Wonderful! I really liked these two and cared about their friendship. Loved the gentle humour, irony, editing, and use of monochrome and then colour! Loved the way the torn-up art came back at the end. He has his space now to put up the art he loves, but his companion has gone. That's life. I'll watch your films from now on!
At the beginning my thoughts were like: What is it? I can't understand the message. But now, I think I understand them, the situation but can't explain. I just feel...
this is so good! I loved every second of it. You can feel the love for your project through the screen. Your films are gems that I think the whole world deserves to see. Never stop, keep blossoming. :)
I went to search up student short films to get inspiration for my own and this has made me equally inspired and motivated. Keep up the good work I’ve just found my new inspiration
Superb film, I was totally absorbed from beginning to end! I'm a fan of black & white, so thanks for that! I also love how you brought in typical elements of day to day living, that a married couple might struggle to endure, such as one peeing while the other was cleaning his teeth! One asking the other to turn the reading light off when in bed, and conflicting taste in decor. The top-to-toe sleeping arrangement told us clearly that this is not a same sex relationship, just two friends trying to cohabit in a small space (with the kitchen in a cupboard) that's far from ideal, and probably on a low budget. I remember it well! 👌🙌
great great great! From beginning to end, not only a captivating look, but also a captivating story! Love it. Great job very inspirational as a film student myself!
Hey man, I just stumbled across this film, not sure how, I think You Tube suggested it. Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you both on it. I thoroughly enjoyed, more so than some award winning shorts. I really enjoyed the cinematography and the editing of the film. I enjoyed the story too, I thought it was very relatable and I think it spoke to a higher truth about how people can lose their sense of individuality and self within a relationship. I particularly liked the shot towards the end of the head silhouetted against the window. Above all else I found the film to be inspiring, and that isn't often the case with some shorts. This one made you want to go out and just shoot a short film, which is ace. Keep up the good work, and I hope you manage to forge a career out of this, because you're skilled and talented enough to do so.
I thought this was very well done. By coincidence, Dina Washington's album used in this is one of my mother's favorite. The acting was talented, and the production and directing worked well, especially by the choice of using B/W most of the way through so that the nuance of color such as that last image of the reclaimed art work, represents a certain feeling. All in all, this is proof someone in Northhampton, Massachusetts has been really learning how to create a story in film.
Hey, I dont know If you Will read this but Im a Young student from Spain and my final work in college is going to be a short film Im making. So I was wondering If It would be posible to have an Interview with you to ask you for advice and to improve my work. Thank you!
Amazing film! One of the best films I’ve seen where everything hits, cinematography, sound, editing, etc. Great stuff guys! Keep doing great things! You just gained another subscriber!
Respectfully, this felt like 90% style, 10% substance - great Wes-Anderson-type still shots & filmmaking whilst also opting for the smart choice to use black and white colouring but the plot kinda doesn't really do too much & this was far from entertaining in any real impactful way.
Wow. Thank you random RUclips algorithm suggestion. What a terrific, engaging, well-crafted film. Fantastic!
awe :) thanks so much, means the world 🥰
please never stop making films
I agree

Outstanding! You packed more meaning into 11 minutes than in many professional full length films!

There's something about that final image I can't explain. I just _felt_ it. For this I thank you, for a long time.
