    Program Notes:
Triedre translates to "trihedron" in English, but this trihedron cannot exist in the so-called Euclidean geometry. The minimum unit for making a surface is a triangle, which has three vertices. Another vertex is needed to make a solid with four sides. However, this trihedron can exist in a sphere with curved faces. A familiar example is the ginkgo nut. Gingko has a curved dihedral or trihedral shell!
Now, a leap of faith explanation.
The work is composed of three short pieces from parts of church melodies and others containing many tension chords that are clearly tonal. The first song is primarily a theme with a mixolydian melody. The second is an interlude with Phrygian and Doric melody as the main melody. As in the first one, a tonal section containing tension chords is inserted in the middle of the piece. The third piece differs from the previous ones in that it is a melody, but not a church melody, rather a so-called "limited transposed melody No. 2," or what jazz theory calls a "combination diminished scale." It sounds quite different from church melody, but it is also a "melody". Well, I would be happy if you could express "music" by spinning the sound shown without being caught up in such theoretical matters.
