I just want to say that for someone with only 76 subscribers, you have *amazing* video quality and direction and as someone who works as an editor, your videos are top notch and they'll only get better from here! @@inserthere44 that’s actually a really good and safe option for switches. If you’re looking to upgrade in future, try any hmx or bsun switch - they’re such a good bang for your buck and come perfectly pre-lubed 😌 I haven’t tried remapping the rgb because I personally don’t use rgb at all (eyes are sensitive and personal aesthetics) but there are loads of pre set rgb modes to choose from anyway. Can’t comment on the software though as I haven’t tried it myself. Also thanks so much for the words of encouragement, means a lot 🥹

My unit had no issues but it’s likely the stabs being overlubed if you have that issue so try disassembling the spacebar stab and remove some of the lube and that might help. Alternatively try a different spacebar and switch to rule out any issues
@@typebea yeah you don’t understand that foam entirely removes the uniqueness of each switch sounding different but you can keep building your blocks of foam ig
@@icedwatr what you are failing to understand is that the whole hobby is about preference. I have boards that sound amazing with foam and without. You can also remove the foam from the build if you so wish which is why they make it so that you can open up the case. If you’ve tried enough switches then you’ll know that regardless of foam, different switches sound and feel different as they are built with different materials with varying operating force and spring weights but I don’t fault you if red, blue and browns are the extent of your switch library. Bought myself the black anodised version of the barebones kit. Super excited to build this baby!
Black ano is a solid choice and I hope you enjoy your build as much as I did 😊
