Significance of Fasting During the Month of Rajab

Rajab is one of the four sacred months mentioned in the Quran (Quran 9:36), and some scholars believe that the general virtues of the sacred months apply to Rajab as well. These virtues include increased rewards for good deeds and increased punishment for sins. Some Muslims also fast during Rajab as a voluntary act of worship.
