This fight somehow felt like the final fight for the entire Zelda series. Here's why: 1. Null felt like the true evil behind everything, knowingly or not. Demise and Ganon wanted to rule everything, but Null wanted to _destroy_ everything, and destruction of all is always more evil than conquest of all. I could see the Demon Tribe having been either corrupted by or even born from Null in one fashion or another - perhaps monsters were born from Null's resentment and hatred out of being trapped. 2. It seemed like Ganon was entirely forgotten by this point, and even the Triforce's original name was lost, and dubbed the "Prime Energy" instead. I even initially thought it was going to be related to the "light force" from The Minish Cap. With the "original" Ganon being defeated in the game's INTRO, it was high time for Null to step up. 3. If Null was somehow controlling Demise and then Ganon from behind the scenes, it's a case of him finally saying "if you want something done right, you need to do it yourself". He could have been causing rifts for years on end, long after Ganon was finally defeated for good somehow. 4. Null is an entity so powerful that the Golden Goddesses literally created Hyrule JUST to contain him. Granted, he's not _all-powerful_ - he saw the Triforce as a way to give himself a power boost, after all - but still insanely so...far more than Ganon or Demise could ever be. With Null destroyed, it seems like there's nothing left to truly threaten Hyrule's peace.
The original name of the Triforce being lost is interesting to think about, given that the symbol is referenced in BotW and TotK but never named there, either. It muddies the waters for potential timeline placements for EoW as well, since the map makes me want to instinctively place it in the Downfall Timeline (though quite a ways after Zelda II, given the name change for the Triforce), but it could very well happen in the same isolated "so far in the future you can't tell what timeline it's in" that BotW and TotK take place in.
Here's a hint to Null's weakness: The arms of Null have a similar property to Baba plant necks when stretched out. Link will immediately recognize what to do.
yep! Stretch out the arm using bind and link will go straight to chopping! Honestly the whole final boss fight, and working with an AI controlled link reminded me of Little Nightmares 2!

In fact, it could very well end up taking place after Adventure of Link, given that the River Zora are no longer hostile at all, and Hyrule is not being set up for an era of decline. (I believe that era of decline only even started because after the end of Tri Force Heroes, that incarnation of Link settled down in Hytopia, meaning his future descendants were no longer located close enough to notice Hyrule's troubles.
