Im not a rapper, but rapping has been a kinda speech therapy for me. I grew up in a kinda shitty environment, drugs and bikers around all the time and always moving, so for years I wouldn't really talk much because no real friends and leff me fucked up mentally for a long time, people always told me to speak up or had a hard time understanding the words I said because I never really had a voice. A few years ago I started listening to eminem and just kept trying to keep up and enunciate it probably, now I can actually speak properly.

Writing a song is the easy part. lol
Not bad advice. But I would rather you take out syllables to improve your cadence and musicality. Word/Syllable choices should aesthetic more than mechanical. But like I said this is still really good advice.
BTW Jay Z just probably edited out the breaths. Its a coming practice in engineering. Conversely, Method Man had the best INTENTIONAL breaths I've ever heard in hip hop.

why not just use your diaphragm like singers do. Ideally if you open your rib cage and use proper diaphragm support you can do a lot of things.
