As far as I know, there are no mutual funds options available in UAE for UAE markets - but there are REITS which you can invest here or ETFs / Mutual funds in US market.

These are important factors for sure, Funds in Pakistan charge 1-3% for both the components. You need to talk to the fund representative for full information.

Very good video but comparison should be Apple to Apple. You should compare AKD islamic fund with meezan funds. How's the situation of AKD islamic fund, in your opinion which should be better? Akd islamic fund or meezan Islamic fund
I just picked a few funds for analysis purpose, you can do easily from various online sources too... I just quickly did for Meezan and AKD islamic fund.... 20% appreciation from Meezan Islamic fund 29% appreciation by AKD islamic fund Above for last 1 year NAV values.

Thanks for the comment. I don't suggest any fund as that might be misleading. From the past returns - AKD has been doing very good (but I don't endorse it). Having said that - Past performance is not the guarantee of future returns. Moreover, thanks for the suggestions and I will definitely keep them in mind for upcoming videos. :)

I am going to have a Q&A session video and will address this. However, for 3-5 years the %age allocation should not be very high from your net investment, you never know what the market behaves in this term. I wont be able to suggest the individual stocks simply because I dont have this knowledge so far. However, if someone can, I would suggest to follow the mutual funds manager allocation and invest accordingly - it is the safest way i believe. Mutual funds also attract high fee, which you will avoid if you go for individual stocks.

Tax rate varies on different funds and also depends on the fact if you are filer on or. Plus most of the equity funds, if you keep the amount invested over a long period of time (I think 4 years), than the CGT is exempted.
We can do that by opening account with brokers like interactive brokers - but the only challenge is to transfer the funds from Pakistan to these brokers. There is an alternate of using SARWA platform on which I made video on as well, but its like investment robot and wont allow individual stock investment like apple.

I use the charts made by myself mostly - but data is collected from different websites. One of them is sarmaaya.pk for Pakistan specific data.
